  • Live Folder: browser intent error

    - by MrSnowflake
    I'm trying to make a Live Folder with URIs. The intent I set to the Live Folder items is an Intent{Intent.ACTION_VIEW, Uri.parse(url)}. I have verified url is indeed http://www.google.com (for testing purposes). But when I click the item in the live folder I get an error message: "Application is not installed on your phone." I guess I'm missing something, but I have no idea how to make the browser launch.

  • HTML5 Web Storage Cleared when Browser Clear Cache?

    - by jiewmeng
    i wonder if HTML5 Web Storage will be cleared when browser clears its cache? if it did, many ppl like me may lose data if i accidentally clear cache? or like in this comment ... Since HTML5 local storage is kept separate from js cookies (like Silverlight, Gears, Flash), it opens up a world of 3rd party privacy issues for HTML5 as these objects will likely NOT get deleted with a clear cache or delete temporary data ... where web storage is not cleared, but leads to privacy issues?

  • Why is the event object different coming from jquery bind vs. addEventListener

    - by yodaisgreen
    Why is it when I use the jQuery bind the event object I get back is different from the event object I get back using addEventListener? The event object resulting from this jQuery bind does not have the targetTouches array (among other things) but the event from the addEventListener does. Is it me or is something not right here? $(document).ready (function () { $("#test").bind("touchmove", function (event) { console.log(event.targetTouches[0].pageX); // targetTouches is undefined }); }); vs. $(document).ready (function () { var foo = document.querySelectorAll('#test') foo[0].addEventListener('touchmove', function (event) { console.log(event.targetTouches[0].pageX); // returns the correct values }, false); });

    I am trying to make it so that the user is prompted to confirm exiting my program in c#, but for some reason, if they say "yes" they would like to exit, the confirmation box would pop up again. I can't figure out why. if (MessageBox.Show("Are you sure you want to exit?", "Confirm exit", MessageBoxButtons.YesNo, MessageBoxIcon.Question) == DialogResult.No) { e.Cancel = true; } else { Application.Exit(); }

  • Seemingly normal link does not work in MVC, IIS5, SparkView.

    - by Matt W
    I have a regular link being generated in MVC1.0 as: /Login/Logout This link does not work. The code for it is: <a href="${Links.Logout}" class="SignOut">Sign out</a> As I am using SparkView. I am using IIS5.1 on WinXP Pro. I cannot work out why the link on the page calls the MVC action if I open the link in a separate browser tab but not when I click directly on it in the original page. This feels like a browser bug (Chrome, Firefox, IE8) but they all perform the same way. Thanks, Matt.

  • How to modify web page elements loaded in a browser

    - by Trilok
    I want to associate some actions with keys (of a keyboard) and then modify the contents of a webpage loaded in the browser. For example, I'll write a firefox plugin and that would be listening to some keyboard events. Based on a key press (or something like that) I want to modify the html code of the page. For example, I would like to change the color of a link. Any suggestions on how can I go about doing this?

  • bind event handler on keydown listen function JavaScript jQuery

    - by user1644123
    I am trying to bind a handler to an event. The event is a keydown function. The handler will listen for hit variables to produce one of two conditions. The 1st condition (odd number of hits) will perform 1 function, the 2nd (even number of hits) will perform another function. To elaborate, the 1st function will scroll to one element, the 2nd will scroll to another element. My syntax may be the wrong approach, but it works for the 1st condition, but not the 2nd. I think I have the conditional statement in the wrong place. How can I rewrite this to work as intended? Thank you kindly, in advance! $(document).keydown(function(e) { switch (e.which) { case 37: break; case 38: break; case 39: break; case 40: //bottom arrow key var hits = 0; if (hits % 2 !== 0) { $('#wrap').animate({ scrollTop: $("#scrollToHere").offset().top }, 2800); } else { $('#wrap').animate({ scrollTop: $("#scroll2ToHere").offset().top }, 2800); } hits++; return false; break; } })? *I moved "var hits = 0;" to the top, but it only works! But is there a way I can reset the whole thing after every two hits? I want to reset because when there is a bug and if I press a 3rd time it scrolls to the very top of the page, where there is no element to make it scroll to the top. Why would it scroll to the top of the page if I never scripted it to do so?? *

  • How to make jquery hover event fire repeatedly.

    - by clinthorner
    I have a infinite carousel that I want to move when I hover over the next and previous buttons. Right now hover only fires this once. I want the carousel to continue moving while the mouse is within the next or previous buttons. Any Suggestions? jQuery.fn.carousel = function(previous, next, options){ var sliderList = jQuery(this).children()[0]; if (sliderList) { var increment = jQuery(sliderList).children().outerWidth("true"), elmnts = jQuery(sliderList).children(), numElmts = elmnts.length, sizeFirstElmnt = increment, shownInViewport = Math.round(jQuery(this).width() / sizeFirstElmnt), firstElementOnViewPort = 1, isAnimating = false; for (i = 0; i < shownInViewport; i++) { jQuery(sliderList).css('width',(numElmts+shownInViewport)*increment + increment + "px"); jQuery(sliderList).append(jQuery(elmnts[i]).clone()); } jQuery(previous).hover(function(event){ if (!isAnimating) { if (firstElementOnViewPort == 1) { jQuery(sliderList).css('left', "-" + numElmts * sizeFirstElmnt + "px"); firstElementOnViewPort = numElmts; } else { firstElementOnViewPort--; } jQuery(sliderList).animate({ left: "+=" + increment, y: 0, queue: true }, "swing", function(){isAnimating = false;}); isAnimating = true; } }); jQuery(next).hover(function(event){ if (!isAnimating) { if (firstElementOnViewPort > numElmts) { firstElementOnViewPort = 2; jQuery(sliderList).css('left', "0px"); } else { firstElementOnViewPort++; } jQuery(sliderList).animate({ left: "-=" + increment, y: 0, queue: true }, "swing", function(){isAnimating = false;}); isAnimating = true; } }); } };

  • Editing a BrowserField's History

    - by Woody
    I have a BrowserField in my app, which works great. It intercept NavigationRequests to links on my website which go to external sites, and brings up a new windows to display those in the regular Browser, which also works great. The problem I have is that if a user clicks a link to say "www.google.com", my app opens that up in a new browser, but also logs it into the BrowserHistory. So if they click back, away from google, they arrive back at my app, but then if they hit back again, the BrowserHistory would land them on the same page they were on (Because going back from Google doesn't move back in the history) I've tried to find a way to edit the BrowserField's BrowserHistory, but this doesn't seem possible. Short of creating my own class for logging the browsing history, is there anything I can do? If I didn't do a good job explaining the problem, don't hesitate for clarification. Thanks

  • Attaching an event to an Iframe that contains more iframes

    - by Oscar Godson
    I have an editor which is in my window that contains a wrapping iframe and then 2 more iframes inside like (the HTML inside the <iframe> element is inserted via write() in JS, not hardcoded like this): <iframe class="parent"> <div class="wrapper"> <iframe class="editor"></iframe> <iframe class="previewer"></iframe> </div> </iframe> One is an editor, the other is a previewer. The first one that contains the two (we'll call this the parent) has an eventListener for mousemove attached to it, but nothing is firing. If i add a 5px border for example, the event will fire when I move my mouse on the border of the parent, but not when i hover over the middle which contains the editor or previewer (previewer is display:none while the editor is visible, and vice versa). So, the blue area in the following i can mousemove, but the rest I can't. It's most likely because of the stacking order, but how can I attach an event to fire on the entire frame? I need mousemove because on mousemove I display a menu in the bottom right. I want the same menu to display whether or not the editor or the previewer is visible.

  • Cross-Browser CSS3 Rule

    - by Alexander Corotchi
    I have a stupid question, If I want to add round corner for an element in browsers which support some stuff of CSS3, I have to repeat style several time for each browser, because it is different ? For ex : -moz-border-radius: 12px; /* FF1+ */ -webkit-border-radius: 12px; /* Saf3+, Chrome */ border-radius: 12px; /* Opera 10.5, IE 9 */ It means, that I have to add 3 styles for this radius border, doesn't it ?
