I have a text file which contains words separated by space. I want to take each word from the file and store it. So i have opened the file but am unsure how to assign the word to a char.
FILE *fp;
fp = fopen("file.txt", "r");
//then i want
char one = the first word in the file
char two = the second word in the file
Hi there,
I have a piece of text that gets handed to me like:
here is line one\n\nhere is line two\n\nhere is line three
What I would like to do is break this string up into three separate variables.
I'm not quite sure how one would go about accomplishing this in python.
Thanks for any help,

Hi,
I am creating a web based email client using c# asp.net.
What is confusing is that various email clients seem to add the original text in alot of different ways when replying by email.
What I was wondering is that, if there is some sort of standardized way, to disambiguate this process?
Thank you

I was wondering if there was a way to extract all the values of a column, and then save each value into separate text files (labeled ANYTHING, 1-100 works fine).
I know how to do this through another language, but I'm using SQL Server 2008 with Microsoft SQL Server Manager and it would save me some time from figuring out how to do it through C#.
I have tried to embed the icalendar code in a email to be sent via indy with a content type text/calendar but it just hangs on the encoding of the email when I add as an attachment it just arrives as an attachment and does not prompt as other calendar request do. Has any one got example code of how to do calendar requests via indy?
There is a conflict between display:none and scrolling text. What can I use instead of using display:none?
<div id="side_forums_pane" class="side_pane" style=" height:350px;width:260px">
<div class="jscroller2_up jscroller2_speed-19 jscroller2_mousemove" style="height:250px;width:260px;">
</div>
</div>
Is it possible to search through blob text using sql statement?

How can I parse text and find all instances of hyperlinks with a string? The hyperlink will not be in the html format of <a href="http://test.com">test</a> but just http://test.com
Secondly, I would like to then convert the original string and replace all instances of hyperlinks into clickable html hyperlinks.
I found an example in this thread:
Easiest way to convert a URL to a hyperlink in a C# string?
but was unable to reproduce it in python :(
I have some text files previously formatted in vim using "gggqG". Now I need to convert them to one line per paragraph format. I saw a way(using :g command) to do that before, but I have forgot it. Anyone knows?
I've seen questions to prefix zeros here in SO. But not the other way !!
Can you guys suggest me how to remove the leading zeros in alphanumeric text. Are there any built-in APIs or do I need to write a method to trim the leading zero's?
Example:
01234 converts to 1234
0001234a converts to 1234a
001234-a converts to 1234-a
101234 remains as 101234
2509398 remains as 2509398
123z remains as 123z
000002829839 converts to 2829839
My application stores external website login/passwords for interaction with them. To interact with these website I need to use the original password text, so storing just the hash in my database is not going to work.
How should I store these passwords?
Hi folks,
I'm using os.popen() in order to run a few commands.
This is what "man ls" looks like:
Any ideas why the text is displayed as such. I tried both Arial and Consolas fonts.
Help would be amazing! Thanks
I have applied a color theme called Vibrant Ink (or some modification of it), and since I installed Visual Studio 2010 Pro Power Tools all my statement completion boxes are undreadable.
What setting changes the colors of these boxes? Preferrably, I'd like to change the background color to something darker, but if that's not possible at least I want to change the text color.
Back in the day, there was a standard that I was taught a standard for modelling database entities using text only, I can't remember the name of the standard but it looked somehing like
TableName, Key, Column
Anybody know what that form was called?
Is there any equivalent for -moz-user-select / -webkit-user-select for IE6 ?
I would like the text on my page not to be selectable in all major browsers.
What is the best solution for that ?
I tried to change the "List of Listings" text with the command
\renewcommand*{\lstlistlistingname}{List of XYZ}
before my \begin{document}. What's wrong with this?
By the way
\renewcommand*{\lstlistingname}{NewListing}
worked like a charm.
Thank you

I would like to proportionally decrease the size of all text in a WebView as easily as possible. I've tried android:textSize="..." without success. Api Level 7.
I'm looking for the easiest way to sort an array that consists of numbers and text, and a combination of these.
E.g.
'123asd'
'19asd'
'12345asd'
'asd123'
'asd12'
turns into
'19asd'
'123asd'
'12345asd'
'asd12'
'asd123'
This is going to be used in combination with the solution to another question I've asked here.
The sorting function in itself works, what I need is a function that can say that that '19asd' is smaller than '123asd'.
I'm writing this in JavaScript.
