  • Are there any way to apply regexp in java ignoring letter case?

    Simple example: we have string "Some sample string Of Text". And I want to filter out all stop words (i.e. "some" and "of") but I don't want to change letter case of other words which should be retained. If letter case was unimportant I would do this: str.toLowerCase().replaceAll ("a|the|of|some|any", ""); Is there an "ignore case" solution with regular expressions in java?

  • Queries stuck in "copying to tmp table"

    I am running some sample tests against mysql, and finding that there are a bunch of queries which are stuck in "copying to tmp tables". They remain stuck in the same state. They are usually aggregate queries and I can kill those queries. But how can I find out what is causing them to be stuck? I am using mysql 5.1.42 with the innodb plugin.

    Hello, I'm developing a web application and need to page ordered results. I normaly use LIMIT/OFFSET for this purpose. Which is the best way to page ordered results in Oracle? I've seen some samples using rownum and subqueries. Is that the way? Could you give me a sample for translating this SQL to Oracle: SELECT fieldA,fieldB FROM table ORDER BY fieldA OFFSET 5 LIMIT 14 (I'm using Oracle 10g, for what it's worth) Thanks!

The Notepad sample program on Google's website refers to <script src="closure-library/base.js" > </script > Can you simply download closure-library/base.js somewhere and start playing with the UI examples? The Closure Lite quick-start version doesn't appear to include goog.ui

I have seen how to capture and create a file, but I'm looking for ideas on how to capture into something like a MemoryStream to transport through a NetworkStream. I'm also using the library DirectShowLib for the ability to write in C# if that makes any difference. Of if there is a sample that I overlooked in the SDK I would greatly appreciate the direction.     hello, i have an array of points in 3d (imagine the trajectory of a ball) with X samples. now, i want to resample these points so that i have a new array with positions with y samples. y can be bigger or smaller than x but not smaller than 1. there will always be at least 1 sample. how would an algorithm look like to resample the original array into a new one? thanks!
