  • Add newlines to a text resource in Android?

    I have a custom Dialog that contains only a TextView to display some text in my application. The documentation lists that only the b, i, u, tt, big, small, sup, sub, and strike tags are supported. I really need to add some newlines for readability. Do I need to change to a more complicated layout, or is there some way to encode newlines in the resource? I tried adding br tags, but that did not help.

    I tried to change the "List of Listings" text with the command \renewcommand*{\lstlistlistingname}{List of XYZ} before my \begin{document}. What's wrong with this? By the way \renewcommand*{\lstlistingname}{NewListing} worked like a charm. Thank you

  • FTP a text file to a server using VBA in Excel

    I have an Excel worksheet where the user enters certain data, which I want to store in a text file and upload to a server using FTP. One site suggested adding a reference to "Microsoft Internet Transfer Control" and then define an "Inet" object to do the FTP. However, I am unable to find a reference with this name in "Tools - References" in the VB Editor. Does anyone know of a solution for this problem? Thanks in advance.

    Hi everyone, I want to parse a text file, where I get numbers that are between parenthesis like this: 1 2 3 (4 - 7) 8 9 1 3 8 (7 - 8) 2 1 1 2 (8 - 10) 3 2 should return an array for each: array1: 4 7 8 array2: 7 8 10 I am thinking of using split for each line, like line.split("("), but that doesn't quite doing the trick..     I'm looking for the easiest way to sort an array that consists of numbers and text, and a combination of these. E.g. '123asd' '19asd' '12345asd' 'asd123' 'asd12' turns into '19asd' '123asd' '12345asd' 'asd12' 'asd123' This is going to be used in combination with the solution to another question I've asked here. The sorting function in itself works, what I need is a function that can say that that '19asd' is smaller than '123asd'. I'm writing this in JavaScript.

  • IContextMenu::GetCommandString Not showing help text in Windows Explorer

    Hi, i am implementing a shell context menu for windows explorer and have successfully created the menu's. What i am having trouble with is the IContextMenu::GetCommandString method that displays the help text in the status bar when you hover over the selected menu item. When i do hover over each item nothing is displayed, but whats weird is that some of the other items that i didnt create, eg - open, or print have had their help text turned into garbage..     Whenever I add a layer for Core Animation either from the nib or programatically, the NSTextFields (labels) in my interface get messed up. Here's a screenshot from Apple's BasicCocoaAnimations example. (Look at the text fields on the left, somehow they're drawn sharper than normal) Note that if I add a layer in IB then it also gets messed up in IB itself before I even run my app.
