  • Confused about theme function calls.

    I've created a content type that has a CCK text field. When I select the text field using the Drupal Themer widget it tells me the last function called was theme_text_formatter_default() , which I found in the CCK text.module It also tells me that it's parents were; content-field.tpl.php < theme_markup < theme_markup < node.tpl.php < page.tpl.php So I assumed that somewhere in the content-field.tpl.php was the function call to theme('text_formatter_default',$element) but it wasn't in there. Just print $item['view'] used to display the content. I searched all the project files for theme('text_formatter_default',$element) and it doesn't exist. I know it's being called by the theme function as I override it in my template.php and it used my overridden function, which would only happen if was using the theme_hook$. Wouldn't it? So how is it being called? It's not that I need to override it. I'm just learning how drupal works and thought I had it sussed until this. Something must be calling it. Also, the function theme_text_formatter_default exists in the theme registry and it's overridable (if that's a word) as I did so in my template.php and it displayed. It's all quite confusing. Any help would be much appreciated

  • Adding property:value pairs from GooglemapsAPI to an existing json/javascript object

    I am trying to create a script that finds the closest store/location to a customer using googlemapsAPI. So I've got a json object which is a collection of store objects. Using Jquery's .each to iterate through that object, I am grabbing the driving time from the customer to each store. If it finds the directions, It copies the duration of the drive which is an object with the time in seconds and a human readable value. That appears to work, however when I try to sort through all of those store objects with the drivetime added, I cannot read the object copied from google. If I console.log the whole object, 'closest_store', It shows the values I'm looking for. When I try to read the values directly via closest_store.driveTime, Firebug is outputting undefined in the console. The datastructure is int[][][] It contains no duplicates The range of integers that are contained in it is defined. Let's say it's 0..1000, the maximal integer is definitely not greater than 10000. Big problem is that this hash function should also be very fast. Is there a way to create such a hash function? Maybe at run time depending on the integer range?

  • C++: Declare static variable in function argument list

    Is there any way at all in C++ to declare a static variable while passing it to a function? I'm looking to use a macro to expand to the expression passed to the function. The expression needs to declare and initialize a static variable on that particular line (based on the filename and line number using FILE and LINE). int foo(int b) { int c = b + 2; return c; } int main() { int a = 3; a = foo(static int h = 2); //<---- see this! cout << a; return 0; } The problem I'm trying to solve is getting the filename and line number with the FILE and LINE macros provided by the preprocessor, but then creating a lookup table with integer keys leading to the FILE, LINE pairs. For example, the key 89 may map to file foo.cpp, line 20. To get this to work, I'm trying to use local static variables, so that they are initialized only once per line execution. The static variable will be initialized by calling a function that calculates the integer key and adds an entry to the lookup table if it is not there. Right now the program uses a message class to send exception information. I'm writing a macro to wrap this class into a new class: WRAPPER_MACRO(old_class_object) will expand to NewClass(old_class_object, key_value). If I add the static variable declaration as a second line right before this, it should work. The problem is that in most places in the code, the old class object is passed as an argument to a function. So the problem becomes declaring and initializing the static variable somehow with the macro, while keeping the existing function calls.

    The reason I'm asking is because I'm getting NullPointerException. I now this is very easy but I'm pretty new programming and find this a bit confusing. So say I have initialized an object in a class and want to access that same object from another class. Like now for instance I'm working on a small Chess game, in my model Game class I have an instance of Board, an object. Board, in turn, has an array of Squares. Square[][]. Game has board, board has Square[][]. Now if I want to access the Square[][] through the object board (in Game) of type Board. Do I just declare a variable with the same name and type or do I have to initialize it again? Board board OR Board board = new Board(); Note, I have already initialized board in the class Game so if I do it again, won't they be two totally different Board objects?

    I developed a C# web application that calls a web-service which returns a base64 encoded array (PDF file). I then convert that array into a UCOMIStream object (I know it is obsolete, but the DLL that I am using requires it as a parameter). I use the following code to do the conversion which works perfectly. I can pass this object to the DLL so that I can print the PDF. This works great on the Webserver, but the requirement is to print it locally.   • How can I find out how much memory an instance of a C++ class consumes?

    Hi, I am developing a Graph-class, based on boost-graph-library. A Graph-object contains a boost-graph, so to say an adjacency_list, and a map. When monitoring the total memory usage of my program, it consumes quite a lot (checked with pmap). Now, I would like to know, how much of the memory is exactly consumed by a filled object of this Graph-class? With filled I mean when the adjacency_list is full of vertices and edges. I found out, that using sizeof() doesn't bring me far. Using valgrind is also not an alternative as there is quite some memory allocation done previously and this makes the usage of valgrind impractical for this purpose. I'm also not interested in what other parts of the program cost in memory, I want to focus on one single object. Thank you.

  • CakePHP delete() function is not working

    Hello, Im just cracking open cakePHP (v1.3.2). I set it up on my local wamp server, seems to work fine except the delete() function doesn't work. I'm following their blog tutorial exactly, its as simple as it can be so I don't understand why its not working. Heres the function in my PostsController class: function delete($id = NULL) { $this->Post->delete($id); $this->Session->setFlash('The post with id: '.$id.' has been deleted.'); $this->redirect(array('action'=>'index')); } The "Delete" link's url looks like http://localhost/posts/delete/id:1 (where the id number matches the particular post, obviously). It redirects and sets the flash message, however there is no number where $id should be in the message, and the post isn't deleted. It seems the proper id is passed through the url, but I don't think it is getting into the function. I dont get it. Any ideas???

Like so: logger.Verify(Function(x) x.Log, Times.AtLeastOnce) And my logger looks like this: Public Interface ILogger Sub Log() End Interface But with VB this is not possible, because the Log method is a Sub, and thereby does not produce a value. I don't want to change the method to be a function. Whats the cleanest way of working around this limitation and is there any way to wrap the Sub as a Function like the below? logger.Verify(Function(x) ToFunc(AddressOf x.Log)) I have tried this, but i get: Lambda Parameter not in scope
