    I've looked at sites and MSDN documentation but I still don't understand the last parameter of PostMessage(). On forums in which people ask how to use PostMessage, people reply with one of two implementations: PostMessage(WindowHandle, WM_KEYDOWN, KeyCode, MapVirtualKey(KeyCode, 0) << 16); PostMessage(WindowHandle, WM_KEYDOWN, KeyCode, 0); What's the difference? Why can the last parameter be left as 0 in some instances, but has to be 'shifted' and all that in other instances? Just a quick question. Don't need essay replies (although they would be much appreciated). Any insight is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi In my report there is a table and a line. the table is showing rows of data from my DB. I want to know how you could make the table size commensurate with the line (make the length of the line is equal to the length of the table) I set the property "RepeatWith" in the line properties to the table in my report, but this isn't working because this will only work if the data region spans multiple pages.     hi all, in the last while I installed MS-TFS 2008 then started to get myself prepared to use Agile Process Guidance template shipped with the TFS. with little googling I passed through Mike Cohn materials: I watched his conference in youtube "sponsored by google: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fb9Rzyi8b90 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeT0pOVg0EI Read his book "Agile Estimating and Planning" Watching the video series in his website: http://www.mountaingoatsoftware.com/presentations-tag/video-recorded I was very happy while absorbing and eating the techniques he is using with the teams and how agile and scrum is such a great software process/methodology until I saw Mike answering a question regarding an architect role and talking about the requirements document... at that point everything start falling apart due to the following: Last year I had been assigned to make full analysis "including requirements gathering" for big project "very high priority project". within 2 months of hardwork, dedication and commitment I delivered the whole analysis with full satisfaction of the customer and my BOSS and ZERO amendments. Later on, the project entered the architecting, development ... phases. due to the fact that the system included many competitive and exciting features I requested patenting it and its going in the process... so imagine you are the kind of person who used to love facing all kind of challenges and returning with excellent experience and results for the stakeholders and yourself, How fairly agile and scrum processes will credit and admit your talent and passion while the scrum master/coach treat the team as one unit that accomplish user stories and converge through trial and error approach??!!!! with that dark thoughts about agile and scrum I found many people "anti agile" and on top of them is "Crispin Rogers Johnson": http://agile-crispin.blogspot.com/ that guy made anti statement for everything Mike Cohn used to talk about.   • Help with pregreplace and uniqid for jquery dialog boxes

    First of all, do not be overwhelmed by the long code, I just put it for reference...I have a function that runs preg_replace on each comment users post and puts matches in a jquery dialog box with a matching open-link. For example, if there is a paragraph with two matches, they will be put inside two divs, and a jquery dialog function will be echoed twice; one for each div. While this works for one match, if there are multiple matches, it does not. I am not sure how to distribute unique ids at a point in time for each of the divs and matching dialog open-scripts. Keep in mind, I removed the preg replace function since it kind of complicates the problem.   • Saving State Dynamic UserControls...Help!

    I have page with a LinkButton on it that when clicked, I'd like to add a Usercontrol to the page. I need to be able to add/remove as many controls as the user would like. The Usercontrol consists of three dropdownlists. The first dropdownlist has it's auotpostback property set to true and hooks up the OnSelectedIndexChanged event that when fired will load the remaining two dropdownlists with the appropriate values. My problem is that no matter where I put the code in the host page, the usercontrol is not being loaded properly. I know I have to recreate the usercontrols on every postback and I've created a method that is being executed in the hosting pages OnPreInit method. I'm still getting the following error: The control collection cannot be modified during DataBind, Init, Load, PreRender or Unload phases.     Hi all, I have a personal project I'm planning and I came to a small hurdle. I want to have an item with price that will be the default for all clients/users. However, in my business I have some clients that are grandfathered in to some special pricing. In the case of these grandfathered in cases, I'll manually plug their special price in my admin section. Then all they will see is their special pricing while the regular users/clients see the default price. What is the best and simplest way to design the back-end for this?     I'm embarrassed to post this but it's been awhile since I worked in C++, been with C# for awhile. I'm converting old (not written by me) vs2003 and 05 C++ code to vs 08. In addition to lots of lumps during conversion, I want to add debug logging so I can monitor what is going on when I attach with windbg. I've searched the archives here and ms and I think it's using Debugger.Log(...) but not sure. I also remember years ago launching a debug monitor to catch the logging. So the call to some experts that have a better memory than I. What call(s) can I make (without the DEBUG compile directive - need to watch release code) to catch the logging in wind bag? I followed a couple of debugging links from SO posts but they were dead. Thanx - Old Man.

    I'm building a CMS for my company's website (I've looked at the existing Django solutions and want something that's much slimmer/simpler, and that handles our situation specifically.. Plus, I'd like to learn this stuff better). I'm having trouble wrapping my head around generic relations. I have a Page model, a SoftwareModule model, and some other models that define content on our website, each with their get_absolute_url() defined. I'd like for my users to be able to assign any Page instance a list of objects, of any type, including other page instances. This list will become that Page instance's sub-menu.     This is the last issue with this app. Periodic force close situations. I think something should be on another thread but I'm not sure what. Anyway, I can always count on a freeze on first install.     I'm using the following regex to validate password complexity: /^.*(?=.{6,12})(?=.*[0-9]{2})(?=.*[A-Z]{2})(?=.*[a-z]{2}).*$/ In a nutshell: 2 lowercase, 2 uppercase, 2 numbers, min length is 6 and max length is 12. It works perfectly, except for the maximum length, when I'm using a minimum length as well. For example: /^.*(?=.{6,})(?=.*[0-9]{2})(?=.*[A-Z]{2})(?=.*[a-z]{2}).*$/ This correctly requires a minimum length of 6! And this: /^.*(?=.{,12})(?=.*[0-9]{2})(?=.*[A-Z]{2})(?=.*[a-z]{2}).*$/ Correctly requires a maximum length of 12. However, when I pair them together as in the first example, it just doesn't work!! My relational schema looks like this: Thread = (threadid, threadname, threadLocation) threadoffering = (threadid, season, year, user) user = (name, points) Then, what I need is to check: WHERE thread.threadid = threadoffering.threadid AND where threadoffering.year AND threadoffering.season = currentDate AND where threadoffering.User 1 GIVE 5 % raise TO user.points I hope it is explained thoroughly but otherwise here it is in short text: Give a 5 % “point raise” to all users who has more than 1 thread in threadLocation CS in the current year and season (always dynamic, so for example now is year = 2010 and season is = spring).
