For example I know in Java, you must do it as the first line of the subclass constructor (and if you don't an implicit call to a no-arg super constructor is assumed - giving you a compile error if that's missing).

What problems is LISP facing that is holding it back from (re)emerging as popular language?   In Java it's perfectly legal for an interface to extend an interface. Does this relationship in UML look like an "extends" relationship (solid line, closed, unfilled arrowhead) or an "implements" relationship (dotted line, close, unfilled arrowhead)? I can't seem to find an example of this relationship either online or in Fowler's book.

  The code I'm working with has a class called Environment that is not in any namespace. Unfortunately if I am in a class that imports the System namespace, there is no way to refer to the custom class called Environment. I know this was an unfortunate choice and should be refactored, but is there any way I can explicitly refer to the conflicting class? In C++ it seems the way to do this is by using ::, and in Java there is something called global:: How do I do it in C#?

• Do really need a count lock on Multi threads with one CPU core?

  If i have some code looks like this(Please ignore the syntax, i want to understand it without a specified language): count = 0 def countDown(): count += 1 if __name__ == '__main__': thread1(countDown) thread2(countDown) thread3(countDown) Here i have a CPU with only one core, do i really need a lock to the variable count in case of it could be over-written by other threads.
