  • XML/XHTML replace content?

    I have a XHTML string I want to replace tags in for example <span tag="x">FOO</span> <span tag="y"> <b>bar</b> some random text <span>another span</span> </span> I want to be able to find tag="x" and replace FOO with my own content and find tag=y and replace all the inner content with by own content. What is the best way to do this? I am thinking regex is definitely out of the question. Can XPATH do this or is that just for searching can it do manipulation?

  • Http 404: Not Found (WebException)

    Hi, I am using a console app/class library to invoke a asp.net web service. The class library queries the database and sends the data to the web service. What I notice is that when the amount of data is huge (with 20 columns and 18K records), i get a HTTP 404: Not Found exception from the web service. I have tried increasing the maxReqeustLength and executionTimeout properties in the httpRuntime tag in the web.config of the web service. Is there any thing that I can do to overcome this?     I'm currently setting up an application config for a WPF application written in .Net 4.0. The connection string in the app.config is encrypted like so: <connectionStrings configProtectionProvider="DataProtectionConfigurationProvider"> <EncryptedData> <CipherData> <CipherValue>CypherValue</CipherValue> </CipherData> </EncryptedData> </connectionStrings> To use the EncryptedData element I need to include the XMLNS "http://schemas.microsoft.com/.NetConfiguration/v2.0". Attempting to include it produces an error as the schema cannot be found. Is there a way to include the schema or perhaps a different element I could use instead of EncryptedData?

    Hi. I've setup a project in Netbeans 6.5 with some web services that I've created myself and some web services that I've imported from WSDL files. I've setup a couple of desktop application through Netbeans in order to consume these web services. I'm not too sure where to go from here. I have the GUI setup but not sure how to reference the web services so they can be consumed. I was wondering would anybody be able to guide me through this process or point me in the direction of a relevant tutorial. I'd also like to learn how to consume a web service through a JSP (also created in Netbeans) if possible. Thanks.

  • How to cancel a web service call if it's not responding

    Hi, I have a web page (.aspx) that calls a third party web service to get some data. It usually takes couple of seconds to get the response back, and then the rest of the page will load. Occasionally the call gets stuck either due to the web service is down, or internet connection, etc., the page just hang there and will not load. My questions is: 1) Is there a way to abort/cancel the web service call after a set amount of time? 2) Is it even possible to verify the status of the web service before calling it? Thanks.

    I am looking that chapter 8 of the RedHat, JBoss documentation. I am trying to setup Certificate Authentication as described on this page . However I am completely bewildered as to what should be in this file: jmx-console-users.properties. Normally that file stores user/password pairs (source) but when using client-cert I don't think that there should be passwords in there. Right now I am leaving that file empty but I am getting this exception: [org.jboss.security.auth.spi.UsersRolesLoginModule.initialize:135] Failed to load users/passwords/role files java.io.IOException: No properties file: users.properties or defaults: defaultUsers.properties found ... In a test, I discovered that simply having the child class's ReadXml method call base.ReadXml resulted in an InvalidCastException later on. The value of XmlNodeName and the new Row()/new SpecificRow() are the differences. How would you suggest I extract out all the common functionality of both versions of ReadXml? Would it be silly to create some generic class just for one method? Sorry for the lengthy code samples, I just wanted to provide the reason I can't simply call base.ReadXml from within SpecificRows.
