    Hi, Im trying to load a remote image into a pdf generated by tcpdf however I can't seem to get it to work? The rest of the pdf loads fine and it looks like to trying to retrieve the image however it just does print to the page?     I'm trying to create a tool which will help my team perform code reviews on a more regular basis without it's usual massive overhead. At the moment the manual process involves using Team Foundation Sidekicks to identify the Changesets and then exporting that to excel to filter the results to find which items need to be reviewed (e.g. code files). I've heard mention of using a TFS API, but found very little help online possibly because I was asking google 'the wrong questions'.

I've looked at solutions like Apache Cassandra and relations databases but couldn't find a comparison where disk usage is mentioned. Any ideas on this would be great.

    Without writing a custom ant task is there a way to use a timeout on a regular ant target? To give some background info ... we are using the delete task to remove all contents of a given directory. Sometimes this directory is massive with lots of generated folders and files. We wanted to have that task say timeout after 5 minutes. I could not find anything online anywhere ... any ideas?

    I have two strings which must be compared for similarity. The algorithm must be designed to find the maximal similarity. In this instance, the ordering matters, but intervening (or missing) characters do not. Edit distance cannot be used in this case for various reasons. The situation is basically as follows: string 1: ABCDEFG string 2: AFENBCDGRDLFG the resulting algorithm would find the substrings A, BCD, FG I currently have a recursive solution, but because this must be run on massive amounts of data, any improvements would be greatly appreciated

In your opinion, what is best available scripting language to manage massive amounts of files and file types?   • Flash Animation and Sound Loop

    ok so im having an issue with Flash CS5. I have a sound looping, and my animation is only 13 frames long, while the song is like a minute long, so each time the animation loops threw the default "Loop Playback" a new sound audio is played which os overlapping the previous over and over causing a massive echo effect. Whats the best way to loop both of them insync, or atleast copy and paste the animations frames and make it the length of the song?

  • Is it possible to disable Symfony framework support in NetBeans 6.8?

    Put simply: it causes a massive memory leak within an hour if I work on a Symfony project, and I don't use any of the features that it provides. I've looked through all of the menus and can't seem to see an option to disable support for it. Has anyone attempted or managed to remove this module from the IDE? I quite like NetBeans, but on the rare occasions when I need to work with a Symfony project it's causing me quite a headache.

    has anybody found a library that works well with large spreadsheets? I've tried apache's POI but it fails miserably working with large files - both reading and writing. It uses massive amounts of memory leaving you needing a supercomputer to parse or create a 20+mb spreadsheet. Surely there is a more memory efficient way and someone has written it?!

    I know NAnt sees frequent use (well, I always use it for my CI builds) but there has been no new official release since December 2007. Is the project receiving active development any more or is it dead-pooled? It worries me that if I carry on using it, and it stops tracking the latest version of .NET, I'll eventually be left with a massive job when it comes to upgrading systems to a version of the framework that it can't build. Has everyone else gone over to some other tool like MSBuild these days?

    The post office actually publishes a list of commonly used street suffixes in addresses: http://www.usps.com/ncsc/lookups/abbr_suffix.txt I want to take this list and make a ruby function that takes a string, takes the last word ("183 main strt".split[' '].last) and if it matches any of the commonly used street suffixes ("strt"), replace it with the official Postal Service Standard Suffix ("st"). Is there a better way to approach this than a massive str.sub.sub.sub.sub.sub?

  • Unit test helper methods?

    Hi, I have classes which prviously had massive methods so i subdivided the work of this method into 'helper' methods. These helper methods are declared private to enforce encapsulation - however I want to unit test the big public methods, is it good to unit test the helper methods too as if one of them fail the public method that calls it will also fail - but this way we can identify why it failed. Also in order to test these using a mock object I would need to change their visibility from private to protected, is this desirable?

I'm trying to use the following svn command to merge the content from test into prod: svn merge ./prod@HEAD ./test@HEAD ./prod However, my SVN repository is huge and this process takes an enormous amount of time.     I'm thinking that, as flat screens get bigger and cheaper it won't be too long before 'digital wallpaper'-like screens become popular in people's living rooms with a host of applications that could take advantage of this particular screen size/resolution. Is there a proper name for this size of screen? 'Wall Screen' - is too ambiguous 'Massive Screen' - is probably best reserved for something you'd put on the side of a sky scraper 'Small Screen' - nabbed by the mobiles 'Large Screen' - kind of means desktop I'm thinking of the kind of screen used in 'Minority Report'.

  • C#. Where struct methods code kept in memory?

    It is somewhat known where .NET keeps value types in memory (mostly in stack but could be in heap in certain circumstances etc)... My question is - where is the code of the struct? If I have say 16 byte of data fields in the struct and a massive computation method in it - I am presuming that 16 byte will be copied in stack and the method code is stored somewhere else and is shared for all instances of the struct. Are these presumptions correct?
