  • Search for -1 in Solr

    - by Znarkus
Hi! I have an optional property of type pfloat, that can either be an encoded numeric value, or -1 if the property is not set. Numerics are encoded to be range searchable (1 is encoded to something like 10000000001), but -1 will always be -1. How can I search a field for -1? property:-1 throws parse error and property:'-1' doesn't return anything. Thanks for help!

  • Functional programming approach for Java's input/output streams

    - by Elazar Leibovich
I'm using Java's DataInputStream with scala to parse some simple binary file (which is very bad exprerience due to the lack of unsigned types, even in scala, but that's a different story). However I find myself forced to use mutable data structure, since Java's streams are inherently state preserving entities. What's a good design to wrap Java's streams with nice functional data structure?

  • PHP object class variable

    - by mck89
I have built a class in PHP and I must declare a class variable as an object. Everytime I want to declare an empty object I use: $var=new stdClass; But if I use it to declare a class variable as class foo { var $bar=new stdClass; } a parse error occurs. Is there a way to do this or must I declare the class variable as an object in the constructor function? PS: I'm using PHP 4.

  • Where can I find a library that parses source code and is able to extract the scope of where your cursor is currently in the code?

    - by Anthony
In SublimeText(2), when you press [ctrl + shift + p] (mac osx) you are shown a scope of where your caret/cursor is in the source code at the given moment e.g.: entity.name.tag.inline.any.html meta.tag.inline.any.html text.html.basic I am curious about what library or script is used to parse the document/file and create that scope string. A sidenote: Typing view.syntax_name(view.sel()[0].b) into Sublime's console will output the scope as well.

  • Create a timer countdown using hours, minutes & seconds from a future date

    - by Tommy Coffee
I am using some code I found on the internet that creates a countdown from a certain date. I am trying to edit the code so that it only gives me a countdown from an hour, minute, and second that I specify from a future date. I cannot just have code that counts down from a specified time, I need it to countdown to a specified date in the future. This is important so that if the browser is refreshed the countdown doesn't start over but continues where left off. I will be using cookies so the browser remembers what future date was specified when it was first run. Here is the HTML: <form name="count"> <input type="text" size="69" name="count2"> </form> And here is the javascript: window.onload = function() { //change the text below to reflect your own, var montharray=new Array("Jan","Feb","Mar","Apr","May","Jun","Jul","Aug","Sep","Oct","Nov","Dec") function countdown(yr,m,d){ var theyear=yr; var themonth=m; var theday=d var today=new Date() var todayy=today.getYear() if (todayy < 1000) todayy+=1900; var todaym=today.getMonth() var todayd=today.getDate() var todayh=today.getHours() var todaymin=today.getMinutes() var todaysec=today.getSeconds() var todaystring=montharray[todaym]+" "+todayd+", "+todayy+" "+todayh+":"+todaymin+":"+todaysec futurestring=montharray[m-1]+" "+d+", "+yr var dd=Date.parse(futurestring)-Date.parse(todaystring) var dday=Math.floor(dd/(60*60*1000*24)*1) var dhour=Math.floor((dd%(60*60*1000*24))/(60*60*1000)*1) var dmin=Math.floor(((dd%(60*60*1000*24))%(60*60*1000))/(60*1000)*1) var dsec=Math.floor((((dd%(60*60*1000*24))%(60*60*1000))%(60*1000))/1000*1) if(dday==0&&dhour==0&&dmin==0&&dsec==1){ document.forms.count.count2.value=current return } else document.forms.count.count2.value= dhour+":"+dmin+":"+dsec; setTimeout(function() {countdown(theyear,themonth,theday)},1000) } //enter the count down date using the format year/month/day countdown(2012,12,25) } I am sure there is superfluous code above since I only need an hour, minute, and second that I would like to pass to the countdown() function. The year, month and day is unimportant but as I said this is code I am trying to edit which I found on the internet. Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you!

  • In Ruby, how does one get their IP octet without going through DNS?

    - by user30997
I can, on some of my systems, get my IP address (192.68.m.n format) by doing this: addr = IPSocket::getAddress(Socket.gethostname()) ...the trouble is that this only works if the name the local machine uses for itself is the name the DNS server associates with it. How *&#( hard can it be for ruby to just return its primary interface's IP address? I have to do this in a platform-independant way or I'd just call ifconfig or ipconfig and parse it.

  • Query a stored procedure for it's parameter names and types

    - by ho1
Is there any easy way to query a stored procedure (Oracle - PL/SQL) for what parameters it expects? I know that I can query USER_SOURCE to get the whole procedure but I'd then have to parse the whole procedure, and if the parameter is of type [table].[column]%TYPE I'd then have to query the table schema as well. Either using just sql or via ODP.Net.

  • Basic Google search using a shell script

    - by Lri
Something like this but using just basic shell scripting: #!/usr/bin/env python import urllib import json base = 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/services/search/web?v=1.0&' query = urllib.urlencode({'q' : "something"}) response = urllib.urlopen(base + query).read() data = json.loads(response) print data['responseData']['results'][0]['url'] Any more convenient alternatives to ajax.googleapis.com? If not, how should you encode the URL and parse JSON?
