  • Obj-C : Passing parameters back from a detailViewController in a navigation controller

    Hi I am using a navigation Controller on an iPhone app. I am able to pass data forward when I push a controller into the navigation stack but how do I pass data back when I pop the controller. What I am basically trying to achieve is the root navigation controller view displays a number of fields that can be edited. A user then clicks on one of the fields to be edited and a EditViewController is pushed onto the stack with the name of the field the user wants to edit. Now the users enters the new value of the field and presses save to pop the view controller. So how do I get the value from the editViewController back to the root navigation controller view?

  • Properly changing Ajax MultiHandle Slider parameters on postbacks

    Hi all, In VS2010 I have VB.NET codebehind aspx pages and I'm using Ajax multihandleslider extensions to filter search results on numerical values. Fistly, the multihandle sliders don't display in the designer... I have to remove the slider targets tag: In order to make it display in the designer... this isn't so much a big issue but an annoyance. I am displaying items in a given category. So I get the max and min prices for all items in that category and assign the sliderextension max/min values appropriately. This works fine until... I change the item category and go get a new max/min value for the slider control. I set the max/min values, then I set the target textbox values each to the corresponding max/min values. The slider handles don't repaint (or init?) properly Like say for example my initial min/max is 1/100 if I do a full postback and change the max value to 1000 then the slider bar (correctly) stays the same size but the handle appears WAYYYY to the right off the page and I have to scroll to it. When I click it, it shoots back onto the slider bar. I'm pulling my hair out... why do the slider handles only appear properly when I first set the min/max values?

    Hi. I have a bunch of names in alphabetical order with multiple instances of the same name all in alphabetical order so that the names are all grouped together. Beside each name, after a coma, I have a role that has been assigned to them, one name-role pair per line, something like whats shown below name1,role1 name1,role2 name1,role3 name1,role8 name2,role8 name2,role2 name2,role4 name3,role1 name4,role5 name4,role1 ... .. . I am looking for an algorithm to take the above .csv file as input create an output .csv file in the following format name1,role1,role2,role3,role8 name2,role8,role2,role4 name3,role1 name4,role5,role1 ... .. . So basically I want each name to appear only once and then the roles to be printed in csv format next to the names for all names and roles in the input file. The algorithm should be language independent. I would appreciate it if it does NOT use OOP principles :-) I am a newbie.

  • Mysqli query only works on localhost, not webserver

    Hello. I have changed some of my old queries to the Mysqli framework to improve performance. Everything works fine on localhost but when i upload it to the webserver it outputs nothing. After connecting I check for errors and there are none. I also checked the php modules installed and mysqli is enabled. I am certain that it creates a connection to the database as no errors are displayed. Checked the error logs and there is nothing so everything points to a good connection. All the tables exists as well etc. Anyone any ideas because this one has me stuck!     Hello, maybe it's not so proper to ask this question here... anyway, I'm trying to use the gmp library for the implementation of DH, but the problem here I got is: Once, when I was doing the tests to observe the output, although big values of prime and the private keys were selected: p was about more than 300 digits long in decimal a, b were about 100 digits long finally I got a shared secret key which was extremely small, perhaps smaller than 10^8 in decimal... This problem didn't show up many times, in fact, during all the observation, it appeared just once...but still, this was not so good at all. So I wonder if there are some methods which can avoid this... Thanx a lot

    I need a function, but cannot seem to get it quite right, I have looked at examples here and elsewhere and cannot seem to get this just right, I need an optional item to be included in my query, I have this query (which works): SELECT TOP 100 PERCENT SKU, Description, LEN(CONVERT(VARCHAR (1000),Description)) AS LenDesc FROM tblItem WHERE Title = @Title AND Manufacturer = @Manufacturer ORDER BY LenDesc DESC This works within a Function, however the Manufacturer is Optional for this search - which is to find the description of a similar item, if none is present, the other query is: SELECT TOP 100 PERCENT SKU, Description, LEN(CONVERT(VARCHAR (1000),Description)) AS LenDesc FROM tblItem WHERE Title = @Title ORDER BY LenDesc DESC Which is missing the Manufacturer, how to I get my function to use either query based on the Manufacturer Value being present or not. The reason is I will have a function which first checks an SKU for a Description, if it is not present - it uses this method to get a Description from a Similar Product, then updates the product being added with the similar product's description.     I have a Django Form that looks like this: class ServiceForm(forms.Form): option = forms.ModelChoiceField(queryset=ServiceOption.objects.none()) rate = forms.DecimalField(widget=custom_widgets.SmallField()) units = forms.IntegerField(min_value=1, widget=custom_widgets.SmallField()) def __init__(self, *args, **kwargs): affiliate = kwargs.pop('affiliate') super(ServiceForm, self).__init__(*args, **kwargs) self.fields["option"].queryset = ServiceOption.objects.filter(affiliate=affiliate) I call this form with something like this: form = ServiceForm(affiliate=request.affiliate) Where request.affiliate is the logged in user. This works as intended. My problem is that I now want to turn this single form into a formset. What I can't figure out is how I can pass the affiliate information to the individual forms when creating the formset. According to the docs to make a formset out of this I need to do something like this: ServiceFormSet = forms.formsets.formset_factory(ServiceForm, extra=3) And then I need to create it like this: formset = ServiceFormSet() Now how can I pass affiliate=request.affiliate to the individual forms this way?
