  • eclipse xdebug session never completes

    - by Scott
    I am trying to get xdebug working with eclipse (3.5) / php (on xampp windows 7). I have verified xdebug is enabled in php - I have the fancy output and my phpinfo shows all the xdebug stuff. I have remote debug on, and typed in the lan ip address on my eclipse machine. When I tell eclipse to debug, it launches the browser and passes the debug URL parameters. That looks OK. However, in eclipse debug perspective it shows 'launching myproject' 57% 'waiting for xdebug session'. It sits there forever. I have turned off windows firewall on both machines. I tried turning implicit flush on. Any ideas?

    Hi, I have the following command: find Acc*\bin\Debug\*.pdb > temp.txt Looking in temp.txt, I have: Accounting/bin/Debug/Accounting.pdb Accounting/bin/Debug/BackendProcess.pdb NOTE the forward slashes. Why does it output file names like this? And how do I get it to output backslashes, so I can use del on those files? Thanks

  • C#.Net Calling a C++ DLL

    Hi I got a DLL(without the sourcecode) which exports like this: ?ReceiveCoreDataPtr@@YAXPAX@Z ?xenoAddRigidBodyAngularImpulse@@YAXHMMM@Z ?xenoAddRigidBodyForce@@YAXHMMM@Z ?xenoAddRigidBodyForce@@YAXHMMMMMM@Z ?xenoAddRigidBodyLinearImpulse@@YAXHMMM@Z ?xenoAddRigidBodyPointImpulse@@YAXHMMMMMM@Z ?xenoAddRigidBodyTorque@@YAXHMMM@Z ?xenoCharacterControllerCrouch@@YAXH@Z ?xenoCharacterControllerJump@@YAXH@Z ?xenoCharacterDisable@@YAXH@Z ?xenoCharacterEnable@@YAXH@Z ?xenoDeleteRigidBody@@YAXH@Z ?xenoEnd@@YAXXZ ?xenoGetCameraFOV@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetCameraPointX@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetCameraPointY@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetCameraPointZ@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetCameraPositionX@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetCameraPositionY@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetCameraPositionZ@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetCharacterControllerHeadPosition@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetCharacterControllerPositionX@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetCharacterControllerPositionY@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetCharacterControllerPositionZ@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetCharacterControllerRotation@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyAllowedPenetrationDepth@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyAngularDamping@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyAngularVelocityX@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyAngularVelocityY@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyAngularVelocityZ@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyFriction@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyGravityFactor@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyLinearDamping@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyLinearVelocityX@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyLinearVelocityY@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyLinearVelocityZ@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyMass@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyMaxAngularVelocity@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyMaxLinearVelocity@@YAKH@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyPointVelocityX@@YAKHMMM@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyPointVelocityY@@YAKHMMM@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyPointVelocityZ@@YAKHMMM@Z ?xenoGetRigidBodyRestitution@@YAKH@Z ?xenoIsRigidBodyALadder@@YAHH@Z ?xenoMakeCamera@@YAXHH@Z ?xenoMakeCharacterController@@YAXHMM@Z ?xenoMakeCharacterController@@YAXHMMM@Z ?xenoMakeCharacterController@@YAXHMMMM@Z ?xenoMakeCharacterController@@YAXHMMMMM@Z ?xenoMakeCharacterController@@YAXHMMMMMM@Z ?xenoMakeCharacterController@@YAXHMMMMMMM@Z ?xenoMakeRigidBodyDynamicBox@@YAXH@Z ?xenoMakeRigidBodyDynamicBox@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoMakeRigidBodyDynamicCapsule@@YAXH@Z ?xenoMakeRigidBodyDynamicCapsule@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoMakeRigidBodyDynamicCylinder@@YAXH@Z ?xenoMakeRigidBodyDynamicCylinder@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoMakeRigidBodyDynamicSphere@@YAXH@Z ?xenoMakeRigidBodyDynamicSphere@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoMakeRigidBodyStaticBox@@YAXH@Z ?xenoMakeRigidBodyStaticCapsule@@YAXH@Z ?xenoMakeRigidBodyStaticCylinder@@YAXH@Z ?xenoMakeRigidBodyStaticSphere@@YAXH@Z ?xenoMakeRigidBodyStaticTriangleMesh@@YAXH@Z ?xenoMakeVehicle@@YAXHH@Z ?xenoMoveCharacterControllerBackward@@YAXH@Z ?xenoMoveCharacterControllerForward@@YAXH@Z ?xenoMoveCharacterControllerLeft@@YAXH@Z ?xenoMoveCharacterControllerRight@@YAXH@Z ?xenoSetCharacterControllerPosition@@YAXHMMM@Z ?xenoSetCharacterControllerRotation@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoSetGravity@@YAXM@Z ?xenoSetGravity@@YAXMMM@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyAllowedPenetrationDepth@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyAngularDamping@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyAngularVelocity@@YAXHMMM@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyAsLadder@@YAXHH@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyFriction@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyGravityFactor@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyLinearDamping@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyLinearVelocity@@YAXHMMM@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyMass@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyMaxAngularVelocity@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyMaxLinearVelocity@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyPosition@@YAXHMMM@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyRestitution@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoSetRigidBodyRotation@@YAXHMMM@Z ?xenoSetTimeStep@@YAXM@Z ?xenoStart@@YAXH@Z ?xenoStart@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoStart@@YAXHMH@Z ?xenoStart@@YAXXZ ?xenoUpdate@@YAXXZ ?xenoVehicleAccelerate@@YAXHM@Z ?xenoVehicleHandbrake@@YAXH@Z ?xenoVehicleReverse@@YAXH@Z ?xenoVehicleTurn@@YAXHM@Z When I try to use it in another C++ App like this #include <windows.h> class XenoPhysics { private: typedef void (*FunctionFunc)(void); To call the functions I'm doing XenoPhysics * d = new XenoPhysics(); d->LoadLib(); d->xStart(); It then throws the following error at me(Note that it passes the LoadLib() without any errors) Unhandled exception at 0x50261bc9 in Xeno Test.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000064. And yes; I've checked that the "curFunc" gets the address, not just a NULL pointer(atleast I think I've checked that).. Anyone who can help out? Edit: Forgot the C#.Net code, how stupid of me :3 Here is the C++ CLR DLL "wrapper" I tried to make: #include <windows.h> // The following ifdef block is the standard way of creating macros which make exporting // from a DLL simpler.   • How do I handle calls to AudioTrack from jni without crashing?

    - by icecream
    I was trying to write to an AudioTrack from a jni callback, and I get a signal 7 (SIGBUS), fault addr 00000000. I have looked at the Wolf3D example for odroid and they seem to use a android.os.Handler to post a Runnable that will do an update in the correct thread context. I have also tried AttachCurrentThread, but I fail in this case also. It works to play the sound when running from the constructor even if I wrap it in a thread and then post it to the handler. When I do the "same" via a callback from jni it fails. I assume I am braeaking some rules, but I haven't been able to figure out what they are. So far, I haven't found the answer here on SO. So I wonder if anyone knows how this should be done. EDIT: Answered below. The following code is to illustrate the problem. Java: package com.example.jniaudiotrack; import android.app.Activity; import android.media.AudioFormat; import android.media.AudioManager; import android.media.AudioTrack; import android.os.Bundle; import android.os.Handler; import android.util.Log; public class JniAudioTrackActivity extends Activity { AudioTrack mAudioTrack; byte[] mArr; public static final Handler mHandler = new Handler(); /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); mArr = new byte[2048]; for (int i = 0; i < 2048; i++) { mArr[i] = (byte) (Math.sin(i) * 128); } mAudioTrack = new AudioTrack(AudioManager.STREAM_MUSIC, 11025, AudioFormat.CHANNEL_CONFIGURATION_MONO, AudioFormat.ENCODING_PCM_8BIT, 2048, AudioTrack.MODE_STREAM); mAudioTrack.play(); new Thread(new Runnable() { public void run() { mHandler.post(new Runnable() { public void run() { mAudioTrack.write(mArr, 0, 2048); Log.i(TAG, "*** Handler from constructor ***"); } }); } }).start(); new Thread(new Runnable() { public void run() { audioFunc(); } }).start(); } public native void audioFunc(); @SuppressWarnings("unused") private void audioCB() { mHandler.post(new Runnable() { public void run() { mAudioTrack.write(mArr, 0, 2048); Log.i(TAG, "*** audioCB called ***"); } }); } private static final String TAG = "JniAudioTrackActivity"; static { System.loadLibrary("jni_audiotrack"); } } cpp: #include <jni.h> extern "C" { JNIEXPORT void Java_com_example_jniaudiotrack_JniAudioTrackActivity_audioFunc(JNIEnv* env, jobject obj); } JNIEXPORT void Java_com_example_jniaudiotrack_JniAudioTrackActivity_audioFunc(JNIEnv* env, jobject obj) { JNIEnv* jniEnv; JavaVM* vm; env->GetJavaVM(&vm); vm->AttachCurrentThread(&jniEnv, 0); jclass cls = env->GetObjectClass(obj); jmethodID audioCBID = env->GetMethodID(cls, "audioCB", "()V"); if (!audioCBID) { return; } env->CallVoidMethod(cls, audioCBID); } Trace snippet: I/DEBUG ( 1653): pid: 9811, tid: 9811 >>> com.example.jniaudiotrack <<< I/DEBUG ( 1653): signal 7 (SIGBUS), fault addr 00000000 I/DEBUG ( 1653): r0 00000800 r1 00000026 r2 00000001 r3 00000000 I/DEBUG ( 1653): r4 42385726 r5 41049e54 r6 bee25570 r7 ad00e540 I/DEBUG ( 1653): r8 000040f8 r9 41048200 10 41049e44 fp 00000000 I/DEBUG ( 1653): ip 000000f8 sp bee25530 lr ad02dbb5 pc ad012358 cpsr 20000010 I/DEBUG ( 1653): #00 pc 00012358 /system/lib/libdvm.so

  • .apk signing fails even with Sun JDK (java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.android.jarutils.DebugKeyP

    - by ianweller
    I'm having an interesting problem signing my Android application, whether or not I'm using a debug key. Regardless of the JDK I have installed to /usr/bin/{java,keytool,jarsigner} (OpenJDK or Sun's JDK) it will always give the following output after compiling successfully: -package-debug-sign: [apkbuilder] Creating RemoteNotify-debug-unaligned.apk and signing it with a debug key... BUILD FAILED /home/ianweller/AndroidSDK/platforms/android-7/templates/android_rules.xml:281: The following error occurred while executing this line: /home/ianweller/AndroidSDK/platforms/android-7/templates/android_rules.xml:152: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.android.jarutils.DebugKeyProvider The application was built and signed just fine by Eclipse with the ADT plugin (even without Sun's JDK installed). I'm on Fedora 12. I'm wanting to get my code out of Eclipse and move it into a git repository, but being unable to build it from ant will not allow this to happen.

  • System.Net.Dns.GetHostAddresses("")

    - by dbasnett
    Yesterday s**ked, and today ain't (sic) looking better. I have an application I have been working on and it can be slow to start when my ISP is down because of DNS. My ISP was down for 3 hours yesterday, so I didn't think much about this piece of code I had added, until I found that it is always slow to start. This code is supposed to return your IP address and my reading of the link suggests that should be immediate, but it isn't, at least on my machine. Oh, and yesterday before the internet went down, I upgraded (oymoron) to XP SP3, and have had other problems. So my questions / request: 1. Am I doing this right? 2. If you run this on your machine does it take 39 seconds to return your IP address? It does on mine. One other note, I did a packet capture and the first request did NOT go on the wire, but the second did, and was answered quickly. So the question is what happened in XP SP3 that I am missing, besides a brain. One last note. If I resolve a FQDN all is well. Public Class Form1 'http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.net.dns.gethostaddresses.aspx ' 'excerpt 'The GetHostAddresses method queries a DNS server 'for the IP addresses associated with a host name. • TextField - behave like PowerPoint

    - by user310113
    I have a Dynamic TextField created with ActionScript (multiline, wordwrap & autosize=true). While running the SWF, if you click into the TextField you get an arrow "move" cursor, then you can double-click to put it into Edit mode to select text. I want it to work like PowerPoint - if you click into the box you'll always get a flashing cursor with the ability to select/insert text, and you can click on the borders to drag, or the corners to resize. I tried adding the focusIn event textField.stage.focus = this.textField but this didn't seem to do anything. When you click into the textField, I basically want it to act as though you followed with a double-click (Edit mode) without actually having to do the double-click. Bonus: and instead of a 2nd double-click returning you to the Move mode (or whatever it's called) I want to select all text. TL;DR: Is there some property of a Dynamic TextField that I can get/set to see if I'm in Edit or Move mode?

  • Conditional ESC, ideas?

    - by Tony
    I often need to enter insert mode just to make changes on a specific line, and would like know if there is a way to enter insert mode in a way that when I am done editing on that line, hitting [Return] gets me back to normal mode. I am aware of the 'r' command for replacing a single character, I guess what I want is something like that but for a line.

  • Using GDataXMLDocument in iPad app

    - by INs
    I'm trying to use GDataXML library in my ipad application. I followed by instructions: Download the gdata-objective-c client library. Unzip the file, navigate to Source\XMLSupport, and drag the two files GDataXMLNode.h and GDataXMLNode.m into your project In XCode, click Project\Edit Project Settings and make sure “All Configurations” are checked. Find the Search Paths\Header Search Paths setting and add /usr/include/libxml2 to the list. Finally, find the Linking\Other Linker Flags section and add -lxml2 to the list. If in code i add #import "GDataXMLNode.h", all is fine. But when i try to use GDataXMLDocument class in my app GDataXMLDocument *doc = [[GDataXMLDocument alloc] initWithData:xmlData options:0 error:nil]; I received the following message: Ld build/Debug-iphonesimulator/DemoApp.app/DemoApp normal i386 cd /Users/svp/Projects/DemoApp setenv MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET 10.6 setenv PATH "/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin:/Developer/usr/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin" /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/gcc-4.2 -arch i386 -isysroot /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator4.2.sdk -L/Users/svp/Projects/DemoApp/build/Debug-iphonesimulator -F/Users/svp/Projects/DemoApp/build/Debug-iphonesimulator -filelist /Users/svp/Projects/DemoApp/build/DemoApp.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/DemoApp.build/Objects-normal/i386/DemoApp.LinkFileList -mmacosx-version-min=10.6 -Xlinker -objc_abi_version -Xlinker 2 -framework Foundation -framework UIKit -framework CoreGraphics -framework MapKit -framework QuartzCore -lxml2.2 -o /Users/svp/Projects/DemoApp/build/Debug-iphonesimulator/DemoApp.app/DemoApp Undefined symbols: "_OBJC_CLASS_$_GDataXMLDocument", referenced from: objc-class-ref-to-GDataXMLDocument in TwitterService.o ld: symbol(s) not found collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Any thoughts?

  • UINavigationBar unresponsive after canceling a UITableView search in nav controller in tab bar in a popover

    - by Mark
    Ok, this is an odd one and I can reproduce it with a new project easily. Here is the setup: I have a UISplitViewController. In the left side I have a UITabBarController. In this tab bar controller I have two UINavigationControllers. In the navigation controllers I have UITableViewControllers. These table views have search bars on them. Ok, what happens with this setup is that if I'm in portrait mode and bring up this view in the popover and I start a search in one of the table views and cancel it, the navigation bar becomes unresponsive. That is, the "back" button as well as the right side button cannot be clicked. If I do the exact same thing in landscape mode so we are not in a popover, this doesn't happen. The navigation bar stays responsive. So, the problem only seems to happen inside a popover. I've also noticed that if I do the search but click on an item in the search results which ends up loading something into the "detail view" of the split view and dismissing the popover, and then come back to the popover and then click the Cancel button for the search, the navigation bar is responsive. My application is a universal app and uses the same tab bar controller in the iPhone interface and it works there without this issue. As I mentioned above, I can easily reproduce this with a new project. Here are the steps if you want to try it out yourself: start new project - split view create new UITableViewController class (i named TableViewController) uncomment out the viewDidLoad method as well as the rightBarButtonItem line in viewDidLoad (so we will have an Edit button in the navigation bar) enter any values you want to return from numberOfSectioinsInTableView and numberOfRowsInSection methods open MainWindow.xib and do the following: please note that you will need to be viewing the xib in the middle "view mode" so you can expand the contents of the items drag a Tab Bar Controller into the xib to replace the Navigation Controller item drag a Navigation Controller into the xib as another item under the Tab Bar Controller delete the other two view controllers that are under the Tab Bar Controller (so, now our tab bar has just the one navigation controller on it) inside the navigation controller, drag in a Table View Controller and use it to replace the View Controller (Root View Controller) change the class of the new Table View Controller to the class created above (TableViewController for me) double-click on the Table View under the new Table View Controller to open it up (will be displayed in the tab bar inside the split view controller) drag a "Search Bar and Search Display" onto the table view save the xib run the project in simulator while in portrait mode, click on the Root List button to bring up popover notice the Edit button is clickable click in the Search box - we go into search mode click the Cancel button to exit search mode notice the Edit button no longer works So, can anyone help me figure out why this is happening? Thanks, Mark

  • Changing Emacs Forward-Word Behaviour

    - by gvkv
    As the title says, how does one change the behaviour of emacs forward-word function? For example, suppose [] is the cursor. Then: my $abs_target_path[]= abs_path($target); <M-f> my $abs_target_path = abs[_]path($target); I know I could just use M-f M-b but as far as I'm concerned, that shouldn't be necessary and I'd like to change it. In particular, I want two things: When I press M-f, I want to go to the first character of the next word regardless of whether the point is within a word, within a group of spaces or somewhere else. Customize word-characters on a mode-by-mode basis. After all, moving around in CPerl mode is different than, say, TeX mode. So, in the above example, item 1 would have the cursor would move to the 'a' (and the point to it's left) after hitting M-f. Item 2 would allow me to define underscores and sigils as word characters.

  • Monitor file selection in explorer (like clipboard monitoring) in C#

    - by Christian
    Hi, I am trying to create a little helper application, one scenario is "file duplication finder". What I want to do is this: I start my C# .NET app, it gives me an empty list. Start the normal windows explorer, select a file in some folder The C# app tells me stuff about this file (e.g. duplicates) How can I monitor the currently selected file in the "normal" windows explorer instance. Do I have to start the instance using .NET to have a handle of the process. Do I need a handle, or is there some "global hook" I can monitor inside C#. Its a little bit like monitoring the clipboard, but not exactly the same... Any help is appreciated (if you don't have code, just point me to the right interops, dlls or help pages :-) Thanks, Chris EDIT 1 (current source, thanks to Mattias) using SHDocVw; using Shell32; public static void ListExplorerWindows() { foreach (InternetExplorer ie in new ShellWindowsClass()) DebugExplorerInstance(ie); } public static void DebugExplorerInstance(InternetExplorer instance) { Debug.WriteLine("DebugExplorerInstance ".PadRight(30, '=')); Debug.WriteLine("FullName " + instance.FullName); Debug.WriteLine("AdressBar " + instance.AddressBar); var doc = instance.Document as IShellFolderViewDual ; if (doc != null) { Debug.WriteLine(doc.Folder.Title); foreach (FolderItem item in doc.SelectedItems()) { Debug.WriteLine(item.Path); } } }

  • Is there a config option in PHP to prevent undefined constants from being interpreted as strings?

    - by mrbinky3000
    This is from the php manual: http://us.php.net/manual/en/language.constants.syntax.php If you use an undefined constant, PHP assumes that you mean the name of the constant itself, just as if you called it as a string (CONSTANT vs "CONSTANT"). An error of level E_NOTICE will be issued when this happens. I really don't like this behavior. If I have failed to define a required constant, I would rather the script fail so that I am forced define it. Is there any way to force PHP to crash the script if it tries to use an undefined constant? For example. Both of these scripts do the same thing. <?php define('DEBUG',1); if (DEBUG) echo('Yo!'); ?> and <?php if(DEBUG) echo('Yo!'); ?> I would rather the second script DIE and declare that it tried to use an undefined constant DEBUG.

  • javascript scope problem when lambda function refers to a variable in enclosing loop

    - by Stefan Blixt
    First question on stackoverflow :) Hope I won't embarrass myself... I have a javascript function that loads a list of albums and then it creates a list item for each album. The list item should be clickable, so I call jQuery's click() with a function that does stuff. I do this in a loop. My problem is that all items seem to get the same click function, even though I try to make a new one that does different stuff in each iteration. Another possibility is that the iteration variable is global somehow, and the function refers to it. Code below. debug() is just an encapsulation of Firebug's console.debug(). function processAlbumList(data, c) { for (var album in data) { var newAlbum = $('<li class="albumLoader">' + data[album].title + '</li>').clone(); var clickAlbum = function() { debug("contents: " + album); }; debug("Album: " + album + "/" + data[album].title); $('.albumlist').append(newAlbum); $(newAlbum).click(clickAlbum); } } Here is a transcript of what it prints when the above function runs, after that are some debug lines caused by me clicking on different items. It always prints "10", which is the last value that the album variable takes (there are 10 albums). Album: 0/Live on radio.electro-music.com Album: 1/Doodles Album: 2/Misc Stuff Album: 3/Drawer Collection Album: 4/Misc Electronic Stuff Album: 5/Odds & Ends Album: 6/Tumbler Album: 7/Bakelit 32 Album: 8/Film Album: 9/Bakelit Album: 10/Slow Zoom/Atomic Heart contents: 10 contents: 10 contents: 10 contents: 10 contents: 10 Any ideas? Driving me up the wall, this is. :) /Stefan

  • Using accelerometer to detect iPad lock switch trigger?

    - by DevDevDev
    So for complicated reasons I am managing view rotations myself, and am only implementing UIDeviceOrientationPortrait as the autorotating orientation. Anyway, when one clicks the screen lock on the iPad, the device will rotate to UIDeviceOrientationPortrait, which will cause my code to rotate, which I do not want to happen. For instance of the user is holding the device in "landscape mode", i.e. I have already manually rotated the UI to landscape mode, and he/she clicks the screen lock, it will rotate the UI to portrait mode, even though the user did not move the device at all. So somehow I need a way to differentiate between rotations to portrait mode occuring from the screen lock, and those occuring from device rotation. As such, I would like somehow to use the accelerometer to detect whether or not the device was actually 'rotated' or whether the button was clicked. Thanks!

  • UISplitViewController Cannot Change the Master View Controller?

    - by Nex
    I am trying to change the master view controller (that appears in the popover in portrait, and on the left side in landscape) in a UISplitViewController. I'd like to switch between the master view controller being one of two different UIViewControllers (depending on an action taken elsewhere in my application). I am using the following: mySplitViewController.viewControllers = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:newMasterController, detailController, nil]; This correctly changes the master viewcontroller as you would expect in landscape mode. However it does not seem to change the viewcontroller used for the popover in portrait mode. I notice that the barbuttonitem to show this master view controller is just calling showMasterInPopover: on the splitviewcontroller, and so would expect it to work in portrait mode as well, but it does not. In fact, I can set the master view controller, see the new viewController correctly in landscape mode, rotate back to portrait, and the viewcontroller used in the popover is still the old one. Is this a bug?

  • Debugging T4 Template in VS 2010 Crashes IDE

    - by Eric J.
    I'm trying to debug a slightly-modified version of the ADO.NET POCO Entity Generator template using the directions Oleg Sych published a few years back. I modified the DbgJITDebugLaunchSetting key as recommended. I get a dialog indicating that a user-defined breakpoint has been hit. However, rather than being presented with the option to start a new instance of VS 2010 to debug, the original instance of VS 2010 just crashes and auto-restarts. Is it possible to debug T4 templates with VS 2010?

  • How do I forward `<Ctrl>-<Tab>` in Konsole?

    - by M. Tibbits
    I want to use intelligent tabbing in Emacs in C++ mode, but I also want to be able to insert a tab character when necessary. From other posts, I gather that the easiest way is to bind <Ctrl>-<Tab> to indent. However, it appears that Konsole in KUbuntu won't forward the <Ctrl>? My current .emacs file contains: (defun my-c-mode-common-hook () (setq c++-tab-always-indent t) (setq tab-width 4) (setq indent-tabs-mode t) ) (add-hook 'c-mode-common-hook 'my-c-mode-common-hook) (global-set-key [C-tab] 'self-insert-command) So I believe that this will bind <Ctrl>-<Tab> to inserting a tab character. However, when I run: <Ctrl>-h k <Ctrl>-<Tab> Emacs only reports that I pressed the tab key. Is there some option to Konsole (which I have searched through to no avail) or global preferences in KUbuntu that I need to set so that the <Ctrl>- is also forwarded? (It certainly forwards all of the other <Ctrl>-blah commands.)

  • Multiple projects with multiple (different) build configuration in one solution

    - by KTC
    What is the correct and easy step by step way to have multiple build configurations in the same VS project, where the Solution also contain multiple projects? The projects would have different build configurations. Basically, I'm looking for something like project A with Dll Debug, Dll Release, Static (library) Debug, and Static (library) Release, project B with Debug & Release that build a .exe.

  • msvcrt: memory usage goes wild, but not under debugger

    - by al_miro
    I have a C++ code compiled with Intel compiler, 32bit, in MS VC6 mode, so using either msvcrt.dll or msvcrtd.dll. The process makes heavy memory allocation and deallocation. I monitor the memory usage with WMI and look at VirtualSize and WorkingSetSize. with debug runtime (msvcrtd.dll): virtual constant 1.7GB, working constant 1.2GB with non-debug runtime (msvcrt.dll): virtual raising 1.7-- 2.1GB, working raising 1.2-1.4GB with non-debug runtime but under debugger (windbg): virtual constant 1.7GB, working constant At 2.1 GB virtual the process is crashing (as expected). But why would the virtual usage increase only with (non-debug) msvcrt.dll and only if not under debugger? In all cases compilation flags are identical, only runtime libs are different.

  • Retrieving text from password field [python][pyqt4]

    - by Dr. Johnson
    def welcomeStage (self): self.test = QtGui.QLineEdit (self) self.test.move (50, 150) QtCore.QObject.connect (self.test, QtCore.SIGNAL ('returnPressed()'), self.passwordStage) def passwordStage (self): self.email = self.test.text() self.test.clear() self.test.setEchoMode (QtGui.QLineEdit.Password) QtCore.QObject.connect (self.test, QtCore.SIGNAL ('returnPressed()'), self.loginStage) def loginStage (self): self.pwd = self.test.text() print self.pwd if len (self.pwd) < 0: welcomeStage () return Simply put, I am making a login form. The user enters their email, then the text field is cleared and echo mode is set to Password mode. The text() function returns the email fine, but when I call text() after I have changed the echo mode, it returns 0. I've been pouring over the documentation looking for anything regarding the text() function and how it operates when Password mode is on, however I have not found anything. Does anybody know how this is done?
