  • How to add "most recent emails from this user" to Gmail inbox as a sidebar

    I use and love gmail. However, since i use email for customer support, I'm always doing a cross reference lookup via the search feature to see my past conversations with the person whose email I'm reading. I'd love to have a right sidebar widget that shows me, for any email I choose to read, the list of previous conversations/emails with that person. Is this possible? I'm using Chrome Ideally, this sidebar would bump or replace the contextual ads that now display over there.

    I'm using Gmail (for domains) When viewing the inbox, converations are sorted by their 'last activity', usualy an email. However, when I view all conversations of a single label, by clicking the label in the box left on the screen, mails are ordered by first activity. Can anyone confirm this, and does anyone know how I can change this behaviour?

    Possible Duplicate: FireFox Gmail Notifier Plugin? Any body else have this problem? For the last 2-3 days it's not been working. I thought it might have been caused by another add-on, either a new one or updated one, so I disabled each one individually till I did them all. No luck. Haven't made any other changes to my system, Windows XP SP3.

    In the past couple of days I've been having trouble getting into gmail from firefox. In IE and chrome it works as usual but in Firefox it hangs in the "Loading" screen and never finishes. I've tried F5 and Ctrl+F5 but both don't seem to change anything. Any ideas?

    Hi, I've configured google apps (google services) to my domain for access mails some thing like mail.mysite.com. I've configured successfully all the accounts include admin and users also. But here the surprising thing is I cant able to receive any mails when i sent mails to admin@mysite.com. But I can able to send mails from the same account ([email protected])to any other email ids. Anybody know the reason? I'm working on the same thing from the week. Thanks in advance

    I have an http block where I include virtual hosts for the different domains hosted on the same server. For each virtual host I do: listen domain.com:80; Now, domain2.com works fine. However, when I do www.domain2.com it shows the page for domain1.com! How to properly configure nginx? Does this have something to do whether www is a CNAME or an A record?   • How do I allow all possible IPs for Gmail servers through my ufw firewall?

    I am currently using the following rule: ufw allow out from my_local_ip to any port 587 This is a little too lax for my liking. I would like to tighten it up and restrict it to only gmail's smtp server ip addresses, but they are always changing. I used to just wait until an outgoing email didn't make it to its destination, then check syslog for the ip address that was blocked, then add that to the ufw configure script. However, now I have a need for much more reliability. Is there any way to use smtp.gmail.com in ufw? I don't think so, but thought I would ask. Any other ideas? Thanks.

  • Why would e-mail from our own domain not be forwarded to gmail

    To solve a problem with spam on our server we tried to forward e-mail from our dedicated server's mailserver(matrix smtp service) to gmail, but while most e-mails got through e-mail from our own domain all went missing. They weren't in the inbox or spam or anywhere else. We've had to go back to using the old system, which means my boss gets a huge amount of spam. We have a windows 2003 server with iis 6 and the matrix smtp service installed. I've toyed with the idea of installing a mail proxy like ASSP but it looks pretty complicated. We're hosting 20 domains on the server as well as our own which has an online shop whose payment system depends on email. I can't start playing around with complicated solutions when it could have disastrous consequences and I don't know enough to implement them safely. So my question has two parts: Part One: Why can't we forward e-mails from people using the same domain. If our domain was foobar.com then boss@foobar.com can't receive from underling@foobar.com, but he can receive from everyone else. Part Two: Is there a really simple server side solution to spam that would work with matrix? For instance popfile?

    I just installed 12.04 and when clicking mailto: links Thunderbird opens. I want Gmail to open in the browser that the mailto: link is clicked. So if I am in Firefox and click a mailto: link a new FF tab opens with Gmailloaded. And if I am in Chrome and click a mailto: link then a new Chrome tab opens up with Gmail loaded. Is there a way to do this via some script? Or would I need to set this in some system settings?
