    I want to display photo of employee who is login but our company doesn't want to expose the photos of all employees publically that is why we put that employees photos on a server that is not live but connected with the live server. Now problem it that when I run my website on localhost the photos of employees display but as soon as I publish it on IIS it doesn't display images. Please suggest a solution.

    Hi, I have an application that when executed as a windows application works fine, but when converted to a webservice, in some instances (which were tested succesfully) by the windows app) creates a stackoverflow. Do you have an idea of what can cause this? (Note that it works fine when the webservice is placed on the localhost).

    Hi All, Basically i developed my app on a localhost wamp server with PHP 5. ON uploading to the actual host i notice that The server is running php 4.4.9 Everytime i upload my .htaccess file, the server removes it completely.. seems to not be allowed When i test out the set all i get is a 404 page not found Any help on how to make it work on this PHP 4 server?

  • Importing wikipedia database dumb - kills navicat - anyone got any ideas?

    Ok guys I've downloaded the wikipedia xml dump and its a whopping 12 GB of data :\ for one table and I wanted to import it into mysql databse on my localhost - however its a humongous file 12GB and obviously navicats taking its sweet time in importing it or its more likely its hanged :(. Is there a way to include this dump or atleast partially at most you know bit by bit. Let me correct that its 21 GB of data - not that it helps :\ - does any one have any idea of importing humongous files like this into MySQL database.

    I've been trying to configure xdebug to work along with netbeans, my current configuration is [xdebug] zend_extension="C:\binaries\php\ext\php_xdebug-2.1.0RC1-5.3-vc6.dll" xdebug.remote_enable=on xdebug.remote_handler=dbgp xdebug.remote_host=127.0.0.1 (also tried localhost) xdebug.remote_port=9000 xdebug.idekey="netbeans-xdebug" I tried the test provided by a netbeans blog explaining how to test if the configuration works when binding it just outputs "unable to bind" Any suggestions?

  • How do I change the root directory of an apache server?

    Does anyone know how to change the document root of the Apache server? I basically want localhost to come from /users/spencer/projects directory instead of /var/www. Edit I ended up figuring it out. Some suggested I change the httpd.conf file, but I ended up finding a file in /etc/apache2/sites-available/default and changed the root directory from /var/www to /home/myusername/projects_folder and that worked.

    I just installed VisualSVN server yesterday at my home computer and I can access my repositories ok at localhost but when I try to access it remotely, it won't connect. Am I supposed to configure something else or is it not possible? I'm using https://servername/svn as the URL in my browser and the home computer is behind a router. This is only for personal use.     I am using PHP to access Solr and I wonder one thing. Why should I use Solr PHP client when I can use: $serializedResult = file_get_contents( 'http://localhost:8983/solr/select?q=niklas&wt=phps'); to get the result in arrays and then print them out? I don't really get the difference. Are there any richer features with the PHP client?

    I just ran into trouble with the AreaDescriptionFilter of Spark using MVC 2 Beta. The following line is from my Application.spark file. It results in the view engine looking in all possible locations of the view - except in the folders of the area "Shell". # Html.RenderAction("ShowMainMenu", "Navigation", new { area = "Shell" }); Running the same action using http://localhost/Shell/Navigation/ShowMainMenu executes fine and recognizes the area's view directory as expected. Any ideas how to fix this?

    Hi, I'm using ASP.Net and whenever I create a script file or try to include a script file like jQuery they aren't working. I am doing just a regular localhost server and none of the scripts are working. Upon further examination using firebug I look at whats being referenced in those scripts and it shows html code for a 404 error. I know the scripts and files are there and I can navigate directly to them in the browser but for some reason I can't reference them in my page. Here is a screenshot:

    As my server is not upgreaded to php 5.3 (it is in PHP Version 5.2.11) date_sub is not working. here is the code: $date = date_create(date('Y-m-d')); date_sub($date, date_interval_create_from_date_string('60 days')); $date1= date_format($date, 'Y-m-d'); but its ok in my localhost(which is in 5.3), but not in server(5.2.11). Can you please tell me how can i make this date subtraction working on 5.2.11 ?

Only problem is now I get slashes, before any quotes, that are visible on the webpage to the user it only happens when I upload it to the server. Never happens on my localhost. Why is this happening?

I have created an another page to get the page executed by some query string and get its output. The same codes did work when I use VS2008 build-in ASP.NET Development Server(http://localhost:2999/MyServices/MyServices.asmx). but when I use IIS normal URL(http://developer/MyServices/MyServices.asmx) to run Process.Start on the web service, it just haunlted and not doing anything.plz send one sample program.

  • Cannot complete a JSONP call from jQuery to WCF

    Okay, I am trying (poorly) to successfully make a JSONP call from jQuery on a test page to a WCF web service running locally, as a cross-domain call. I have, at one point or another, either gotten a 1012 URI denied error, gotten a response but in Xml, or just had no response at all. Currently, the way I have it configured it spits back a 1012. I did not write this web service, so it is entirely possible that I am just missing a configuration setting somewhere, but I've become so frustrated with it that I think just asking on here will be more productive.     If I use routing with 2 query parameters, like this: System.Web.Routing.RouteTable.Routes.MapPageRoute("HomeRoute", "home/{f1}/{f2}", "~/Home.aspx"); My image does not appear on my Home.aspx page: <img src="~/img/img.jpg" /> or <img src="img/img.jpg" /> But it does appear when I access the http://localhost:3760/Website/Home.aspx URL I tried using Routing.Ignore with no luck. I look for a solution wich should work for an unlimited number of subfolders: "home/{f1}/{f2}/.../{fn}"
