  • Exchange and external mail server

    - by Bahrain Admin
Hi, We have our domain hosted externally with Network Solutions, and our mail server is running from there. We have a branch office in Bahrain and have 3 users who would like to use their email addresses on a local exchange server running at the Bahrain office. The Exchange server is currently only used for internal mail, contacts and calendaring. I've used a third=party program to download the POP3 mail to their exchange accounts. so they can receive mail from outside. The issue is in sending mail using their external addresses. I've setup their exchange accounts to include their external address. But we get an error message stating that the IP is not authorized. I tried putting the local ISP as the smart host, but then we get an error message stating that the Address was rejected. I tried using our own external mail server as the smart host, but then the message "Relaying is denied" comes up. Any suggestions? Thanks Arun

  • "Disk boot failure" error after installing Windows 7 on SSD

    - by Tony_Henrich
I have a system with 3 SATA drives which runs fine. Got a new SSD drive and wanted to install a fresh Windows-7 on it. So I removed the boot drive and replaced it with the SSD drive. Installed Windows and when it was done, rebooted and now I get "Disk boot failure. Insert system disk and press enter" error message. I reinstall again and still same message. Removed the SSD and put back the original drive and I got the same message!! I checked the BIOS and things look good. Something is wrong. Two questions: 1- Why isn't the new Windows booting from the SSD? 2- Why isn't the machine booting using the previous working configuration anymore, after removing the SSD? I did connect it during the second Windows installation but it was the last drive in the SATA connector. Would Windows installer mess with its MBR sector?

  • How to optimize process of outlook files (*msg) conversion to .pdf?

    - by Lilly
The aim is to convert several messages from Microsoft Outlook (2003 and/or 2007 versions) to .pdf files. Condition: One message should generate a corresponding single pdf file. If possible, pdf file should be named with date format YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. 2011-02-16.pdf). The current process, limited by softwares such as CutePDF, requires the conversion performed one message at a time. I'm looking for a solution that allows the conversion of several messages at once, but under the condition abovementioned (mainly: one message = one pdf file).

  • CNAME lookup failed temporarily. (#4.4.3)

    - by klickverbot
A friend of mine just told me that he can't send mails to accounts on one of my servers via the SMTP server provided by his ISP. The error message in the bounce he gets reads: Hi. This is the qmail-send program at aon.at. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out. <[email protected]>: CNAME lookup failed temporarily. (#4.4.3) I'm not going to try again; this message has been in the queue too long. Any ideas what could be the reason for this? I have double-checked the DNS records for my domain, but they seem perfectly fine, and from any other mail servers I tested, delivery works flawlessly…

  • Can't delete folder in Windows 7

    - by user18526
I'm trying to delete a folder in Windows 7 and get a perplexing error message: "Could not find this item: This is no longer located in G:\Graphics. Verify the item's location and try again. I can see the folder -- I can find it. I just can't delete it. I also get a second error message (sometimes) when I click on the folder: G:\Graphics 2009-11-17 refers to a location that is unavailable...this information might have been moved to a different location. I'm using Windows 7; this folder is on an external hard drive. I've emptied the folder (there were items in it); I've scanned that external hard drive for errors. Trying to rename the folder yields the same enigmatic error message. Is there a way to delete this folder?

  • Where are incoming messages queued/stored when sendmail is communicating with a milter?

    - by Mike B
CentOS 5.x | SendMail I'd like to better understand how milter hand-offs work. We a remote MTA initiates an SMTP session, my understanding is that Sendmail hands the message data off to the milter during that session. Where/how is this message data stored? Is this all done in memory? Or is there a "queue" area where message data for milter is stored for pickup by the milter? If it helps, let's say I'm calling a milter like this: INPUT_MAIL_FILTER(`foo', `S=unix:/var/lib/foo/foo.sock, F=T, T=C:5m;S:3m;R:5m;E:5m')dnl

  • Is there a single book that covers the breadth of computer science fundamentals? [closed]

    - by superFoo
When I did my undergraduate studies in elecrical engineering, there was this book called "Basic Electricity" by Van Valkenburgh. If you read that book cover to cover, your fundamentals in electrical engineering would be bulletproof. I would recommend it all my juniors and I absolutely loved it. Is there such a book in the field of computer science? I am not so concerned about the algorithms. I am looking more into something that tells me how does everything work beneath the covers. TCPIP, memory management, DNS, routing, SSL, buffer, queuing etc.

  • FOSUserBundle override mapping to remove need for username

    - by musoNic80
    I want to remove the need for a username in the FOSUserBundle. My users will login using an email address only and I've added real name fields as part of the user entity. I realised that I needed to redo the entire mapping as described here. I think I've done it correctly but when I try to submit the registration form I get the error: "Only field names mapped by Doctrine can be validated for uniqueness." The strange thing is that I haven't tried to assert a unique constraint to anything in the user entity. Here is my full user entity file: <?php // src/MyApp/UserBundle/Entity/User.php namespace MyApp\UserBundle\Entity; use FOS\UserBundle\Model\User as BaseUser; use Doctrine\ORM\Mapping as ORM; use Symfony\Component\Validator\Constraints as Assert; /** * @ORM\Entity * @ORM\Table(name="depbook_user") */ class User extends BaseUser { /** * @ORM\Id * @ORM\Column(type="integer") * @ORM\GeneratedValue(strategy="AUTO") */ protected $id; /** * @ORM\Column(type="string", length=255) * * @Assert\NotBlank(message="Please enter your first name.", groups={"Registration", "Profile"}) * @Assert\MaxLength(limit="255", message="The name is too long.", groups={"Registration", "Profile"}) */ protected $firstName; /** * @ORM\Column(type="string", length=255) * * @Assert\NotBlank(message="Please enter your last name.", groups={"Registration", "Profile"}) * @Assert\MaxLength(limit="255", message="The name is too long.", groups={"Registration", "Profile"}) */ protected $lastName; /** * @ORM\Column(type="string", length=255) * * @Assert\NotBlank(message="Please enter your email address.", groups={"Registration", "Profile"}) * @Assert\MaxLength(limit="255", message="The name is too long.", groups={"Registration", "Profile"}) * @Assert\Email(groups={"Registration"}) */ protected $email; /** * @ORM\Column(type="string", length=255, name="email_canonical", unique=true) */ protected $emailCanonical; /** * @ORM\Column(type="boolean") */ protected $enabled; /** * @ORM\Column(type="string") */ protected $salt; /** * @ORM\Column(type="string") */ protected $password; /** * @ORM\Column(type="datetime", nullable=true, name="last_login") */ protected $lastLogin; /** * @ORM\Column(type="boolean") */ protected $locked; /** * @ORM\Column(type="boolean") */ protected $expired; /** * @ORM\Column(type="datetime", nullable=true, name="expires_at") */ protected $expiresAt; /** * @ORM\Column(type="string", nullable=true, name="confirmation_token") */ protected $confirmationToken; /** * @ORM\Column(type="datetime", nullable=true, name="password_requested_at") */ protected $passwordRequestedAt; /** * @ORM\Column(type="array") */ protected $roles; /** * @ORM\Column(type="boolean", name="credentials_expired") */ protected $credentialsExpired; /** * @ORM\Column(type="datetime", nullable=true, name="credentials_expired_at") */ protected $credentialsExpiredAt; public function __construct() { parent::__construct(); // your own logic } /** * @return string */ public function getFirstName() { return $this->firstName; } /** * @return string */ public function getLastName() { return $this->lastName; } /** * Sets the first name. * * @param string $firstname * * @return User */ public function setFirstName($firstname) { $this->firstName = $firstname; return $this; } /** * Sets the last name. * * @param string $lastname * * @return User */ public function setLastName($lastname) { $this->lastName = $lastname; return $this; } } I've seen various suggestions about this but none of the suggestions seem to work for me. The FOSUserBundle docs are very sparse about what must be a very common request.

    - by Ummar
    I am writting a silverlight application in which I want to call the php webservice written using NuSOAP. here is the WSDL of webservice <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?> - <definitions xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:tns="urn:currencywebservice" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" targetNamespace="urn:currencywebservice"> - <types> - <xsd:schema targetNamespace="urn:currencywebservice"> <xsd:import namespace="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" /> <xsd:import namespace="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" /> </xsd:schema> </types> <message name="GetAllCurrenciesRequest" /> - <message name="GetAllCurrenciesResponse"> <part name="return" type="xsd:string" /> </message> - <portType name="currencywebservicePortType"> - <operation name="GetAllCurrencies"> <documentation>Get all currencies available</documentation> <input message="tns:GetAllCurrenciesRequest" /> <output message="tns:GetAllCurrenciesResponse" /> </operation> </portType> - <binding name="currencywebserviceBinding" type="tns:currencywebservicePortType"> <soap:binding style="rpc" transport="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http" /> - <operation name="GetAllCurrencies"> <soap:operation soapAction="urn:currencywebservice#GetAllCurrencies" style="rpc" /> - <input> <soap:body use="literal" namespace="urn:currencywebservice" /> </input> - <output> <soap:body use="literal" namespace="urn:currencywebservice" /> </output> </operation> </binding> - <service name="currencywebservice"> - <port name="currencywebservicePort" binding="tns:currencywebserviceBinding"> <soap:address location="http://localhost/extras/currency/currencyservice.php" /> </port> </service> </definitions> When I call the webservice it gives an exception The content type text/html of response message does not match the content type of the binding (text/xml; charset=utf-8). If using a custom encoder, be sure that the IsContentTypeSupported method is implemented properly The php side of service is <?php // Pull in the NuSOAP code require_once('../../lib/tools/nusoap/nusoap.php'); $ns = "urn:currencywebservice"; // Create the server instance $server = new soap_server(); // Initialize WSDL support $server->configureWSDL('currencywebservice', $ns); $server->xml_encoding = "utf-8"; $server->soap_defencoding = "utf-8"; $server->wsdl->schemaTargetNamespace = $ns; $server->register('GetAllCurrencies', array(), array('return' => 'xsd:string'), $ns, $ns."#GetAllCurrencies", 'rpc', 'literal', 'Get all currencies available'); // Define the method as a PHP function function GetAllCurrencies() { return "test return"; } // Use the request to (try to) invoke the service header('Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf8'); $server->service($HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA); ?> Please help me out what is this problem?

  • ASMX Web Services with SOAP Extension

    - by digitall
I am in the process of setting up a web service for an external client to connect to my client's application and update some information. I went the ASMX route (the rest of the application runs on WCF) because I knew the external client could be very difficult to deal with and I was trying to keep everything as simple as possible. They also aren't a .Net shop which makes things worse. After getting the service setup for them I provided the ASMX URL for them to see how to format the SOAP headers/message content. They have since come back and told me their tool is unable to send them in the format required by .Net and I can either come up with a different way to accept messages or we have to go with FTP. Based on this I have been researching how to intercept their message, reformat it the way my service requires it (which means adding two lines), and then let it process. This path led me to SOAP Extensions which I have been trying to work with but can't seem to figure out. When I have my sample application call the web service from the generated code Add Web Reference provides everything works great until I add in my extension. All it currently does is override ChainStream setting an internal stream equal to the one being passed in and returning a new stream, like this: private Stream newStream = null; private Stream oldStream = null; public override Stream ChainStream(Stream stream) { this.oldStream = stream; this.newStream = new MemoryStream(); return newStream; } I also override ProcessMessage and in it take the contents of oldStream and set newStream equal to that and then write to a different stream with an XmlWriter. I take that new stream and using a StreamReader read it into a string, with the end goal being manipulating it here and setting newStream (which is being used by ChainStream) equal to the contents of this. Here is that piece: public override void ProcessMessage(SoapMessage message) { switch (message.Stage) { case SoapMessageStage.BeforeDeserialize: this.Process(); break; default: break; } } private void Process() { this.newStream.Position = 0L; XmlTextReader reader = new XmlTextReader(this.oldStream); MemoryStream outStream = new MemoryStream(); using (XmlWriter writer = XmlWriter.Create(outStream)) { do { writer.WriteNode(reader, true); } while (reader.Read()); writer.Flush(); } outStream.Seek(0, SeekOrigin.Begin); StreamReader streamReader = new StreamReader(outStream); string message = streamReader.ReadToEnd(); newStream = outStream; newStream.Seek(0, SeekOrigin.Begin); streamReader.Close(); } By running this, which seems to me like it would be fine, my test application gets a 400 Bad Request back from the service. If I either don't use the extension or I don't do anything in ProcessMessage everything seems fine. Any suggestions to this? As a side note, once I get this working with the generated code from the WSDL I will be moving to a WebRequest to try sending the message to the service. Currently that bombs out with a 415 Unsupported Media Type response. I'm trying to keep this post to one question but if anyone has any tips with using a WebRequest to connect to an ASMX service it would be much appreciated!

  • Get Asynchronous HttpResponse through Silverlight (F#)

  • c# SendMessage and Skype woes

    - by Xcelled194
I'm trying to create an add-on to Skype with C#. I don't want to use Skype4COM, as I'd like the experience with messages and such. Unfortunately, the messages are tripping me up. I've got the pumps and such set up. They all work, and my app successfully sends the "APIDiscover" message to Skype, gets a "PendingAuth" response and then the "AttachSuccess" message. However, when I try to send "ping" to Skype (to which it should reply "pong") nothing happens. The return code from SendMessage is 0 but Marshall.GetLastWin32Error is 1400 (Invalid handle). The handle was returned with the AttachSuccess method. The equivalent C++ code does work, so I'm at a loss. First is the C++ code I'm using as a guide: Here's the (cut down) message pump. You can ignore everything but where I put the //<---- static LRESULT APIENTRY SkypeAPITest_Windows_WindowProc( HWND hWindow, UINT uiMessage, WPARAM uiParam, LPARAM ulParam) { LRESULT lReturnCode; bool fIssueDefProc; lReturnCode=0; fIssueDefProc=false; switch(uiMessage) { case WM_COPYDATA: if( hGlobal_SkypeAPIWindowHandle==(HWND)uiParam ) { PCOPYDATASTRUCT poCopyData=(PCOPYDATASTRUCT)ulParam; printf( "Message from Skype(%u): %.*s\n", poCopyData->dwData, poCopyData->cbData, poCopyData->lpData); lReturnCode=1; } break; default: if( uiMessage==uiGlobal_MsgID_SkypeControlAPIAttach ) { switch(ulParam) { case SKYPECONTROLAPI_ATTACH_SUCCESS: printf("!!! Connected; to terminate issue #disconnect\n"); hGlobal_SkypeAPIWindowHandle=(HWND)uiParam;//<---- Right here is where we receive the handle from Skype. break; } if( fIssueDefProc ) lReturnCode=DefWindowProc( hWindow, uiMessage, uiParam, ulParam); return(lReturnCode); } and this is the (again dumbed down) "sending message" code void __cdecl Global_InputProcessingThread(void *) { static char acInputRow[1024]; bool fProcessed; if( SendMessageTimeout( HWND_BROADCAST, uiGlobal_MsgID_SkypeControlAPIDiscover, (WPARAM)hInit_MainWindowHandle, 0, SMTO_ABORTIFHUNG, 1000, NULL)!=0 ) { while(Global_Console_ReadRow( acInputRow, sizeof(acInputRow)-1)) { if( fProcessed==false && hGlobal_SkypeAPIWindowHandle!=NULL ) { COPYDATASTRUCT oCopyData; // send command to skype oCopyData.dwData=0; oCopyData.lpData=acInputRow; oCopyData.cbData=strlen(acInputRow)+1; if( oCopyData.cbData!=1 ) { if( SendMessage( hGlobal_SkypeAPIWindowHandle, WM_COPYDATA, (WPARAM)hInit_MainWindowHandle, (LPARAM)&oCopyData)==FALSE ) { hGlobal_SkypeAPIWindowHandle=NULL; printf("!!! Disconnected\n"); } } } } } SendMessage( hInit_MainWindowHandle, WM_CLOSE, 0, 0); SetEvent(hGlobal_ThreadShutdownEvent); fGlobal_ThreadRunning=false; } And now here's my C# public bool PreFilterMessage(ref Message m) { Console.WriteLine(m.ToString()); if (m.Msg == WM_COPYDATA && SkypeAPIWindowHandle == m.WParam) { SkypeMessage(m); return true; } if (m.Msg == MsgApiAttach) { switch (m.LParam.ToInt32()) { case (int)SkypeControlAPIAttach.SUCCESS: SkypeAPIWindowHandle = m.WParam; //Here's where we set the Skype Handle AttachSuccess(m); return true; } } return false; //Defer all other messages } And here is my DLL import and Sending code [DllImport("user32.dll", CharSet = CharSet.Auto, SetLastError = false)] static extern IntPtr SendMessageA(IntPtr hWnd, UInt32 Msg, IntPtr wParam, ref MsgHelper.COPYDATASTRUCT lParam); public static void Command(string c) { if (c.Last() != '\0') c += "\0"; //Make string null terminated Console.WriteLine(); MsgHelper.COPYDATASTRUCT cda = new MsgHelper.COPYDATASTRUCT(); cda.dwData = new IntPtr(0); cda.lpData = c; cda.cbData = c.Length + 1; Marshal.GetLastWin32Error(); //Clear last error Console.WriteLine(SendMessageA(mHelper.SkypeAPIWindowHandle, MsgHelper.WM_COPYDATA, IntPtr.Zero, ref cda)); Console.WriteLine(Marshal.GetLastWin32Error()); } COPYDATASTRUCT is: public struct COPYDATASTRUCT { public IntPtr dwData; public int cbData; [MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.LPStr)] public string lpData; } I think that's everything. Let me know if I forgot something. Any ideas why I'm getting the 1400?

  • Java client listening to WebSphere MQ Server?

    - by user595234
I need to write a Java client listening to WebSphere MQ Server. Message is put into a queue in the server. I developed this code, but am not sure it is correct or not. • WCF service is not getting called

    - by Cheranga
I have a web solution and I have a WCF service project inside it. We need to support "cookieless". so in the web.config, it's set as <sessionState mode="SQLServer" sqlConnectionString="Data Source=ds;Initial Catalog=db;User Id=uid;Password=pwd" allowCustomSqlDatabase="true" cookieless="true" timeout="720" regenerateExpiredSessionId="false"/> The WCF service will be supporting sessions, so we have also set "aspNetCompatibilityEnabled" to true in web.config. <serviceHostingEnvironment aspNetCompatibilityEnabled="true" multipleSiteBindingsEnabled="true"/> The service and interfaces are as follows, [ServiceContract(SessionMode=SessionMode.Allowed)] public interface ICDOCService { } [AspNetCompatibilityRequirements(RequirementsMode = AspNetCompatibilityRequirementsMode.Allowed)] public class CDOCService : ICDOCService { } The problem we are facing is we cannot access the service from any client application. (web app, WCF test client) The following error is showing, when we access it via WCF Test client, Failed to invoke the service. Possible causes: The service is offline or inaccessible; the client-side configuration does not match the proxy; the existing proxy is invalid. Refer to the stack trace for more detail. You can try to recover by starting a new proxy, restoring to default configuration, or refreshing the service. The content type text/html; charset=UTF-8 of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (multipart/related; type="application/xop+xml"). If using a custom encoder, be sure that the IsContentTypeSupported method is implemented properly. The first 1024 bytes of the response were: <HTML> <HEAD> <link rel="alternate" type="text/xml" href="http://localhost:53721/Services/CDOCService.svc?disco"/> <STYLE type="text/css">#content{ FONT-SIZE: 0.7em; PADDING-BOTTOM: 2em; MARGIN-LEFT: 30px}BODY{MARGIN-TOP: 0px; MARGIN-LEFT: 0px; COLOR: #000000; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; BACKGROUND-COLOR: white}P{MARGIN-TOP: 0px; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 12px; COLOR: #000000; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana}PRE{BORDER-RIGHT: #f0f0e0 1px solid; PADDING-RIGHT: 5px; BORDER-TOP: #f0f0e0 1px solid; MARGIN-TOP: -5px; PADDING-LEFT: 5px; FONT-SIZE: 1.2em; PADDING-BOTTOM: 5px; BORDER-LEFT: #f0f0e0 1px solid; PADDING-TOP: 5px; BORDER-BOTTOM: #f0f0e0 1px solid; FONT-FAMILY: Courier New; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #e5e5cc}.heading1{MARGIN-TOP: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 15px; FONT-WEIGHT: normal; FONT-SIZE: 26px; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 3px; MARGIN-LEFT: -30px; WIDTH: 100%; COLOR: #ffffff; PADDING-TOP: 10px; FONT-FAMILY: Tahoma; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #003366}.intro{MARGIN-LEFT: -15px} </STYLE> <TITLE>CDOCService Service</TITLE></HEAD><BODY><DIV id="content"><P '. • PHP Mail Not Sending Messages

    - by Kenton de Jong
I realize this question title is pretty overused, but I couldn't find an answer to my problem. This could be because either I'm not too good with PHP and I don't understand the problem, or because I have a different issue, but I thought I would post it and see if somebody can help me. I developed a website for a local church in my city and I made the site on my computer, put it onto my website as a sub directory and tested it all. It worked great. One of the things the client wanted was there to be an email form that can send emails. I made it and all was good. I then uploaded it onto the church server and thought it went good too. But then we decided to try the email form out, and for some reason it didn't work. I made the email form by having the user select a recipient (pastor, office manager, etc.) with a radio button, and that would change the action of the email form. I just did something like this: if (recipent == "pastor") { document.forms[0].action = "../scripts/php/pastor_contact.php"; } else if (recipent == "pastoralAssist") { document.forms[0].action = "../scripts/php/pastoral_assist_contact.php"; } else if (recipent == "famMinistry") { document.forms[0].action = "../scripts/php/sacra_assist_contact.php"; } else if (recipent == "sacraAssist") { document.forms[0].action = "../scripts/php/fam_ministry_contact.php"; } I know this isn't the cleanest, but it works great. The php files then, all look very similar to this (just a different email)" <?php $name = $_POST['name']; $email = $_POST['email']; $phone = $_POST['phone']; $message = $_POST['message']; $formcontent="From: $name \n Email: $email \n Phone Number: $phone \n Message: $message"; $recipient = "[email protected]"; $subject = $_POST['subject']; $mailheader = "$subject \r\n"; mail($recipient, $subject, $formcontent, $mailheader) or die("There seems to be an error with this form. Sorry about the inconveince. We are working to get this fixed."); header('Location: ../../quickylinks/message_sent.html') ; ?> What this does, briefly, is collect the information from the email form, submit it as an email and then redirect the user to a "Message Sent" page. This works on my server, but not theirs so I believe it's something to do with their server. You can see their server information here and mine here. When the user sends the message, they get "There seems to be an error with this form. Sorry about the inconveince. We are working to get this fixed." and the email doesn't go through, although the code is the same on my server and it works fine there. My initial thought was that PHP wasn't installed on their server (rare, but it does happen). But it was. So then I thought maybe it was installed, but the "mail" function was disabled. So I tried the following php code: <?php if (function_exists('mail')) { echo 'mail() is available'; } else { echo 'mail() has been disabled'; } ?> And it came back with "mail() is available". So now I'm stuck and I don't know the problem could be. As I said, I'm not very good at PHP yet so if somebody could give a detailed answer, I would be really really thankful! Thank you so much!

  • Why Do I See the "In Recovery" Msg, and How Can I Prevent it?

    - by John Hansen
The project I'm working on creates a local copy of the SQL Server database for each SVN branch you work on. We're running SQL Server 2008 Express with Advanced Services on our local machine to host it. When we create a new branch, the build script will create a new database with the ID of that branch, creates the schema objects, and copies over a selection of data from the production shadow server. After the database is created, it, or other databases on the local machine, will often go into "In Recovery" mode for several minutes. After several refreshes it comes up and is happy, but will occasionally go back into "In Recovery" mode. The database is created in simple recovery mode. The file names aren't specified, so it uses default paths for files. The size of the database after loading data is ~400 megs. It is running in SQL Server 2005 compatibility mode. The command that creates the database is: sqlcmd -S $(DBServer) -Q "IF NOT EXISTS (SELECT [name] FROM sysdatabases WHERE [name] = '$(DBName)') BEGIN CREATE DATABASE [$(DBName)]; print 'Created $(DBName)'; END" ...where $(DBName) and $(DBServer) are MSBuild parameters. I got a nice clean log file this morning. When I turned on my computer it starts all five databases. However, two of them show transactions being rolled forward and backwards. The it just keeps trying to start up all five of the databases. 2010-06-10 08:24:59.74 spid52 Starting up database 'ASPState'. 2010-06-10 08:24:59.82 spid52 Starting up database 'CommunityLibrary'. 2010-06-10 08:25:03.97 spid52 Starting up database 'DLG-R8441'. 2010-06-10 08:25:05.07 spid52 2 transactions rolled forward in database 'DLG-R8441' (6). • piecing together a jquery form mailer

    - by Joel
    Hi guys, My newbieness is shining through here...I managed to piece together a form mailer that works great, but now I need to add two more fields, and I'm at a loss as to how to do it. Over the months, I have commented out some things I didn't need, but now I'm stuck. I borrowed from this tutorial to make the original form: http://trevordavis.net/blog/tutorial/ajax-forms-with-jquery/ But then I cannibalized it to make an email signup form for a newsletter, so the fields I need are: recipient email (me-hard coded in) senders email address subject (hardcoded in) first name and city in the body of the message For my form, I have this: <div> <?php include('verify.php'); ?> <form action="index_success.php" method="post" id="sendEmail" class="email"> <h3 class="register2">Newsletter Signup:</h3> <ul class="forms email"> <li class="name"><label for="yourName">Name: </label> <input type="text" name="yourName" class="info" id="yourName" value=" " /><br> </li> <li class="city"><label for="yourCity">City: </label> <input type="text" name="yourCity" class="info" id="yourCity" value=" " /><br> </li> <li class="email"><label for="emailFrom">Email: </label> <input type="text" name="emailFrom" class="info" id="emailFrom" value="<?= $_POST['emailFrom']; ?>" /> <?php if(isset($emailFromError)) echo '<span class="error">'.$emailFromError.'</span>'; ?> </li> <li class="buttons email"> <button type="submit" id="submit">Send</button> <input type="hidden" name="submitted" id="submitted" value="true" /> </li> </ul> </form> </div> emailcontact.js: $(document).ready(function(){ $("#submit").click(function(){ $(".error").hide(); var hasError = false; var emailReg = /^([\w-\.]+@([\w-]+\.)+[\w-]{2,4})?$/; var emailFromVal = $("#emailFrom").val(); if(emailFromVal == '') { $("#emailFrom").after('<span class="error">You forgot to enter the email address to send from.</span>'); hasError = true; } else if(!emailReg.test(emailFromVal)) { $("#emailFrom").after('<span class="error">Enter a valid email address to send from.</span>'); hasError = true; } var subjectVal = $("#subject").val(); if(subjectVal == '') { $("#subject").after('<span class="error">You forgot to enter your name.</span>'); hasError = true; } var messageVal = $("#message").val(); if(messageVal == '') { $("#message").after('<span class="error">You forgot to enter your city.</span>'); hasError = true; } if(hasError == false) { $(this).hide(); $("#sendEmail li.buttons").append('<img src="/wp-content/themes/default/images/template/loading.gif" alt="Loading" id="loading" />'); $.post("/includes/sendemail.php", //emailTo: emailToVal, { emailFrom: emailFromVal, subject: subjectVal, message: messageVal }, function(data){ $("#sendEmail").slideUp("normal", function() { $("#sendEmail").before('<h3 class="register2">Success!</h3><p class="emailbox">You are on the Newsletter email list.</p>'); }); } ); } return false; }); }); sendmail.php: <?php $mailTo = $_POST['emailTo']; $mailFrom = $_POST['emailFrom']; $subject = $_POST['yourName']; $message = $_POST['yourCity']; mail('[email protected]','Rattletree Newsletter', 'Name='.$subject. ' City='.$message, "From: ".$mailFrom); ?> Thanks for any help! I'm going crosseyed trying to figure this one out.

  • Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 406 (Not Acceptable)

    - by skip
I am trying to send json data and get back json data as well. I've <annotation-driven /> configured in my servlet-context.xml and I am using Spring framework version 3.1.0.RELEASE. When I send the request the browser tells me that it is not happy with the data returned from the server and gives me 406 error. And when I see the response from the server I see the whole 406 page returned by tomcat 6 server. I have got following in my pom for Jackson/Jackson processor: <!-- Jackson --> <dependency> <groupId>org.codehaus.jackson</groupId> <artifactId>jackson-core-asl</artifactId> <version>1.9.4</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>org.codehaus.jackson</groupId> <artifactId>jackson-mapper-asl</artifactId> <version>1.9.4</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>org.codehaus.jackson</groupId> <artifactId>jackson-xc</artifactId> <version>1.9.4</version> </dependency> <!-- Jackson JSON Processor --> <dependency> <groupId>org.codehaus.jackson</groupId> <artifactId>jackson-mapper-asl</artifactId> <version>1.8.1</version> </dependency> Following is the jquery code I am using to send the json request: $(function(){$(".sutmit-button").click(function(){ var dataString=$("#app-form").serialize(); $.ajax({ type:"POST", url:"apply.json", data:dataString, success:function(data, textStatus, jqXHR){ console.log(jqXHR.status); console.log(data); $('.postcontent').html("<div id='message'></div>"); $('#message').html("<h3>Request Submitted</h3>").append("<p>Thank you for submiting your request.</p>").hide().fadeIn(1500,function(){$('#message');}); }, error:function(jqXHR, textStatus, errorThrown) { console.log(jqXHR.status); $('.postcontent').html("<div id='message'></div>"); $('#message').html("<h3>Request failed.</h3>").hide().fadeIn(1500,function(){$('#message');}); }, dataType: "json" }); return false;});}); Following is the Controller that is handling the request: @RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.POST, value="apply", headers="Accept=application/json") public @ResponseBody Application processFranchiseeApplicationForm(HttpServletRequest request) { //... Application application = new Application(...); //... logger.debug(application); return application; } I am not able to figure out the reason why I might be getting this error. Could someone help me understand why am I getting the given error? Thanks.

  • jquery live problem

    - by Kay
Hi, I have a website which uses jquery and lots of mouseover/mouseout effect. So far I used the .bind() method of jquery but if you have 1000 event handlers, this is slowing down your browser a lot. So, I want to move to use .live or .delegate. One part of my portal site is a chat area. User can set chat messages which will then be displayed in a simple table. There is a feature that if you move the mouse over a chat message a trash can will appear allowing you to delete the message (if it is by you or you are a moderator). The trash bin is in the same table cell as the chat message. The problem: Using .bind() it worked like a charm. This is the old code: function CreateChatMessageContextMenu(ctrl, messageID, message, sender) { var a = document.createElement("a"); a.href = "javascript:RemoveChatMessage(" + messageID + ");" a.id = 'aDeleteChatMessage' + messageID; a.style.display = 'none'; var img = document.createElement("span"); img.className = "sprite-common messages-image sprite-common-btnDelete"; a.appendChild(img); ctrl.appendChild(a); $(ctrl) .bind('mouseover', function(event) { $('#aDeleteChatMessage' + messageID).show() }) .bind('mouseout', function(event) { $('#aDeleteChatMessage' + messageID).hide() }); return; } 'ctrl' is the reference to a table cell. Now, using .live() the trashbin also appears but it is flickering a lot and when I move the mouse over the trashbin, it is disappearing or inactive. I have the feeling that more events are thrown or something. It seems like the 'mouseout' is thrown when moving over the trashbin, but the thrashbin is inside the tablecell so mouseout should not be triggered. The new code is as follows. $(document).ready { $('.jDeleteableChatMessage').live('mouseover mouseout', function(event) { var linkID = '#aDelete' + event.target.id; if (event.type == 'mouseover') { $(linkID).show(); } else { $(linkID).hide(); } return false; }); } function CreateChatMessageContextMenu(ctrl, messageID, message, sender) { if (!UserIsModerator && (UserLogin != sender)) return; ctrl.id = 'ChatMessage' + messageID; var deleteString = 'Diese Chatnachricht löschen'; if (UserLang == '1') deleteString = 'Delete this chat message'; var a = document.createElement("a"); a.href = "javascript:RemoveChatMessage(" + messageID + ");" a.id = 'aDeleteChatMessage' + messageID; a.style.display = 'none'; var img = document.createElement("span"); img.className = "sprite-common messages-image sprite-common-btnDelete"; img.alt = deleteString; img.title = deleteString; a.appendChild(img); ctrl.appendChild(a); $(ctrl).addClass('jDeleteableChatMessage'); } I add a class to tell jQuery which chat cell have a trash bin and which don't. I also add an ID to the table cell which is later used to determine the associated trash bin. Yes, that's clumsy data passing to an event method. And, naturally, there is the document.ready function which initialises the .live() method. So, where is my mistake?

  • NullReferenceException when calling InsertOnSubmit in Linq to Sql.

    - by Charlie
I'm trying to insert a new object into my database using LINQ to SQL but get a NullReferenceException when I call InsertOnSubmit() in the code snippet below. I'm passing in a derived class called FileUploadAudit, and all properties on the object are set. public void Save(Audit audit) { try { using (ULNDataClassesDataContext dataContext = this.Connection.GetContext()) { if (audit.AuditID > 0) { throw new RepositoryException(RepositoryExceptionCode.EntityAlreadyExists, string.Format("An audit entry with ID {0} already exists and cannot be updated.", audit.AuditID)); } dataContext.Audits.InsertOnSubmit(audit); dataContext.SubmitChanges(); } } catch (Exception ex) { if (ObjectFactory.GetInstance<IExceptionHandler>().HandleException(ex)) { throw; } } } Here's the stack trace: at System.Data.Linq.Table`1.InsertOnSubmit(TEntity entity) at XXXX.XXXX.Repository.AuditRepository.Save(Audit audit) C:\XXXX\AuditRepository.cs:line 25" I've added to the Audit class like this: public partial class Audit { public Audit(string message, ULNComponent component) : this() { this.Message = message; this.DateTimeRecorded = DateTime. Now; this.SetComponent(component); this.ServerName = Environment.MachineName; } public bool IsError { get; set; } public void SetComponent(ULNComponent component) { this.Component = Enum.GetName(typeof(ULNComponent), component); } } And the derived FileUploadAudit looks like this: public class FileUploadAudit : Audit { public FileUploadAudit(string message, ULNComponent component, Guid fileGuid, string originalFilename, string physicalFilename, HttpPostedFileBase postedFile) : base(message, component) { this.FileGuid = fileGuid; this.OriginalFilename = originalFilename; this.PhysicalFileName = physicalFilename; this.PostedFile = postedFile; this.ValidationErrors = new List<string>(); } public Guid FileGuid { get; set; } public string OriginalFilename { get; set; } public string PhysicalFileName { get; set; } public HttpPostedFileBase PostedFile { get; set; } public IList<string> ValidationErrors { get; set; } } Any ideas what the problem is? The closest question I could find to mine is here but my partial Audit class is calling the parameterless constructor in the generated code, and I still get the problem. UPDATE: This problem only occurs when I pass in the derived FileUploadAudit class, the Audit class works fine. The Audit class is generated as a linq to sql class and there are no Properties mapped to database fields in the derived class.

  • .Net Intermittent System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHeaderException

We have a .net 3.5 web app that consumes third party web services. The proxy was created by adding a web reference to their wsdl. This proxy is not compiled. The web service host does round-robin DNS, and they may be responding on a different IP address for the syn syn/ack from one ip, and the next from a different ip. This is not good. This is likely quite specific to our situation, but perhaps it applies to others as well. Microsoft Network Monitor and an application trace got us the information we needed.

  • Injecting jms resource in servlet & best practice for MDB

    - by kislo_metal
using ejb 3.1, servlet 3.0 (glassfish server v3) Scenario: I have MDB that listen to jms messages and give processing to some other session bean (Stateless). Servelet injecting jms resource. Question 1: Why servlet can`t inject jms resources when they use static declaration ? @Resource(mappedName = "jms/Tarturus") private static ConnectionFactory connectionFactory; @Resource(mappedName = "jms/StyxMDB") private static Queue queue; private Connection connection; and @PostConstruct public void postConstruct() { try { connection = connectionFactory.createConnection(); } catch (JMSException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } @PreDestroy public void preDestroy() { try { connection.close(); } catch (JMSException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } The error that I get is : [#|2010-05-03T15:18:17.118+0300|WARNING|glassfish3.0|javax.enterprise.system.container.web.com.sun.enterprise.web|_ThreadID=35;_ThreadName=Thread-1;|StandardWrapperValve[WorkerServlet]: PWC1382: Allocate exception for servlet WorkerServlet com.sun.enterprise.container.common.spi.util.InjectionException: Error creating managed object for class ua.co.rufous.server.services.WorkerServiceImpl at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl.createManagedObject(InjectionManagerImpl.java:312) at com.sun.enterprise.web.WebContainer.createServletInstance(WebContainer.java:709) at com.sun.enterprise.web.WebModule.createServletInstance(WebModule.java:1937) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapper.loadServlet(StandardWrapper.java:1252) Caused by: com.sun.enterprise.container.common.spi.util.InjectionException: Exception attempting to inject Unresolved Message-Destination-Ref ua.co.rufous.server.services.WorkerServiceImpl/[email protected]@null into class ua.co.rufous.server.services.WorkerServiceImpl at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl._inject(InjectionManagerImpl.java:614) at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl.inject(InjectionManagerImpl.java:384) at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl.injectInstance(InjectionManagerImpl.java:141) at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl.injectInstance(InjectionManagerImpl.java:127) at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl.createManagedObject(InjectionManagerImpl.java:306) ... 27 more Caused by: com.sun.enterprise.container.common.spi.util.InjectionException: Illegal use of static field private static javax.jms.Queue ua.co.rufous.server.services.WorkerServiceImpl.queue on class that only supports instance-based injection at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl._inject(InjectionManagerImpl.java:532) ... 31 more |#] my MDB : /** * asadmin commands * asadmin create-jms-resource --restype javax.jms.ConnectionFactory jms/Tarturus * asadmin create-jms-resource --restype javax.jms.Queue jms/StyxMDB * asadmin list-jms-resources */ @MessageDriven(mappedName = "jms/StyxMDB", activationConfig = { @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "connectionFactoryJndiName", propertyValue = "jms/Tarturus"), @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "acknowledgeMode", propertyValue = "Auto-acknowledge"), @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destinationType", propertyValue = "javax.jms.Queue") }) public class StyxMDB implements MessageListener { @EJB private ActivationProcessingLocal aProcessing; public StyxMDB() { } public void onMessage(Message message) { try { TextMessage msg = (TextMessage) message; String hash = msg.getText(); GluttonyLogger.getInstance().writeInfoLog("geted jms message hash = " + hash); } catch (JMSException e) { } } } everything work good without static declaration: @Resource(mappedName = "jms/Tarturus") private ConnectionFactory connectionFactory; @Resource(mappedName = "jms/StyxMDB") private Queue queue; private Connection connection; Question 2: what is the best practice for working with MDB : processing full request in onMessage() or calling another bean(Stateless bean in my case) in onMessage() method that would process it. Processing including few calls to soap services, so the full processing time could be for a 3 seconds. Thank you.

  • SAXException: bad envelope tag

    - by David Guzman
I'm trying to connect to a webservice https protected through a webservice client. Eclipse generated a stub based webservice client and looks nice to me. The problem comes when I try to call a method from the webservice: String a = (String)webservice.userProfileServices(xml); I'm also using the following SOAP headers: esgGatewayPort = (new EsgGatewayLocator()).getesgGatewayPort(); //setting the authentication header PrefixedQName name = new PrefixedQName("http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2002/07/secext","Security","wsse"); System.out.println("Setting headers for authentication"); org.apache.axis.message.SOAPHeaderElement sh = new org.apache.axis.message.SOAPHeaderElement(name); SOAPElement sub; try { String clntUserName="myUser"; String clntPassword="myPassword"; sub = sh.addChildElement("UsernameToken"); SOAPElement element = sub.addChildElement("Username"); element.addTextNode(clntUserName); element = sub.addChildElement("Password"); element.addTextNode(clntPassword); ((org.apache.axis.client.Stub) esgGatewayPort).setHeader(sh); } catch (SOAPException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } I receive the following: AxisFault faultCode: {http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/}Server.userException faultSubcode: faultString: org.xml.sax.SAXException: Bad envelope tag: HTML faultActor: faultNode: faultDetail: {http://xml.apache.org/axis/}stackTrace:org.xml.sax.SAXException: Bad envelope tag: HTML at org.apache.axis.message.EnvelopeBuilder.startElement(EnvelopeBuilder.java:71) at org.apache.axis.encoding.DeserializationContext.startElement(DeserializationContext.java:1048) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.AbstractSAXParser.startElement(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLNSDocumentScannerImpl.scanStartElement(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLNSDocumentScannerImpl$NSContentDriver.scanRootElementHook(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDocumentFragmentScannerImpl$FragmentContentDriver.next(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDocumentScannerImpl$PrologDriver.next(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDocumentScannerImpl.next(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLNSDocumentScannerImpl.next(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDocumentFragmentScannerImpl.scanDocument(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.XML11Configuration.parse(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.XML11Configuration.parse(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.XMLParser.parse(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.AbstractSAXParser.parse(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.SAXParserImpl$JAXPSAXParser.parse(Unknown Source) at weblogic.xml.jaxp.WebLogicXMLReader.parse(WebLogicXMLReader.java:133) at weblogic.xml.jaxp.RegistryXMLReader.parse(RegistryXMLReader.java:153) at javax.xml.parsers.SAXParser.parse(Unknown Source) at org.apache.axis.encoding.DeserializationContext.parse(DeserializationContext.java:227) at org.apache.axis.SOAPPart.getAsSOAPEnvelope(SOAPPart.java:696) at org.apache.axis.Message.getSOAPEnvelope(Message.java:435) at org.apache.axis.transport.http.HTTPSender.readFromSocket(HTTPSender.java:796) at org.apache.axis.transport.http.HTTPSender.invoke(HTTPSender.java:144) at org.apache.axis.strategies.InvocationStrategy.visit(InvocationStrategy.java:32) at org.apache.axis.SimpleChain.doVisiting(SimpleChain.java:118) at org.apache.axis.SimpleChain.invoke(SimpleChain.java:83) at org.apache.axis.client.AxisClient.invoke(AxisClient.java:165) at org.apache.axis.client.Call.invokeEngine(Call.java:2784) at org.apache.axis.client.Call.invoke(Call.java:2767) at org.apache.axis.client.Call.invoke(Call.java:2443) at org.apache.axis.client.Call.invoke(Call.java:2366) at org.apache.axis.client.Call.invoke(Call.java:1812) Any help will be truly appreciated David

  • Windows Service Hosting WCF Objects over SSL (https) - Custom JSON Error Handling Doesn't Work

    - by bpatrick100
I will first show the code that works in a non-ssl (http) environment. This code uses a custom json error handler, and all errors thrown, do get bubbled up to the client javascript (ajax). // Create webservice endpoint WebHttpBinding binding = new WebHttpBinding(); ServiceEndpoint serviceEndPoint = new ServiceEndpoint(ContractDescription.GetContract(Type.GetType(svcHost.serviceContract + ", " + svcHost.assemblyName)), binding, new EndpointAddress(svcHost.hostUrl)); // Add exception handler serviceEndPoint.Behaviors.Add(new FaultingWebHttpBehavior()); // Create host and add webservice endpoint WebServiceHost webServiceHost = new WebServiceHost(svcHost.obj, new Uri(svcHost.hostUrl)); webServiceHost.Description.Endpoints.Add(serviceEndPoint); webServiceHost.Open(); I'll also show you what the FaultingWebHttpBehavior class looks like: public class FaultingWebHttpBehavior : WebHttpBehavior { public FaultingWebHttpBehavior() { } protected override void AddServerErrorHandlers(ServiceEndpoint endpoint, EndpointDispatcher endpointDispatcher) { endpointDispatcher.ChannelDispatcher.ErrorHandlers.Clear(); endpointDispatcher.ChannelDispatcher.ErrorHandlers.Add(new ErrorHandler()); } public class ErrorHandler : IErrorHandler { public bool HandleError(Exception error) { return true; } public void ProvideFault(Exception error, MessageVersion version, ref Message fault) { // Build an object to return a json serialized exception GeneralFault generalFault = new GeneralFault(); generalFault.BaseType = "Exception"; generalFault.Type = error.GetType().ToString(); generalFault.Message = error.Message; // Create the fault object to return to the client fault = Message.CreateMessage(version, "", generalFault, new DataContractJsonSerializer(typeof(GeneralFault))); WebBodyFormatMessageProperty wbf = new WebBodyFormatMessageProperty(WebContentFormat.Json); fault.Properties.Add(WebBodyFormatMessageProperty.Name, wbf); } } } [DataContract] public class GeneralFault { [DataMember] public string BaseType; [DataMember] public string Type; [DataMember] public string Message; } The AddServerErrorHandlers() method gets called automatically, once webServiceHost.Open() gets called. This sets up the custom json error handler, and life is good :-) The problem comes, when we switch to and SSL (https) environment. I'll now show you endpoint creation code for SSL: // Create webservice endpoint WebHttpBinding binding = new WebHttpBinding(); ServiceEndpoint serviceEndPoint = new ServiceEndpoint(ContractDescription.GetContract(Type.GetType(svcHost.serviceContract + ", " + svcHost.assemblyName)), binding, new EndpointAddress(svcHost.hostUrl)); // This exception handler code below (FaultingWebHttpBehavior) doesn't work with SSL communication for some reason, need to resarch... // Add exception handler serviceEndPoint.Behaviors.Add(new FaultingWebHttpBehavior()); //Add Https Endpoint WebServiceHost webServiceHost = new WebServiceHost(svcHost.obj, new Uri(svcHost.hostUrl)); binding.Security.Mode = WebHttpSecurityMode.Transport; binding.Security.Transport.ClientCredentialType = HttpClientCredentialType.None; webServiceHost.AddServiceEndpoint(svcHost.serviceContract, binding, string.Empty); Now, with this SSL endpoint code, the service starts up correctly, and wcf hosted objects can be communicated with just fine via client javascript. However, the custom error handler doesn't work. The reason is, the AddServerErrorHandlers() method never gets called when webServiceHost.Open() is run. So, can anyone tell me what is wrong with this picture? And why, is AddServerErrorHandlers() not getting called automatically, like it does when I'm using non-ssl endpoints? Thanks!
