• jQuery serialize does not register checkboxes

  I'm using jQuery.serialize to retrieve all data fields in a form. My problem is that it does not retriev checkboxes that is not checked. It includes this: <input type="checkbox" id="event_allDay" name="event_allDay" class="checkbox" checked="checked" /> but not this <input type="checkbox" id="event_allDay" name="event_allDay" class="checkbox" /> How can I get "values" of checkboxes that is not checked?

  Given that SSE 4.2 (Intel Core i7 & i5 parts) includes a CRC32 instruction, it seems reasonable to investigate whether one could build a faster general-purpose hash function. According to this only 16 bits of a CRC32 are evenly distributed. So what other transformation would one apply to overcome that? David

  I have no choice but to play wav files directly in the browser (serverside encoding to mp3 isn't an option, unfortunately.) What's the best way to do this? I'd really like to take advantage of the HTML 5 audio tag but my target audience includes many, many teens using IE6.   Fatal error: Call to a member function getArea() on a non-object in {directory}/includes/src/Mage_Core_Model_App_Area.php on line 155 Cropped up when I installed an extension that I wrote on a clean install of Magento. When ported to the dev server it took it down and I cant seem to find where it has originated. Disabling the extension changes nothing. Along with clearing the cache and all the regular Magento hiccups. I've ensured that file permissions are correct to the best of my knowledge.
