  Is anyone aware of an R package for Bayesian Belief Networks (BBN) that can handle latent (hidden) nodes? I am referring to process learning the structure and the parameters of the model. Based on the documentation, the "bnlearn" package does not provide for such capability. In addition, is anyone aware of R packages that allow for making inferences and sensitivity analysis for BBN?   The Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.SqlDataType enum has a value for the timestamp type but not rowversion. I'm looking for an updated version of the assembly or an alternate enum type that supports it. The existing enum has a value for Timestamp, but according to the rowversion documentation, timestamp is "deprecated and will be removed in a future version". I prefer to avoid using deprecated things :)

  I'm adding two icons to a gtk.Entry in PyGTK. The icons signals are handled by the following method def entry_icon_event(self, widget, position, event) I'm trying to differentiate between the two of them: <enum GTK_ENTRY_ICON_PRIMARY of type GtkEntryIconPosition> <enum GTK_ENTRY_ICON_SECONDARY of type GtkEntryIconPosition> How can I do this? I've been digging through the documentation of PyGTK but there's no object GtkEntryIconPosition nor any definition for this enums. Thanks

  Hello! I would like to set up a proxy object in the application NIB file. The problem is that the NIB file is the main application NIB that gets loaded automatically by the application and therefore I cannot set up the UINibProxiedObjectsKey dictionary as described in the documentation. Is there a way to set up a proxy object in the main application NIB? Or can I tap into the code that loads the main application NIB?

  What is the safest communication method between two applications on the same machine, both Java and C/C++ clients with a Java server. Are SSL sockets safe enough or they can be broken by "man in the middle" attacks? As i saw in the documentation and code samples, JSSE retrieves private/public keys and certificates from keystore files which a malicious user can see. The only thing that you can hide in the code is the password used to unlock the keystores. Can hackers retrieve that password?

For instance, is it in any way guaranteed that the following code will always produce the same results, whatever the version of Python (existing and in the foreseeable future)? 0 == False # True 1 == True # True ['zero', 'one'][False] # is 'zero' Any reference to the official documentation would be much appreciated!   I read this article by Miguel de Icaza on attaching an assembly into a live mono process. How is this any different to attaching a DLL to a running process? I do this already, but once the DLL is attached, it can't be unloaded without using an AppDomain (which I am trying to avoid). Miguel talks about "patch[ing] running programs", but I don't understand how. I cant find any other documentation or examples on this.

• SDL_GL_SwapBuffers Segfault

  I'm getting a segfault that GDB says is coming from SDL_GL_SwapBuffers. However, I can't imagine why. The SDL documentation mentions no specific pre-conditions for calling swapBuffers except that double buffering be allowed. Is this an option I have to turn on while initializing OpenGL or is this a hardware capability thing?   I am using a dataset to pull data from a DB. One of the fields in a row is NULL. I know this. However, the following vb.net code throws a StrongTypingException (in the autogenerated get_SomeField() method in the dataset designer): If Not IsDBNull(aRow.SomeField) Then 'do something End If According to documentation and this question it should be fine. edit: If aRow.SomeField is DBNull.Value Then also returns the same error. Argh.

  The API defined in the ADL SDK manual reads: int ADL_Display_ConnectedDisplays_Get(int iAdapterIndex, int* lpConnections) They say that lpConnections is the pointer to the bit field indicating whether the output connectors on the specified adapter have devices physically attached to them. This information is exactly what I want but nowhere in the documentation I could find any data on what the various bits in the lpConnections obtained might mean. I also tried going through the header files but found nothing relevant on this. I know this is very specific to but can anyone here answer?

  Google Maps newbie (GIS newbie), I'm looking at a solution to map an overlay (number of polygons) on-top of Google maps and wondered if using a KML file was a viable solution? Basically, I have a number of address (address data) that I will pass to our internal GIS system, the GIS system hands me back a KML file (one file with a number of different locations) and then I draw the polygon using the KML Layering options: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/layers Sound like a viable solution?   Hi all, Quick question: How do I specify the number of characters in a split window? C-x-3 Splits my window into two windows evenly, but a subsequent split will split one of the windows in half. I'd like 3 equal sized windows. The documentation says that I should be able to specify the number of characters for the left buffer as a parameter, but I cant seem to get that to work. Any ideas for syntax? Thanks.
