Is it legal to develop a game using D&D rules?

For a while now I've been thinking about trying my hand at creating a game similar in spirit and execution to Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale and offshoots. I'd rather not face the full bulk of work in implementing my own RPG system - I'd like to use D&D rules. Now, reading about the subject it seems there is something called "The License" which allows a company to brand a game as D&D. This license seems to be exclusive, and let's just say I don't have the money to buy it :p. Is it still legal for me to implement and release such a game? Commercially or open-source? I'm not sure exactly which edition would fit the best, but since Baldur's Gate is based of 2nd edition, could I go ahead an implement that? in short: what are the issues concerning licensing and publishing when it comes to D&D? I've changed some settings in my website, and now I need to redirect from: www.plugb.com/home/game/a www.plugb.com/home/something/else www.plugb.com/home/game/b ... to www.plugb.com/game/a www.plugb.com/something/else www.plugb.com/game/b ... Strange menu issue

Just started out with Orchard and trying to just make pages and menus. I'm running into an issue where on my home page my menu shows: Home, Fruit, Vegetable, Carrot. I want it to show just Home, Fruit, Vegetable and when I click the respective item it adds the proper tabs. It DOES do it with Banana. ie: When I click Fruit, it shows Banana in the menu. But it always shows Carrot for some reason! I have the following setup. Navigation -Main Menu --Home --Fruit --Vegetable -Fruit Menu --Banana -Vegetable Menu --Carrot Widgits > Navigation > Main Menu, Fruit Menu, Vegetable Menu (Fruit and Vegetable Menus are in their own respective layers.) putting <%=yield %> in a partial for ajax jquery calls

My aim is to Install the Ubuntu 10.04 desktop version on a remote machine using PXE-BOOT. I'm trying to apply the steps given in PXE-BOOT for Ubuntu 9.10 . (I know this is for 9.10). In "Step 8. Setting Up Boot Files", it says cp -a /media/cdrom/install/netboot/* /tftpboot/ but I wasn't able to find the netboot folder in my Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop CD-Rom. Does that folder only exist in Ubuntu Server edition? Is it possible to do this in the Desktop edition?

There is now available the new version of the VirtualBox Demonstration Image, "BIC2g 2012-10" for Partners; including support for OBI, Exalytics, BI Applications, and EPM Hyperion applications. This is a demonstration, training and POV image that contains BI/Exalytics, BI Applications, and EPM product (software). It was originally developed to support internal Oracle Exalytics training, and has been expanded to include BI Applications. It is an OVA virtual appliance that can be imported into VirtualBox. I want to archive all .ctl files in a folder, recursively. tar -cf ctlfiles.tar `find /home/db -name "*.ctl" -print` The error message : tar: Removing leading `/' from member names tar: /home/db/dunn/j: Cannot stat: No such file or directory tar: 74.ctl: Cannot stat: No such file or directory I have these files: /home/db/dunn/j 74.ctl and j 75. Notice the extra space. What if the files have other special characters? How do I archive these files recursively?

I am having trouble creating a different image to appear when you place your curser over the original image. Hi all, I am currently Developing application in MVC2 I have want to used mutiple form tags in My application In My View I have Created a table which has Delete option which i am doing through Post for Individual Delete so i have Create form tag for each button. i also want user to give option to delete mutiple records so i am providing them with checkboxes.This form should have all the values of checkboxes and all. so form gets render Like this for Each delete button <form action="/Home/MutipleDelete" method="post"> <input class="button " name="Compare" type="submit" value="Mutipledelete" style="margin-right:132px;" /> <input id="chk1" name="chk1" type="checkbox" value="true" /> <form action="/Home/Delete" method="post"> <input type="submit" class="submitLink" value="member1" /> <input type="hidden" name="hfmem1" id="hfmem1" value="1" /> </form> <input id="chk2" name="chk2" type="checkbox" value="true" /> <form action="/Home/Delete" method="post"> <input type="submit" class="submitLink" value="member2" /> <input type="hidden" name="hfmem2" id="hfmem2" value="2" /> </form> </form> The following is not working . but IF i write my code that form renders in this way <form action="/Home/MutipleDelete" method="post"> <input class="button " name="Compare" type="submit" value="Mutipledelete" style="margin-right:132px;" /> </form> <input id="chk1" name="chk1" type="checkbox" value="true" /> <form action="/Home/Delete" method="post"> <input type="submit" class="submitLink" value="member1" /> <input type="hidden" name="hfmem1" id="hfmem1" value="1" /> </form> <input id="chk2" name="chk2" type="checkbox" value="true" /> <form action="/Home/Delete" method="post"> <input type="submit" class="submitLink" value="member2" /> <input type="hidden" name="hfmem2" id="hfmem2" value="2" /> </form> it is working in Mozilla but not in IE.I have debug and Checked values in formcollection In contoller.What to do.?
