  • UIImageView Centering Problem.

    To understand my problem let's follow this steps. Open - XCode - New Project - View based application. Open View Controller.xib file. Drag an image-view into viewController's view. Place that image view on center of viewController's view. Apply size of 125x125 to image-view. Take any image with dimension of 320 width & 460 height. Drag that image into your application resources directory. Now, Again back to .xib File & select image-view Set image (which is in your resources) to image-view Set Image-view Mode to - Center Ok. Let me explain the situation now. after performing all above steps - image-view has an image which is larger than image-view's size. However, Image-view places that image on center & in View controller image-view is looking proper ( not scaled ). But When you run your application, image-view will be displayed in size of 320x460. ( but it is not actually scaled. ) Now, I can't find the reason, why interface builder is displaying something else & simulator/iphone is displaying something else ? My Query. I want the image's center portion within image-view no matter what image size is. Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge. Sagar.

    I've been struggling to make it work, but cannot pass the inserted data from the controler to the view in CI using JSON. The input value from the form is successfully inserted into the database, but cannot make it appear in the view.     Hi, I have read that viewstate is not there in asp.net MVC application. I am doing model validation. Now if i have two text boxes on my page,and i am doing required filed validation for both of them in model. This validation is done on server side on click of a button. I will fill one text box and click on submit button. It does the validation and returns the result saying second field is required. At this time value of the first text box is retained. So can you tell me how this text box is retaining the value even after postback?

  • UIViewController is popped from view stack and NSURLConnection crashes the application

    I am pushing a UIViewController onto a UINavigationController. This view controller immediately starts a download of an xml feed and then parses it. However, if you hit the back button before it is done downloading, and crashes with EXC_BAD_ACCESS. The line that is crashing it is in parserDidEndDocument and is this line: if (self.delegate && [self.delegate conformsToProtocol:@protocol(ModelDelegate)]) [self.delegate modelDidFinishParsing:self]; I assume it is crashing because it is trying to access self.delegate which is not assigned anymore. How do I get around this? Also, I would release the model object in the modelDidFinishParsing method. How would I release this model if it never reaches this method.

  • My UITabBarController isn't appearing, but its first view is?

    I've done some reorganizing of my project recently and now I'm not seeing my tab bar controller, but its first view controller's view is appearing. Here's a breakdown of everything that happens prior to the problem. App Delegate loads FirstViewController with nib. FirstViewController loads the application data from my server and then presents MainViewController with a modal transition. MainViewController is where the UITabBarController is supposed to be appearing. It's a very simple class.     Implementation of a standard archive process in ASP.Net MVC. Backend SQL Server 2005 We've an existing web app built in MVC. We've an Entity "Claim" and it has some child entities like ClaimDetails, Files, etc... A pretty standard setup in DB. Each entity has its own table and are linked via FK. Now, we need to have an "Archive" feature in web app which will allow admin to archive a Claim and its child entities. An archived Claim shud become readonly when visited again. Here're some points on which I need your valued opinion - To keep it simple and scalable (for a few million records) for now we plan to simply add a bit field "Archived" to the Claim table in db. And change the behavior accordingly in the web app. We've a 'Manage claim' page which renders a bunch of diff views for Claim and its child entities. Now, for a readonly view we can either use the same views or have a separate set of views. What do you suggest? At controller level, we can identify archived claim and select which view to render. At model level, though it'd be great to be able to use the same model used for Manage Claim - but it might not get us the "text" of some lookup fields. For example, Claim.BrandId is rendered as a dropdown in Manage claim (requires only BrandId) but for readonly view we need 'BrandText'. Any existing ref or architecture level example would be great.     Hi, I want to save(export) contents of MyView, which extends TextView, into a bitmap. I followed the code: [this][1]. It works fine when the size of the text is small. But when there are lots of texts, and some of the content is out of the screen, what I got is only what showed in the screen.   • Creating a OS X Cocoa App Web View in Xcode 5.0.1

    I created a HTML5 web app that I’m trying to wrap in a web view and submit to the Mac App Store. I’ve done the following: 1) Opened Xcode 5.0.1 and selected “Create a new Xcode project” 2) Under “OS X” I selected “Application” then I selected “Cocoa Application” then “Next” 3) I entered a “Product Name” and a “Company Identifier” then selected “Next” (I left all the other settings untouched) then “Create” 4) Under “General” “Deployment Info” “Deployment Target” I selected 10.6 — because I want the app to be compatible with all versions of OS X that support the Mac App Store 5) I clicked “MainMenu.xib” and selected “Window - My App” 6) From the “Object library” I drug the “Web View” object into my window and made it fill the window size 7) I saved my project and click the Play button in the upper left corner of Xcode The app tries to open but freezes. I don’t get an error in Xcode but it does open “main.m” and highlight “return NSApplicationMain(argc, argv);” in green and says “Thread 1: signal SIGABRT” I was hoping that someone could clarify why this isn’t working? And provide me with the last step to link the web view object? I searched Google and found tutorials for iOS and a few for OS X but for different versions of Xcode.

    Hi all, I've got a conditional compilation symbol I'm using called "RELEASE", that I indicated in my project's properties in Visual Studio. I want some particular CSS to be applied to elements when the RELEASE symbol is defined, and I was trying to do that from the view, but it doesn't seem to be working. My view code looks like this (shortened a bit for demo purposes): <% #if (RELEASE) %> <div class="releaseBanner">Banner text here</div> <% #else %> <div class="debugBanner">Banner text here</div> <% #endif %> With this code, and with the RELEASE symbol set, the 'else' code is running and I'm getting a div with the debugBanner class. So it doesn't seem to think that RELEASE is defined. It's worth noting that my actual C# code in .cs files is recognizing RELEASE and runs the correct code. It's only the view that is giving me the problem. Does anyone have any insight into this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

To view this form my view script is: <?php echo $this->form; ?> This all works just fine, with fully functional dojo form elements (datepicker, timepicker, etc) and successfully saving the data. However, now, I want to format the form that is generated with css. Such as grouping some elements and floating left or right, making some input text fields wider/narrower, etc. How? I realize I can modify the view script but it seems like that defeats the purpose of using Zend_Dojo_Form or Zend_Form. Is that a correct assumption?

  • Model binding broke after upgrade to Visual Studio 2010

    I have an ASP.net MVC 1.0 VS2008 application that I just opened in Visual Studio 2010. When I did this Studio upgraded the app from VS2008 to the VS2010 project. It also upgraded the MVC references from 1.0 to 2.0. In my app I have a class for a form post, I then use the class for the model binding in the Action method so it will auto populate the values. This worked fine in mvc 1.0 but now it does not work in 2.0 after the upgrade. Does does anyone know why? Or where I should look to resolve this?     I try to to find a solution to do View and Edit of a the item from a tablview. My application base on UITabBarController. Each of the Bar items contain a class with a a couple of UIViews. This is the first items of UITabBarController. I done Add event from Apple sample code: SimpleEKDemo. Add Event working without any problem. I tried to add View and Edit part to the code. I would able to select an items from tableView to edit the selected item. But after I tried to add code from SimpleEKDemo to my code, I realized I have to add UINavigationController to the implement. So I did. After I add that it's came to the items of UITabBarController. Also I even the Add Event didn't worked very well (I couldn't insert event name and location. but edit was working. So I need to know: 1- Is it possible to implement Edit/View without using UINavigationController. If yes please let me know a sample code. 2- If I must use UINavigationController. Because I don't need UINavigationController to become it the first page and I don't need any bar added to my application.     I have a custom View Engine that derives from WebFormViewEngine. There's a lot of stuff going on in here, mostly caching. I want to be able to use WebFormViewEngine AND RazorViewEngine at the same time, is this possible? Ideally I'd like to do; ViewEngines.Add(new MyViewEngine<WebFormsViewEngine>()); ViewEngines.Add(new MyViewEngine<RazorViewEngine>()); if a .ascx/.aspx/.master file exists then use WebForms, otherwise use Razor is a .cshtml file exists. EDIT: I should of worded my question better. As my custom view engine derives from WebFormViewEngine it obviously uses WebForms, I can't derive from two classes. I can derive from RazorViewEngine but then I'll loose WebForms. I can duplicate my code entirely, derive from RazorViewEngine and edit the views file extensions, etc. but as I said I've got a lot of custom code in my view engine and would be duplicating hundreds of lines. WebFormViewEngine and RazorViewEngine derive from BuildManagerViewEngine which in turn implements IViewEngine. The problem with that is I have to implement methods CreatePartialView() and CreateView() but how would I know what to return (WebForms/Razor?) using generics?

    Hi, I have some code where the model contains some classes like (vb.net pseudocode, but could be any OO language): Enum AttributeType Boolean Date String End Enum MustInherit Class Attibute Must Override Function Type As AttributeType End Class Class BooleanAttribute: Attribute Function Type As AttributeType Return AttributeType.Boolean End Function End Class And the view contains some code like: Select Case AttributeType Case Boolean //Display checkbox control Case Date //Display date picker control Case String //Display textbox control End Select I don't really like the code in the view, for the hopefully obvious reasons (what happens when I get a new attribute type etc). My question is, how should I replace it? I could easily add a method to the concrete classes, but that pollutes the model with UI stuff so that's a horrible idea. I could move the select into a factory, but that seems to be just hiding the problem. Can anybody advise a better approach?
