    Hello! I'm trying to delete some files with unicode characters in them with batch script (it's a requirement). So I run cmd and execute: > chcp 65001 Effectively setting codepage to UTF-8. But when I run nothing happens, literally nothing: not even echo works from batch script in this case. Even saving script in OEM encoding does not help. So it seems that when I change codepage to UTF-8 in console, scripts just stop working. Does somebody know how to fix that?

  • Wrong label for a nodereference in Drupal content-type

    We have a content-type built using CCK. One of the fields is a node reference. The node picker is using a view to build the options. A few days ago, everything was working well. Today, it looks like all node reference fields using views to populate the selection options are displaying the wrong label. Every single label in the option is ``A'', but the actual node number is correct. The form actually works, just the labels are incorrect. We have tried just about every combination of edit/save, disable/enable, reboot, clear cache, clone the view, rebuild the view, new view, etc, but we still have a big list of As. If we create a brand new content type with a brand new node reference field, we get the problem. Through some backup/restore exercises, we have determined that the problem is actually in the database and not in the code. We can restore our last good backup, but we will lose a decent amount of work we have put into other parts of the database. We enabled mysql query logging, and the view is actually being called properly, but we cannot track down where the problem is creeping in after that (unraveling the CCK / Views / Drupal plumbing is a challenge). The install was build with latest stable versions as of April. The problems referred to in http://drupal.org/node/624422 is similar, but our code versions include the patches mentioned. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • iFrame in a Content Editor Web Part

    Hi - I'm creating a page with two web parts: one with a search UI and another that displays the results. I'm using Content Editor Web Parts for both, but no matter how hard I try I can't seem to display more than a fraction of the results page in the content editor web part with the iFrame. The width seems to set fine, but no matter how I set the height (I've tried in-line, using CSS and using Javascript/JQuery), I cannot change the height of what is displayed. If I make the height something ridiculous like 3000px, I can see the empty space below, but it still only shows a small amount of the resulting page at the top of this iframe section. I've observed the HTML and the iFrame takes up all the space it's supposed to, but only shows that small sliver of the actual page the iFrame is displaying. I've tried numerous approaches from numerous articles but have come up short (pun intended). Does anyone have any experience with this or have indication as to why it would display this way or what I have to do to make this iFrame fill up the entire web part space? Thanks in advance

  • Why "Content-Length: 0" in POST requests?

    A customer sometimes sends POST requests with Content-Length: 0 when submitting a form (10 to over 40 fields). We tested it with different browsers and from different locations but couldn't reproduce the error. The customer is using Internet Explorer 7 and a proxy. We asked them to let their system administrator see into the problem from their side. Running some tests without the proxy, etc.. In the meantime (half a year later and still no answer) I'm curious if somebody else knows of similar problems with a Content-Length: 0 request. Maybe from inside some Windows network with a special proxy for big companies. Is there a known problem with Internet Explorer 7? With a proxy system? The Windows network itself? Google only showed something in the context of NTLM (and such) authentication, but we aren't using this in the web application. Maybe it's in the way the proxy operates in the customer's network with Windows logins? (I'm no Windows expert. Just guessing.) I have no further information about the infrastructure.

  • Using input type="submit" to change content

    Okay, I'm pretty sure I'm missing something very obvious here, but I just couldn't find a proper solution so far. What I'm trying to do is simple: Have a user write something into a form, have him submit the form, and write that input into a textarea on the same page. My guess is that the textarea field is only changed for the duration of the execute() function. When I change input type="submit" to a <button> everything works as intended, but I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to do that.

Sounds simple right? Well, I can get the content to added, but when the form is submitted the span element is still empty? Why is the new data not submitted? What step am I missing? Please help.   • [PHP] Script looking for string in file breaks

    Hey guys. I'm running a script that looks for a specific term in a pdf file. Well, actually I'm reading the pdf file as a txt file and look for the term there. The script processes over 20k files. But, unexpectedly, the script breaks after it hits a file that is over 50mb long. It stops. What could the reason be?   • User submitted content filtering

    Hey all, Does anyone have any ideas on what could be used as a way to filter untrustworthy user submitted content? Take Yelp for instance, they would need to prevent competitors writing business reviews on their competitors. They would need to prevent business owners favourably reviewing their own business, or forcing friends/family to do so. They would need to prevent poor quality reviews from affecting a businesses rating and so on. I can't think what they might use to do this: Prevent multiple users from the same IP reviewing certain things Prevent business owners reviewing their own business (maybe even other businesses in the same categories as their own?) Somehow determine what a review is about and what the actual intentions behind it are Other than the first and second points, I can't think of any clever/easy way to filter potentially harmful reviews from being made available, other than a human doing it. Obviously for a site the size of Yelp this wouldn't be feasible, so what parameters could they take into consideration? Even with human intervention, how would anyone know it was the owners best buddy writing a fake review without knowing the people? I'm using this as an example in a larger study on the subject of filtering user content automatically. Does anyone have any ideas how these systems may work and what they take into consideration?   • Increase content size of UIWebView using Javascript

    Hi folks, I have a translucent toolbar over the bottom of my UIWebView. The trouble is, if there is a link at the bottom of the page, I can't press it because the webview will always bounce back down to the bottom. I don't want to shrink the webview and use a solid colour toolbar, and UIWebViews interface doesn't open much up. What I would like to do, ideally, is to actually increase the size of the web page by one toolbar height, so that I can scroll that extra bit and have all the content above the toolbar, but when scrolling down I will be able to see the page content through the toolbar. I could use the stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString: function of UIWebView. I'm very rusty on JavaScript- is it possible for me to do this? Increase the window height or something? I tried: [webView stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString: [NSString stringWithFormat:@"window.resizeBy(0,%d);", TOOLBAR_HEIGHT] ]; but it didn't do anything. Any pointers welcome. Thanks.

    Hello im trying to get the hang of using bb codes onto my normal php site ( not forum or anything just a normal site ) I have seen a few posts like this one http://www.pixel2life.com/forums/index.php?/topic/10659-php-bbcode-parser/ which says i need a bb parser. I was just wondering can anyone show me how i would use one ? I have a status box were users can update there status but i would like to allow bb codes but not java script. So when im doing my inserting into the db i strip the status like so.. $status= mysql_real_escape_string($_POST['status']); $status2= strip_tags($status); And that stops the java script and tags from getting though but i need the bb code tags to come though but carry on blocking the java script code is there anyway to do this ? Also then i just echo it out echo $status2 ; But just plain text shows so was just wondering if anyone knows how to let though bb code and stop java script and could some one show me how to use the bb parasher ? also need to know how to echo out the bb coding...

  • Cross domain iframe content load detection

    I have a rather interesting problem. I have a parent page that will create a modal jquery dialog with an iframe contained within the dialog. The iframe will be populated with content from a 3rd party domain. My issue is that I need to create some dialog level javascript that can detect if the content of the iframe loaded successfully and if it hasn't within a 5 second time frame, then to close the dialog and return the user to the parent page. I have researched numerous solutions and only two are of any true value. Get the remote site to include a javascript line of document.domain = 'our-domain.com'. Use a URL Fragment hack, but again I would need the request that the remote site able to modify the URL by appending '#some_value' to the end of the URL and my dialog window would have to poll the URL until it either sees it or times out. Are these honestly the only options I have to work with? Is there not a simpler way to just detect this? I have been researching if there's a way to poll for http response errors, but this still remains confined to the same restrictions. Any help would be immensely appreciated. Thanks

    Background Created a script to count the frequency of words in a plain text file. The script performs the following steps: Count the frequency of words from a corpus. Retain each word in the corpus found in a dictionary. Create a comma-separated file of the frequencies. The script is at: http://pastebin.com/VAZdeKXs Problem The following lines continually cycle through the dictionary to match words: for i in $(awk '{if( $2 ) print $2}' frequency.txt); do grep -m 1 ^$i\$ dictionary.txt >> corpus-lexicon.txt; done It works, but it is slow because it is scanning the words it found to remove any that are not in the dictionary. The code performs this task by scanning the dictionary for every single word. (The -m 1 parameter stops the scan when the match is found.) Question How would you optimize the script so that the dictionary is not scanned from start to finish for every single word? The majority of the words will not be in the dictionary. Thank you!

I think this is a job for CURL but is there something simpler as I don't want to really worry about enabling the CURL php extension?   • Bash script to find a directory, list it's contents and sub-folders info

    Hi I want to write a script that will: 1- locate folder "store" on a *nix filesystem 2- move into that folder 3- print list of contents with last modification date 4- calculate sub-folders size This folder's absolute path changes from server to server, but the folder name remains the same always. There is a config file that contains the correct path to that folder though, but it doesn't give absolute bath to it. Sample Config: Account ON DIR-Store /hdd1 Scheduled YES ?According to the config file the absolute path would be "/hdd1/backup/store/" I need the script to grep the "/hdd1" or anything beyond the word "Config-Store", add "/backup/store/" to it, move into folder "store", print list of it's contents, and calculate sub-folders size. Until now I manually edit the script on each server to reflect the path to the "store" folder.   • How to stream authenticated content with MediaPlayer on Android

    I've seen quite a few posts askign this question on SO but there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer (or at least an answer I like!) I've got content protected behind basic auth (username/password) -- I can download it fine using the various HTTP download clases but for the life of me I can't sort out how to tell media player to stream it (and provide the authentication). I saw one post that suggested it wasn't possible since the MediaPlayer is all native code and doesn't things like the Authenticator. There are plenty of examples of how to first download to a cached copy and then play that back but....That sort of sucks (and the files maybe 100's of MB's). I saw at least one proposal to download it in smalish chunks and then start & stop the playback (redirecting to the new file) but that sort of sucks also since there would (I presume) be a stutter (I haven't tried it though) The best idea I have at this point is to start downloading to a cache file and then when it's 'full enough' start up playback while I continue to fill the file.... I hope that this works (but again, haven't tried it). Am I missing something obvious? It's so painful to have all the various pieces almost working and I sort of convinced myself that there had to be a way to natively stream protected content (or have it take a already established & qualified InputStream) but it appears no joy. BTW I'm a Mac/iPhone guy and a newb at Android so I'm still fighting a bit of Java learning.... Excuse me if I'm missing somthing obvious. -john

    I want to sanitize html tags from my wysiwyg. I want to replace certain tags with another. This almost works only the replaceWith() is also removing the content from within the tags. I dont want to do this. I just want to replace the tags. Here is what I have so far.
