• How to fix Fullscreen focus error in Unity?

  Recently, I've been experiencing an error with programs that have a fullscreen mode with low resolution (80xx600 and below) in Unity. The problem isn't valid in gnomeshell. Whenever I launch an application, unity would enlarge the screen more than it should be and would only show me the upper left corner of the screen (I only see a magnified quarter of the screen). At first I thought that it was an issue related to wine but I later found out that native applications (such as world of goo) are affected as well. Apps that taken on the full screen but have a larger resolution don't face such an issue. Is it possible to get this fixed manually? Or do I have to wait for updates?

  Is it considered an overkill for console application to be design like MVC , MVP or N tier architecture? If not which is more common and if you can link me to simple example of it. I want to implement a tic tac toe game in console application. I have a solution which hold two projects: TicTacToeBusinessLogic (Class library project) and TicTacToeConsoleApplication (Console application project) to represent the view logic. In the TicTacToeConsoleApplication I've Program.cs class which holds the main entry point (public static void Main). Now I face a problem. I want the game to handle its own game flow so I can: Create new GameManager class (from BL) but this causing the view to directly know the BL part. So I'm a little confused how to write it in an acceptable way. Should I use delegates? Please show me a simple example.

  I developed an application using Windows Form in C++ (IDE MSVC 2010). Some part of application also has MFC, and OpenCv. I want to send the application to my cleint for interim testing on his own machine. I have not developed any installer for the same, and so I will be sending him the.EXE file. I want that the client should not face any difficulty in replicating the experiment, and thus saves his time. Can somebody suggest me what all softwares(such as, MSVC, .NET Framework, Windows SDK etc) should already be installed on the client's machine for successfull testing of the application? Note: OS (Windows 7) and hardware is exactly same at both sides.

• How to solve cyclic dependencies in a visitor pattern

  When programming at work we now and then face a problem with visitors and module/project dependencies. Say you have a class A in a module X. And there are subclasses B and C in module Y. That means that module Y is dependent on module X. If we want to implement a visitor pattern to the class hierarchy, thus introducing an interface with the handle Operations and an abstract accept method in A, we get a dependency from module Y to module X, which we cannot allow for architectural reasons. What we do is, use a direct comparison of the types (i.e. instanceof, since we program in Java), which is not satisfying. My question(s) would be: Do you encounter this kind of problem in your daily work (or do we make poor architectural choices) and if so, how is your approach to solve this?

Ce langage reste le plus performant et sans conteste ! Présenté au Scala Days en début de mois, un benchmark met en compétition le C++, Java, Scala et GO pour l'implémentation du même algorithme en cherchant à s'appuyer sur les éléments du langage (pas de Boost ici donc). Et C++ remporte haut la main en temps d'exécution mais aussi en empreinte mémoire. Mieux, contrairement à certaines idées reçues, les temps de compilation ou le nombre de ligne de code restent à des valeurs qui n'ont pas à rougir face à Java par exemple....

D'autres existent, dotés notamment de six coeurs (ou plus), mais ils sont assez chers et plutôt destinés à des usages professionnels dans des serveurs ayant un grand nombre de charges de travail à traiter en parallèle. Plus il y a de coeurs, plus il y a de rapidité, si tant est que les programmes en face puissent tirer tout l'avantage de cette puissance. Généralement, les serveurs utilisant ce type de puces les lient ensemble en un gros cluster. AMD amène donc sur le marché un processeur encore plus puissant, doté de 12 coeurs.
