I have an asp.net web app that has Session state stored in sql server. I need to keep track of the time spent by a user on each page. How can i do that using cookies?
In searching the web I came across http://groupaware.mobi/iphone which
has a sample iphone navigation site.
Is there someplace I can find a similar thing for android? i.e.
sample web pages with css, sample templates, navigation etc.
If not, what suggestions would you have to offer to someone looking
to build a web page for android?
i have setup a profanity filter with bad words in a XML file and have the following function to run on my page to replace the words:
BadWordFilter.Instance.GetCleanString(TextBox1.Text);
i'm about to go through my entire site now wrapping that function around every little text variable one by one and it's going to be a huge pain in the butt
i'm hoping there's a way that i could just set my masterpage to automatically run all text through this thing on any page_load, so that the effect would be site-wide instantly. is this possible?
much appreciated for any help
So a form is submitted on my site, with form action equal to itself.
I want the user to be able to refresh the page without sending the same variables again.
I thought unset($_POST); would accomplish this for some reason it doesn't is there another way to accomplish this?
We have an existing PHP page (from an earlier project) which could be described as cryptic and ancient. It basically displays a form, catches the input and runs an external application to process the input and then pipes the output to the user.
I would really like not to modify this file any more than is required. Would there be an easy way to just make this file magically work by copying it to some location in the CakePHP's directory and have it receive $POST etc. as usual?
I haven't seen a question like this. I have a prev/next paging control on my page, one at the top and one at the bottom like this:
top pager
product catalog
bottom pager
Each pager is bound to a PagedDataSource that is exactly the same. I don't want to duplicate effort, so I am trying to figure out a way to do the processing once, but show the control twice.
Hello,
I am trying to add an image from a local directory to a php page on my localhost. It adds fine, but does not display the image.
What exactly am I doing wrong here?
Thanks

Just like using the many twitter or facebook widgets out there that pull the feed and display it in a nice widget, I want to create a "widget" that pulls a feed from a wordpress blog that I have, and displays it on a static, non-wordpress page. Before I try getting my hands dirty with jquery, do you know if there is any pre-existing code or plugins out there that I can use?
I've got a simple Rails application running as a splash page for a website that's going through a transition to a new server. Since this is an established website, I'm seeing user requests hitting pages that don't exist in the Rails application.
How can I redirect all unknown requests to the homepage instead of throwing a routing error?
I just moved a wordpress site from one server to another, and I keep getting this error.
Warning: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed in /home/finer/public_html/wp-content/themes/barely-corporate/template_portfolio.php on line 41
I have been on the Wordpress support site but couldn't find a solution. Can someone please HELP!? Here is the link to the page where the error keeps coming up:

I have the following two frames frame 1 with name="top" and frame 2 with name "main". Now in main there is a button called add number, which brings up a normal browser popup, in this popup I have a form that needs to be filled in and then I click submit on this form and then the main frame should reload, the form processing happens within the popup page and then after processing the main frame should refresh. The following code does not work, Am I doing something wrong?
window.opener.main.reload();
I want to pass data to id
<script language="javascript" src="/foo.aspx?id=1"></script>
I have this code in a aspx page.
The data should be passed on load, before this code is being executed.
how can i do that?
I have two sites that are app1 and app2. If a user requests a resource in app2, in order to authenticate, I like to redirect to the login page which is in app1. Once authenticated over there, return back to app2.
Can you please tell what are necessary steps?

Hello,
I found that if you press F5 or refress from browser window, the last event fires again
example, I have clicked on a button, the button event is carried out normally, but if I refresh the page by pressing F5 key the same event is fired again.
anyone have any Idea to solve this?
$(function(){
$('a').each(function(){
var x=this.href;
this.href="www.somesitename.com/filter"+this.href;
});
});
i wrote the above jQuery script to append some site name to all the links in the page but it's not working as expected.
I have been using the NavigationService's Navigate method to navigate to other pages in my WP7 Silverlight app:
NavigationService.Navigate(new Uri("/Somepage.xaml?val=dreas", UriKind.Relative));
From Somepage.xaml, I then retrieve the query string parameters as follows:
string val;
NavigationContext.QueryString.TryGetValue("val", out val);
I now need a way to pass a complex object using a similar manner. How can I do this without having to serialize the object every time I need to pass it to a new page?
I have a problem that I have been trying to figure out and haven't been able to get past it because Chrome/FireFox/IE do not publicly publish their "rules" for pop up blocking when it comes to JavaScript, Flash, etc. I am trying to trigger a window.open() when a user clicks anywhere on page. I've tried this:
document.onclick = window.open("http://msn.com");
But all 3 browsers are blocking the popup, even though it is a user interaction.
Hi peoples, I'm building a pdf document with reportlab, using the Paragraph class:
doc = SimpleDocTemplate(response, leftMargin=lateral_margin, rightMargin=lateral_margin,
topMargin=top_bottom_margin, bottomMargin=top_bottom_margin)
Document = []
Document.append(Paragraph("bla bla bla bla", my_style))
doc.build(Document)
Now I want to add at the end of every page a string, how can I do that??
