  • Lightbox not loading.

    - by Nimbuz
// Lightbox $('a.lightbox').click(function () { $.getScript("js/lightbox.js", function () { alert('Load Complete'); $("a.lightbox").lightbox({ 'type': 'iframe', 'overlayOpacity': 0.6, 'width': 940, 'hideOnContentClick': false }); }); }); I want to load script on first request, but it doesn't seem to work, the page just redirects to the linked website, does not open iframe in lightbox. Thanks for your help.

  • Resulting .exe from PyInstaller with wxPython crashing

    - by Helgi Hrafn Gunnarsson
I'm trying to compile a very simple wxPython script into an executable by using PyInstaller on Windows Vista. The Python script is nothing but a Hello World in wxPython. I'm trying to get that up and running as a Windows executable before I add any of the features that the program needs to have. But I'm already stuck. I've jumped through some loops in regards to MSVCR90.DLL, MSVCP90.DLL and MSVCPM90.DLL, which I ended up copying from my Visual Studio installation (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\redist\x86\Microsoft.VC90.CRT). As according to the instructions for PyInstaller, I run: Command: Configure.py Output: I: computing EXE_dependencies I: Finding TCL/TK... I: could not find TCL/TK I: testing for Zlib... I: ... Zlib available I: Testing for ability to set icons, version resources... I: ... resource update available I: Testing for Unicode support... I: ... Unicode available I: testing for UPX... I: ...UPX available I: computing PYZ dependencies... So far, so good. I continue. Command: Makespec.py -F guitest.py Output: wrote C:\Code\PromoUSB\guitest.spec now run Build.py to build the executable Then there's the final command. Command: Build.py guitest.spec Output: checking Analysis building Analysis because out0.toc non existent running Analysis out0.toc Analyzing: C:\Python26\pyinstaller-1.3\support\_mountzlib.py Analyzing: C:\Python26\pyinstaller-1.3\support\useUnicode.py Analyzing: guitest.py Warnings written to C:\Code\PromoUSB\warnguitest.txt checking PYZ rebuilding out1.toc because out1.pyz is missing building PYZ out1.toc checking PKG rebuilding out3.toc because out3.pkg is missing building PKG out3.pkg checking ELFEXE rebuilding out2.toc because guitest.exe missing building ELFEXE out2.toc I get the resulting 'guitest.exe' file, but upon execution, it "simply crashes"... and there is no debug info. It's just one of those standard Windows Vista crashes. The script itself, guitest.py runs just fine by itself. It only crashes as an executable, and I'm completely lost. I don't even know what to look for, since nothing I've tried has returned any relevant results. Another file is generated as a result of the compilation process, called 'warnguitest.txt'. Here are its contents. • YUI - Pros and Cons

    - by StackOverflowNewbie
I'm about to begin a new project and plan to use YUI and my JS and CSS framework for the following reasons: Treeview with tri-state checkboxes (seems to be the best implementation I could find) Calandar (seen others, but since #1 is on YUI, I'm glad it also has calendar) CSS framework (was going to use 960, but might as well go 100% Yahoo) I plan to use only 1 JS framework. Does anyone see any problems with my decision?

  • asp.net with jquery valduation issue

    - by Eyla
    Greetings, I have 2 textboxs, 2 checkboxs and 2 labels. first textbox, checkbox, and label related to each other and the same for the rest. textbox should accept valid phone number based on jquery validation plugin and when the chackbox check the validation rule would change and in both option the error message would disply inside the label. I have no problem to implement that for one text box but when I add second one will have a problem and only the validation will happen for the second one only. please look at my code and advice. <script src="js/jquery-1.4.1.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="js/jquery.validate.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var RegularExpression; var USAPhone = /^[01]?[- .]?(\([2-9]\d{2}\)|[2-9]\d{2})[- .]?\d{3}[- .]?\d{4}$/; var InterPhone = /^\d{9,12}$/; var errmsg; function ValidPhoneHome(sender) { if (sender.checked == true) { RegularExpression = InterPhone; errmsg = "Enter 9 to 12 numbers as international number"; } else { RegularExpression = USAPhone; errmsg = "Enter a valid number"; } jQuery.validator.addMethod("phonehome", function(value, element) { return this.optional(element) || RegularExpression.test(value); }, errmsg); } function ValidMobileHome(sender) { if (sender.checked == true) { RegularExpression = InterPhone; errmsg = "Enter 9 to 12 numbers as international number"; } else { RegularExpression = USAPhone; errmsg = "Enter a valid number"; } jQuery.validator.addMethod("mobilephone", function(value, element) { return this.optional(element) || RegularExpression.test(value); }, errmsg); } $(document).ready(function() { ValidPhoneHome("#<%= chkIntphoneHome%>"); ValidMobileHome("#<%= chkIntMobileHome%>"); $("#aspnetForm").validate({ rules: { "<%=txtHomePhone.UniqueID %>": { phonehome: true } } , errorLabelContainer: "#lblHomePhone", rules: { "<%=txtMobileHome.UniqueID %>": { mobilephone: true } } , errorLabelContainer: "#lblMobileHome" }) </script> <asp:CheckBox ID="chkIntphoneHome" runat="server" Text="Internation Code" onclick="ValidPhoneHome(this)" > <asp:TextBox ID="txtHomePhone" runat="server" ></asp:TextBox> <label id="lblHomePhone"></label> <asp:CheckBox ID="chkIntMobileHome" runat="server" Text="Internation Code" onclick="ValidMobileHome(this)" /> <asp:TextBox ID="txtMobileHome" runat="server"></asp:TextBox> <label id="lblMobileHome"></label>

  • Server side Javascript best practices?

    - by Petteri Hietavirta
We have a CMS built on Java and it has Mozilla Rhino for the server side JS. At the moment the JS code base is small but growing. Before it is too late and code has become a horrible mess I want to introduce some best practices and coding style. Obviously the name space control is pretty important. But how about other best practices - especially for Java programmers?

  • Datacontracts property getter running twice

    - by user321426
I have a set of data contracts that act as wrappers to base classes that we wish to expose. A quick example is: [DataMember] public List<decimal> Points { get { return sourceObject.ListPoints(); } private set{} } We have some other properties that we have to massage the data first (we are converting object graphs and need to guard against circular references). The issue that we are seeing is that this getter will fire twice, once within the service operation, then again during serialization. This is causing two problems: We manually add to collections, since this is running twice the collections are filled with dupes. If an exception is thrown during the second run, it happens outside of the try/catch in the operation, and does not throw a fault. The service throws a cryptic timeout message, and the only way to see the error is via WCF trace logs.

  • Script tag in XHTML

    - by Ben
Hi, This might sound like a reaaaally dumb question but... why do browsers have a fit with this syntax: <script type='text/javascript' src="/path/to/my.js" /> and want this instead <script type='text/javascript' src="/path/to/my.js"></script> Seems the first construct should be valid since there's no inner content to the tag.. ?

  • How do I store an array of a particular type into my settings file?

    - by joebeazelman
For some reason, I can't seem to store an array of my class into the settings. Here's the code: var newLink = new Link(); Properties.Settings.Default.Links = new ArrayList(); Properties.Settings.Default.Links.Add(newLink); Properties.Settings.Default.Save(); In my Settings.Designer.cs I specified the field to be an array list: [global::System.Configuration.UserScopedSettingAttribute()] [global::System.Diagnostics.DebuggerNonUserCodeAttribute()] public global::System.Collections.ArrayList Links { get { return ((global::System.Collections.ArrayList)(this["Links"])); } set { this["Links"] = value; } } For some reason, it won't save any of the data even though the Link class is serializable and I've tested it.

  • cross domain iFrames communication problem

    - by Cyno
    I have a page A containing 2 children iFrames called B and C. A and B are on different domains. On pressing a button in B I would like to change C's URL. Based on the law III of Michael Mahemoff it should work, but in fact it doesn't (js security error). Here is the JS code in B: window.parent.frames['C'].location.href = "http://random.url";

  • How to get jQuery draggable elements scroll with mb.imageNavigator

    - by bulltorious
I am using jQuery mb.imageNavigator (1.8) from http://pupunzi.open-lab.com/mb-jquery-components/mb-imagenavigator/ to implements a Risk type game adjucation system. Using the imageNavigator plugin I am able to scroll around a large game map of the world. My issue is when I declare some elements as draggable and drag them onto the map image, their location does not stay relative to where in the picture I put them. They just stay fixed on the screen no matter where I scroll. Does anyone know how to make the the draggable elements scroll with the image? Matteo posts about "you can add an additional content layer that overlay image and moves with it" and posts an example, but I can't make it work. <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> ` <head> <script type="text/jscript" src="lib/jquery/jquery-1.3.2.js"> </script> <script type="text/jscript" src="lib/jquery/jquery-ui-1.7.2.custom.min.js"> </script> <script type="text/jscript" src="lib/utilities/mbImgNav.min.js_0.js"> </script> <script type="text/jscript" src="lib/utilities/start.js"> </script> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>New Web Project</title> </head> <body> <div id="AdamsAshTray" style="float:right; background-color:red; z-index:999"> test test test </div> <div id="navArea"> <div imageUrl="someimage" navPosition="BR" navWidth="100" style="display:none;" class="imagesContainer"> <span class="title">zuccheriera</span> <div class="description"> <STRONG>description1</STRONG> </div> </div> </div> </body> $(document).ready(function(){ $("#navArea").imageNavigator({ areaWidth:1820, areaHeight:1000, draggerStyle: "1px dotted red", navOpacity: .8 }) $("#AdamsAshTray").draggable({ grid: [20,20] }); })`

  • How can I easily maintain a cross-file JavaScript Library Development Environment

    - by John
I have been developing a new JavaScript application which is rapidly growing in size. My entire JavaScript Application has been encapsulated inside a single function, in a single file, in a way like this: (function(){ var uniqueApplication = window.uniqueApplication = function(opts){ if (opts.featureOne) { this.featureOne = new featureOne(opts.featureOne); } if (opts.featureTwo) { this.featureTwo = new featureTwo(opts.featureTwo); } if (opts.featureThree) { this.featureThree = new featureThree(opts.featureThree); } }; var featureOne = function(options) { this.options = options; }; featureOne.prototype.myFeatureBehavior = function() { //Lots of Behaviors }; var featureTwo = function(options) { this.options = options; }; featureTwo.prototype.myFeatureBehavior = function() { //Lots of Behaviors }; var featureThree = function(options) { this.options = options; }; featureThree.prototype.myFeatureBehavior = function() { //Lots of Behaviors }; })(); In the same file after the anonymous function and execution I do something like this: (function(){ var instanceOfApplication = new uniqueApplication({ featureOne:"dataSource", featureTwo:"drawingCanvas", featureThree:3540 }); })(); Before uploading this software online I pass my JavaScript file, and all it's dependencies, into Google Closure Compiler, using just the default Compression, and then I have one nice JavaScript file ready to go online for production. This technique has worked marvelously for me - as it has created only one global footprint in the DOM and has given me a very flexible framework to grow each additional feature of the application. However - I am reaching the point where I'd really rather not keep this entire application inside one JavaScript file. I'd like to move from having one large uniqueApplication.js file during development to having a separate file for each feature in the application, featureOne.js - featureTwo.js - featureThree.js Once I have completed offline development testing, I would then like to use something, perhaps Google Closure Compiler, to combine all of these files together - however I want these files to all be compiled inside of that scope, as they are when I have them inside one file - and I would like for them to remain in the same scope during offline testing too. I see that Google Closure Compiler supports an argument for passing in modules but I haven't really been able to find a whole lot of information on doing something like this. Anybody have any idea how this could be accomplished - or any suggestions on a development practice for writing a single JavaScript Library across multiple files that still only leaves one footprint on the DOM?

  • Data store for capturing votes & aggregating them

    - by Nathan de Vries
I'm interested in using Node.js as a socket server for stream-based communication with tens of thousands of clients. Clients will be sending votes for particular pieces of content, and receiving near-realtime updates of aggregated vote tallies from the server. The datastore needs to support: Storing the votes Summarising the votes in near-realtime Preventing multiple votes within an arbitrary time period (e.g. clients can only vote once for a piece of content every 1 minute) Something that already has client libraries for Node.js would be preferable.

  • Issues loading SWF with External SWF Files - using SWFObject and ExternalInterface

    - by wdense51
I'm having issues with loading a SWF that references external SWF files... The main SWF loads fine if the HTML file is in the same folder as all the SWFs using the following code: <script type="text/javascript" src="../js/swfobject.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var flashvars = {}; var params = { allowScriptAccess: "always" }; params.quality = "high"; params.wmode = "transparent"; var attributes = {id:"IDofSWF", name:"IDofSWF"}; swfobject.embedSWF("event_so_js.swf", "flashContent", "700", "400", "7.0.0", false, flashvars, params, attributes);</script> </head> <body> <div id="flashContent"> <object data="event_so_js.swf" name="IDofSWF" id="IDofSWF" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="700" height="400"></object></div> But as soon as I move the HTML file out of that folder to the root folder and update the links, it doesn't load correctly - it seems that it's having trouble with the external SWF files. I did have it successfully load one of the external SWF files directly, but it's having trouble with the main SWF. All of the SWF files are in the same folder, so I don't know why it's having issues. Here's the code for the HTML file when it's in the root folder: <script type="text/javascript" src="js/swfobject.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var flashvars = {}; var params = { allowScriptAccess: "always" }; params.quality = "high"; params.wmode = "transparent"; var attributes = {id:"IDofSWF", name:"IDofSWF"}; swfobject.embedSWF("folio/event_so_js.swf", "flashContent", "700", "400", "9.0.0", false, flashvars, params, attributes);</script> </head> <body> <div id="flashContent"> <object data="folio/event_so_js.swf" name="IDofSWF" id="IDofSWF" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="700" height="400"></object></div> There is also a link on the page that calls a function in the actionscript using ExternalInterface, so it could be that causing the issues. The code for the link is: <a href="#" onclick="document.getElementById('IDofSWF').clicky()"> Any help would be awesome, because it's really confusing me.

  • Simple Grouping With TableSorter Plugin

    - by HurnsMobile
Im playing around with the Tablesorter plug-in for jQuery and was trying to get a very simple grouping functionality added into it. Using the follow html/js works great until you click sort again and reverse the order. The headers get moved to the bottom of the group when this happens. The following is my (admitedly hacky) attempt at it. • jQuery.getScript: data variable in callback undefined

    - by Hannes
I'm trying to load an external JavaScript using jQuery's getScript(), like this: $.getScript("http://api.recaptcha.net/js/recaptcha_ajax.js", function(data) { window.alert(data); }); but as the alert window shows, the data variable in the callback function is undefined, unlike promised in http://docs.jquery.com/Ajax/jQuery.getScript#urlcallback. Anyone know why this might be? Thanks.

  • Issue converting Sitecore Item[] using ToList<T>

    - by philba888
Working with Sitecore and Linq extensions. I am trying to convert to from an item array to the list using the following piece of code: Item variationsFolder = masterDB.SelectSingleItem(VariationsFolderID.ToString()); List<Item> variationList = variationsFolder.GetChildren().ToList<Item>(); However I keep getting this error whenever I try to build: 'Sitecore.Collections.ChildList' does not contain a definition for 'ToList' and the best extension method overload 'System.Linq.Enumerable.ToList<TSource>(System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable<TSource>)' has some invalid arguments I have the following usings: using System.Linq; using System.Xml.Linq; Am referencing: System.Core I've just copied this code from another location, so it should work fine, can only think that there is something simple (like a reference or something that I am missing).
