• iPhone Application failing to come back from sigkill

  I have no idea if this is intended behaviour, but whenever the application exits (say, the user is double-clicking the home button and pressing on the red dash on the icon) I get the dreaded SIGKILL. Now, when I try to launch the app again all I get is the old screen state and a frozen (I presume ?) program. It could be because of clunky memory management, but NSZombieEnabled doesn't seem to agree. Any thoughts ?

• Can the current date be inserted into output through XSLT v1.0

  I have an incoming data stream that is being converted with XSLT v1.0 that incoming data does not contain any date information. what i would like, is a nice way of getting the current date to become part of the resulting output stream. I am aware of the 2.0 current-date() type functions - unfortunately those are not available to this environment... any thoughts/hacks/alternatives? tia

• version information stripped from .dll files when copied to prod.

  We have several .net dlls that are being stripped of version information when they are copied to our production environment. The Servers in prod are windows 2008 and we are using robocopy to move the files. It does not always strip the info, but when it does, it errors out the entire site. Any thoughts would be very helpful.

  I have put in some controls to allow users to resize my Flash app via Javascript: document.getElementById("flashApp").height*=1.25; document.getElementById("flashApp").width*=1.25; This works great in IE/Safari, but is ignored in Firefox. I know it's talking the the flash app and gets and sets the height/width vars ok, but the same code run in FireFox ignores the scaling. (It's not the DOC spec issue) Any thoughts? Bill

• SPAZ to connect to Laconica

  I installed a local version of Laconica microblogging in my env. Then I downlowaded SPAZ (an AIR client) to try and talk to the Laconica app. I get an authenitcation error. I have put in the appropriate credentials - I think :) But I think that I have to alter the API and base URL for connecting. Ayone have any thoughts on how to make these two apps talk ?   Hi, If I have a column, set as primary index, and set as INT. If I don't set it as auto increment and just insert random integers which are unique into it, does that slow down future queries compared to autincrementing? Does it speed things up if I run OPTIMIZE on a table with its primary and only index as INT? (assuming only 2 columns, and second column is just some INT value) (the main worry is the upper limit on the autoincrement as theres lots of adds and deletes in my table)

• JQuery. Layout is shaking during animation

  Hello everybody, JQuery accordion animation (as well as simple hides / shows) looks weird with some browsers (IE, Opera). But Fire Fox and Chrome renders animation perfectly without artifacts. Html layout tends to shake with IE / Opera during animation as if surrounding paddings / margins are changed for small random value. How can I minimize this effect. Is it jquery bug or browsers issue?
