Or a dll to move over? I wonder was the code above written for Framework 2.0 only? Thanks for your help.

    Hello, I am trying develop a basic referrer system to my Django website, system will be generating a unique url for each users to share with their friends. Once these friends enter this website, system somehow keep the data that "this user is browsing by the reference of X user" and once this invited person decided to register for an account, system will save this information (maybe as an extra Foreign Key of the inviting user in the UserProfile model) Now how can I keep track of the inviting user from the moment entering using the referred link to the point where he/she registers to the site. Would session framework work on this? If not how could this be done ?

    My gstreamer Pipeline is like this Approach1 --------------input-selector->Queue->AduioParser->AudioSink | Souphttpsrc->tsdemux-->| | --------------- Queue->videoParser->videoSink In this approach 1, there is a delay in audio decoding when I toggle between various audio language. Approach2 ------ input-selector-> Queue->AduioParser->AudioSink | Souphttpsrc->tsdemux---multiqueue>| | ------- Queue->videoParser->VideoSink But there is no delay is observed in approach2. Can anyone please explain the reason behind this ? what is the specialty of multiqueue here?

I want to add another language to my repertoire and have gotten conflicting advice: Ruby, Python, Perl, JavaScript, PHP, AJAX, among others. I was wondering what everyone's opinions were on the relative value of each of these languages in the job market, the ease of learning of each of the languages, and just personal preferences when it comes to the languages mentioned above.     I had some experience on programming languages like Java, C#, Scala as well as some lower level programming language like C, C++, Objective - C. My observation is that low level languages separate out header files and implementation files while other higher level programming language never separate it out. They use some identifiers like public, private, protected to do the jobs of header files. I saw one benefit of using header file (in some book like Code Complete), they talk about that using header files, people can never look at our implementation file and it helps with encapsulation. A drawback is that it creates too many files for me. Sometimes, it looks like verbose. It is just my thought and I don't know if there are any other benefits and drawbacks that people ever see and work with header file This question may not relate directly to programming but I think that if I can understand better about programming to interface, design software.

  • How to use the Visual Studio 2012 command line tool from system()

    I am attempting to compile and run one visual C++ program (project1) from another visual C++ program (project2) using msbuild and other commands available in the Visual studio command line tool but not in the windows command line tool. Everything works fine if I run it in the visual studio command line tool. For example I can build using msbuild and it works just as I want it to. When I try to run the same command in my C++ program using system(), the system call appears to use the Windows command line and therefore cannot find any of the commands (msbuild in this example). I am new to working with system() on windows (although I have extensive experience with it using Linux). Is there some way to make my C++ program use the Visual Studio command line environment when I call system (rather than Windows command line environment)? Using the command window manually is not an option. I need to compile and test a series of 200-300 different versions of the program in the project1. This is why I am writing program2

In what programming language this is possible ? def lab(input) input = ['90'] end x = ['80'] lab(x) puts x #=> value of x has changed from ['80'] to ['90] I have written this in ruby but in ruby I get the final x value of 80 because ruby is pass-by-reference. However what is passed is the reference to the data held by x and not pointer to x itself same is true in JavaScript. So I am wondering if there is any programming language where the following is true.

    Hi all, I've used the default .NET serialization for a class with a System.Drawing.Color member. The code is now in use by people, and I need to add an extra member to the class, but still deserialize older versions. So I tried the standard way of doing this: The ISerializable interface, using SerializationInfo methods to get the int and string members. The problem: My class also has a System.Drawing.Color member, but SerializationInfo doesn't provide a "GetColor" method read this data type. I've tried getting it as an int and as a string, and casting it to System.Drawing.Color, but no luck. Does anyone know how to deserialize a System.Drawing.Color from SerializationInfo? Thanx! Alan
