• ASP Classic and JavaScript check for session status

  I am in need of some help with trying to figure out how to go about checking the users session and seeing if they are still logged in or not. The problem being is because i have a static page that pretty much loads everything into "tabs" using jquery. So when the user navigates the page, it really never leaves that same page they started out on. Hints my problem in trying to determine if they are still logged in or not when they click on update their information on their profile or whatnot.

• Is a clear and replace more efficient than a loop checking all records?

  I have a C# List, that is filled from a database.. So far its only 1400 records, but I expect it to grow a LOT.. Routinely I do a check for new data on the entire list.. What I'm trying to figure out is this, is it faster to simply clear the List and reload all the data from the table, or would checking each record be faster.. Intuition tells me that the dump and load method would be faster, but I thought I should check first...

Here are my requirements: Up to 8 characters Can only be alphanumeric Can only contain up to three alpha characters [a-z] (zero alpha characters are valid to) Any ideas would be appreciated.   Any tips How to figure out where is memory leak in my Facebook app, its ASPX using Facebook toolkit DLL and I am afraid the bug may be in that CS library.   I was looking at the ImageConverter class, trying to figure out how to convert a BufferedImage to 8-bit color, but I have no idea how I would do this. I was also searching around the internet and I could find no simple answer, they were all talking about 8 bit grayscale images. I simply want to convert the colors of an image to 8 bit... nothing else, no resizing no nothing. Does anyone mind telling me how to do this.

  Hi, I've been scratching my head for hours trying to figure this out. I have this page: http://173.203.72.190/default.aspx. On clicking 'Any Cuisine', a sort of overlay is supposed to open. It works fine in nearly all browsers except IE6 and Opera. In IE6 and Opera, the jQuery 'overlay' won't open. Anybody have any ideas why this might be?

  At work we use a branching strategy where all changes start off in a development branch, then subsequently make their way through one or more integration branches, and finally end up in a release branch. Occasionally (more often than I'd like) I find myself needing to figure out where a particular change originated (which development branch). In this case I have to spend a considerable amount of time playing detective to trace a change backwards through 2-3 merges. Am I missing an easy way to do this?

• CKEditor Custom Plugins Button

  I've written a custom plugin for CKEditor--successful on all fronts, save one currently: I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to customize the image on the button in the toolbar of the editor. As I'm a new user, you'll have to click through to see attached image; the highlighted square in the top left should have a pretty picture (like most of the other toolbar items).
