  • Table alias -- Unkown column in field list

    Hi all, I have a sql query which is executing a LEFT JOIN on 2 tables in which some of the columns are ambiguous. I can prefix the joined tables but when I try to prefix one of the columns from the table in the FROM clause, it tells me Unknown column. I even tried giving that table an alias like so ...From points AS p and using "p" to prefix the tables but that didn't work either. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong.   • Hacking "Contact Form 7" code to Add A "Referred By" field

    I've got about 6 subdomains that have a "contact us" link and I'm sending all these links to a single form that uses "Contact Form 7". I add ?from=site-name to each of the links so that I can set a $referredFrom variable in the contact form. The only two things I'm missing are (1) the ability to insert this referredFrom variable into the email that I get whenever someone submits the form and (2) The ability to redirect the user back to the site they came from (stored in $referredFrom) Any ideas?     Hello stackers! I've got a wonderfully fun little SQL problem to solve today and thought I'd ask the community to see what solutions you come up with. We've got a really cool email to text service that we use, you just need to send an email to [email protected] and it will send a text message to the desired phone number. For example to send a text to 0790 0006006, you need to send an email to [email protected], pretty neat huh? The problem is with the phone numbers in our database. Most of the phone numbers are fine, but some of them have "rubbish" mixed in with the phone number. Take these wonderful examples of the rubbish you need to deal with (I've anonymised the phone numbers by placing zeroes in): 07800 000647(mobile) 07500 000189 USE 1ST SEE NOTES 07900 000415 HO ONLY try 1st 0770 0000694 then home 07500 000465 Cannot Requirements The solution needs to be in SQL (for MS SQL server). So the challenge is as follows, we need to get the phone number without spaces, and without any of the rubbish seen in the samples. For example: This: try 1st 0770 0000694 then home Should become this: 07700000694 Anything without a phone number in it (e.g. "SEE NOTES") should be null.

    So I have this table of book orders, it contains 2 columns, one is the order ID(primary key) and another is the ID of the book that the customer ordered. For example: | OrderID | BookID | | 0001 | B002 | | 0002 | B005 | | 0003 | B002 | | 0004 | B003 | | 0005 | B005 | | 0006 | B002 | | 0007 | B002 | What I want is to get the IDs of the books that got 2 or more purchases/orders, for example if I run the SQL query against the above data, I would get this as the result: | BookID | | B002 | | B005 | I don't know if this can be archived in SQL or I have to built a simpler statement and repetitive run the query against all the records in another language. I need some help and thanks for reading my question.

  • Joomla , forms with upload and custom field from inside the administration panel

    I want a plugin for joomla like jforms or chronoforms in order to make a form to upload videos along with other custom fields to db and manage them. The only problem is I want this functionality to be made from inside the administrator console and not to appear on a page at my site's frontend. My site does not have a login service , so I need to make the admin able to login to administration panel and from there to upload and manage videos.   • SQL query to get field value distribution (mode)

    I have a table of over 1 million test score records that basically have a unique score_ID, a subject_ID and a score given by a person. The score range for most subjects is 0-3, but some have a range of 0-4. There are about 25 possible subjects. I need to produce a score distribution report which looks like: subject_ID 0 1 2 3 4 ---------- --- --- --- --- --- 1 967 576 856 234 2 576 947 847 987 324 . . So it groups the data by subject_ID, then shows how many times a specific score value was given within that subject. Any SQL pointers to generate this would be greatly appreciated.

    This has got to be a FAQ, so can someone please just direct me to a "network programming for dummies" URL? The server wants to push information to a client or broadcast to all, when an event happens - as opposed to the clients constantly polling the server "just in case". The client then updates a browser page display. How do I do that? (toldya it was a n00b question) Should I have a thread which receives info on a socket and then writes it to a database which the browser display (PHP) can process with an HTML refresh tag, or what?     Hi all, I have two questions about Google's dense_hash_map, which can be used instead of the more standard unordered_map or hash_map: How do I use an arbitrary binary data memory segment as a key: I want a buffer+length pair, which may still contain some NUL (\0) characters. I can see how I use a NUL-terminated char * string , but that's not what I want. How do I implement an operation where I look if a key exists, and if not - insert it and if it does return the pointer to the existing key and let me know what actually happened.     I'm trying to build a gadget that detects pistol shots using Android. It's a part of a training aid for pistol shooters that tells how the shots are distributed in time and I use a HTC Tattoo for testing. I use the MediaRecorder and its getMaxAmplitude method to get the highest amplitude during the last 1/100 s but it does not work as expected; speech gives me values from getMaxAmplitude in the range from 0 to about 25000 while the pistol shots (or shouting!) only reaches about 15000. With a sampling frequency of 8kHz there should be some samples with considerably high level. Anyone who knows how these things work? Are there filters that are applied before registering the max amplitude. If so, is it hardware or software? Thanks, /George
