  • Why can't my pc and iPhone find each other via Bluetooth?

    I've got Bluetooth enabled on both the computer and the iPhone, and both devices can see my Bluetooth headset so this confirms that Bluetooth itself works. But when I let either device look for other devices, they find nothing (when the headset is off). I'm using 11.10 with all the latest updates. I have not installed any special or additional Bluetooth software; only whatever Ubuntu provides by default.

  • What are known approaches to graphing algebraic expressions?

    I am planning to build an expression parser that will be used to graph algebraic functions ( think TI-83 ) with JavaScript. Functions will take the form of f(x)= Aside from typical operators such as: + - * / ^ I'd also like to add support for inline functions such as: sin(), cos(), log() and random(). I have looked at implementing the Shunting Yard algorithm for parsing expressions, but it does not look like an efficient approach to evaluating a function with a hundreds or thousands of inputs. What other known algorithms exist for this task?

    I decided to add to my game few trees, I already quake 3 model loader (md3) its for characters and method for texture drawing is store in *.ini file. I found a package of trees in MD3 and I have no problem with loading model alone, but there is a *.shader file and i have no idea how to load it to draw texture properly.     i have tried to look up many ways to sync up my wiimotes to my computer so that i can program games with it, but every time it only syncs them up temporarily, or if it says it can permanently sync it, it doesn't actually do it. it gets tiresome when i have to keep on reconnecting it every time i want to save battery life. how would i be able to sync up my wiimote to my computer so that if i turn off my wiimote, i can just hit any button and it will automatically sync it up?
