• Flash Overlapping HTML. CSS Problem In IE??

    - by Jascha
HELP, this is a very unique problem and I can't for the life of me figure it out. My flash content is overlapping the HTML above it. This only happens if I've just launched IE after being restarted and goes away once I refresh the page. I even added a jQuery $(document).ready function that sets a margin between the html and the flash content to add 1px of space when the page is loaded. It's so hard to figure out, because once I refresh the page, it goes away. Any input GREATLY appreciated. Here is the site. http://www.californiaremodels.com (This only happens in IE) here is a screen shot of the problem.

  • HTML, CSS: how can I merge these divs in order to use float:left property on their children ?

    - by Patrick
hi, I've 2 sets of thumbnails and in each set I'm displaying them one nearby each other in 4 columns using float:left. I would like to "merge" the 2 sets (but I cannot change the html code) because I want the thumbnails of the second set floating right after the last thumbnail of the first set. In other terms, if in the last row there are only 2 thumbnails and the last 2 columns are empty, the thumbnails of the second set should fill the empty columns of the last row of the first set. This is the code...

How can I merge these divs in order to use float:left property on their children ? thanks

    - by Michael Pasqualone
I've got the following code; however it's not given me the desired result - what I am after is as per the image below, what am I doing wrong?

My text & stuff, overflow??

Icon1

Icon2

Desired result:

  • CSS: How to make a Div of text underneath another Div selectable?

    - by jesse
Hi, I have a few empty Divs on a page that are basically empty boxes to help me position some stuff to make a "liquid" website. Now I've got content underneath these Divs but I can't highlight/click on the links because these empty Divs are blocking it. I've got a reason I need to have the empty Divs to be on the top layer so I need a way to "click through" these Divs. What can I do? Thanks.

  • Does pngfix only affect images in the markup vs in the css?

    - by Peter
I have a sprite that I'm using for rounded corners. The left corner sits on top of a gradient background, but the right corner sits on a white background. I don't want to have to put the images on the page as I'd rather have them in a sprite and just move the placement through the background property. Will something like pngfix not work if the png is not in the markup?

  • Animate css attributes: set "bottom" and remove "top"

    - by Slevin
    I'm working on a few animations with jQuery. I have 3-4 elements which should slide in from the top. I defined their positions with css: #element-1 { top:124px; left:0px; right:auto; bottom:auto; } #element-2 { top:230px; left:670px; right:auto; bottom:auto; } #element-3 { top:auto; left:0px; right:auto; bottom:100px; } Then I save their positions initial on pageload, cause i have to manipulate the css value to top: -1000px to hide them and make the "slide in from top" animation possible. var image_margins = []; $('img').each(function() { var obj = $(this), id = obj.attr('id'), mtop = obj.css('top'), mleft = obj.css('left'), mright = obj.css('right'), mbottom = obj.css('bottom'); // save alle margins in array image_margins[id] = {mtop:mtop,mleft:mleft,mright:mright,mbottom:mbottom}; // hide all content elements obj.css({'top':'-1000px'}); }); When the user clicks the animate button, the elements should slide to their saved positions. The problem: i can't remove the top attribute. Some elements only have bottom margins. I tried to set top to auto or '', but it's always 0px in DOM inspector. And bottom don't work if top is set. How can i get rid of the top attribute? $('.button').click(function(){ $('img').each(function() { var image = $(this), id = image.attr('id'), timeout = 0; setTimeout(function() { var mtop, mleft, mright, mbottom; if (image_margins[id].mtop != 'auto') { mtop = image_margins[id].mtop; } else { mtop = ''; } if (image_margins[id].mleft != 'auto') { mleft = image_margins[id].mleft; } else { mleft = ''; } if (image_margins[id].mright != 'auto') { mright = image_margins[id].mright; } else { mright = ''; } if (image_margins[id].mbottom != 'auto') { mbottom = image_margins[id].mbottom; } else { mbottom = ''; } image.animate({'top':mtop,'left':mleft,'right':mright,'bottom':mbottom},500); },timeout); timeout = timeout + 200; }); });

  • How Can I Move the Web Browsers Scrollbar and Style It (CSS)?

    - by ThatMacLad
Upon visiting the site that I'm currently working on you would immediately notice the fact that a bar placed at the top of your browser follows you down as you scroll through the blogs posts. I was wondering if there was any method which I could use to both shift the scrollbar below the bar rather than beside it and then style the bar to suit the sites style. Image:
