  • Set default browser when debugging WPF?

    I'm using VWD Express 2008 to develop a WPF Browser Application. When I start debugging, it launches the XBAP in my default browser, which is Opera. Obviously, XBAPs don't work in Opera, so I have to repeatedly right-click on the document to open in IE. Is there any way to change the settings for PresentationHost.exe so that it always opens with IE? A registry setting, perhaps?

  • wcf trying to set up tracing to debug, not writing to log file

    here's my web.config, running a WCF service in an application on IIS7, but nothing is being written to the specified file. permission on the file has been granted for everyone. </listeners> I can add a service reference just fine. I then try to call the service from a windows app and, after a few minutes, get an error on the machine running the windows app "Client is unable to finish the security negotiation within the configured timeout (00:00:00). The current negotiation leg is 1 (00:00:00)." but absolutely nothing is written to the trace log file specified in config. Is there something else I need to do to enable tracing? thanks for your help EDIT: "sources" section now matches the section recommended here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa702726.aspx I've added the "diagnostics and the event viewer shows: "Message Logging has been turned on.     I have a custom UITableViewCell which I have created in IB. My labels display when I don't over-ride: - (CGFloat)tableView:(UITableView *)tblView heightForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath however my content is squished. I want the height to be 120px so I have the following: - (CGFloat)tableView:(UITableView *)tblView heightForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { CGFloat rowHeight = 120; return rowHeight; } I'm not sure why the content inside of my UITableViewCell all of a sudden disappears?

When tabbing through the input fields the submit button is never getting the focus, some other input fields in a different form on the page gets the focus. Those are all having tabindexes higher than 3. I don't want duplicate combinations, although I could live with them, eg in the above example I don't really need the combination [1,3,2] because it already present as [1,2,3]

    I was going through Nicholas Zakas presentation on JavaScript here : http://www.slideshare.net/nzakas/writing-efficient-javascript (slide number: 89/139) He recommends using cssText property whenever you are setting a bunch of styles through JavaScript. The best solution is obviously adding those styles to a class and then using JS to add the classname to an element.However, in many situations, We resort to just setting the properties directly within JS when the number of properties are low. It seems from his presentation that using cssText property would be more efficient in such scenarios.I tried to look up more on the property but couldn't find much information. Has anyone used the 'cssText' property ? It would be great to have some more technical info on how the property helps.

    Hello all. I am implementing a UDP data transfer thing. I have several questions about UDP buffer. I am using UDPClient to do the UDP send / receive. and my broadband bandwidth is 150KB/s (bytes/s, not bps). I send out a 500B datagram out to 27 hosts 27 hosts send back 10KB datagram back if they receive. So, I should receive 27 responses, right? however, I only get averagely 8 - 12 instead. I then tried to reduce the size of the response down to 500B, yes, I receive all. A thought of mine is that if all 27 hosts send back 10KB response at almost same time, the incoming traffic will be 270KB/s (likely), that exceeds my incoming bandwidth so loss happens. Am I right? But I think even if the incoming traffic exceeds the bandwidth, is the Windows supposed to put the datagram in the buffer and wait for receive? I then suspect that maybe the ReceiveBufferSize of my UdpClient is too small? by default, it is 8092B?? I don't know whether I am all right at these points. Please give me some help.

  • QT QSslError being signaled with the error code set to NoError

    My Problem I compiled OpenSSL into QT to enable OpenSSL support. Everything appeared to go correctly in the compile. However, when I try to use the official HTTP example application that can be found here, everytime I try to download an https page, it will signal two QSslError, each with contents NoError. The types of QSslErrors, including NoError, are documented here, poorly. There is no explanation on why they even included an error type called NoError, or what it means. Bizarrely, the NoError error code seems to be true, as it downloads the remote https document perfectly even while signaling the error. Does anyone have any idea what this means and what could possibly be causing it? Optional Background Reading Here is the relevant part of the code from the example app (this is connected to the network connection's sslErrors signal by the constructor): void HttpWindow::sslErrors(QNetworkReply*,const QList<QSslError> &errors) { QString errorString; foreach (const QSslError &error, errors) { if (!errorString.isEmpty()) errorString += ", "; errorString += error.errorString(); } if (QMessageBox::warning(this, tr("HTTP"), tr("One or more SSL errors has occurred: %1").arg(errorString), QMessageBox::Ignore | QMessageBox::Abort) == QMessageBox::Ignore) { reply->ignoreSslErrors(); } } I have tried the old version of this example, and it produced the same result. I have tried OpenSSL 1.0.0a and 0.9.8o. I have tried tried compiling OpenSSL myself, I have tried using pre-compiled versions of OpenSSL from the net. All produce the same result. If this were my first time using QT with SSL, I would almost think this is the intended result (even though their example application is popping up error warning message windows), if not for the fact that last time I played with QT, using what would now be an old version of QT with an old version of SSL, I distinctly remember everything working fine with no error windows. My system is running Windows 7 x64.

Basically I have some XML like this: <countries> <country handle="bangladesh"/> <country handle="india"/> <country handle="pakistan"/> </countries> And some XSLT like this (which doesn’t work): <xsl:template match="/countries"> <xsl:param name="popular"/> <xsl:apply-templates select="country[count($popular/country[@handle = current()/@handle]) &gt; 0]" /> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="/countries/country"> … </xsl:template> I want to pass in a list of popular destinations like this: <popular> <country handle="india"/> <country handle="pakistan"/> </popular> …to the /countries template and have it only operate on the ones in the $popular param. At the moment this simply does nothing. Changing the selector to country[true()] operates on them all, so at least I know the basic structure is right. Any ideas? I think I may be getting confused by what is currently “current()”.

    In Html 5, there is an new attribute on textbox call autofocus. The problem is it is a boolean value (there or not there) It should look something like : <input name="a" value="" autofocus> I try : <%= Html.TextBox( "a", null, new { autofocus } ) %> But, it's give me an error because I'm not setting a value to autofocus... I know I can do it manually, but can I do it with Html.TextBox ?
