  • Question - Setting dynamic HTML using Javascript to iFrames on Windows Mobile 6.1 - IE Mobile6

    Hi Experts, (excuse me if this is not the right forum to post - i couldn't find anything related to non-native programming and related to this topic) I Am trying to set a dynamic HTML into an iFrame on the webpage. I have tried a couple of things but none of them seem to work. I m able to read the innerHTML but can't seem to update it. // Able to read using document.getElementById('iFrameIdentifier').innerHTML; // On Desktop IE, this code works document.getElementById('iFrameId').contentWindow.document.open(); document.getElementById('iFrameId').contentWindow.document.write(dynamicHTML); document.getElementById('iFrameId').contentWindow.document.close(); Ideally the same function should work as how it works for div's but it says 'Object doesn't support this method or property". I have also tried document.getElementById('iFrameId').document.body.innerHTML. This apparently replaces the whole HTML of the page and not just the innerHTML. I have tried out a couple of things and they didn't work document.getElementById('iFrameId').body.innerHTML document.frames[0].document.body.innerHTML My purpose is to have a container element which can contain dynamic HTML that's set to it. I've been using it well till now when I observed that the setting innerHTML on a div is taking increasing amount of time because of the onClicks or other JS methods that are attached to the anchors and images in the dynamic HTML. Appears the JS methods or the HTML is some how not getting cleaned up properly (memory leak?)   • Flex Datagrid editing cells in same row not firing collection change event

    Hi, I am using the flex datagrid to allow the user to edit some data. My update process relies on a CollectionEvent of type update. Basically I catch this event package the values and update the database. However, if the user edits a cell then moves to edit a cell in the same row the value is updated but a collection event is not fired. Only when clicking out of the row the event is fired. Has anyone had experience with this. I have heard the datagrid is a little quirky is this one of those quirks or am I doing this all wrong? Any help appreciated.

My question is, a. Will reading through the DataAdapter create any problems later on, when I am working with BLOBS? More, specifically, will it read the BLOB properly? b. This was the read part.Now when I am writing the BLOB to the DB,its a queue actually. I.e I am trying to store a queue in MySQLite using a BLOB. Will Conn.ExecuteNonQuery() serve my purpose? c. When I am reading the BLOB back from the DB, can I edit it as the original datatype, it used to be in C# environment i.e { Queue - BLOB - ? } {C# -MySQL - C# } So in this context, Date field was a queue, I wrote it back as a BLOB, when reading it back, can I access it(and edit) as a queue?     I work in a large team, and not everybody has upgraded from VS 2008 to VS 2010, though I have. I have a maintenance bug in a VS 2008 project, and have been told that I cannot upgrade the project file. Is there a way for me to make the changes I need to make within VS10 without upgrading the project (including compiling, using the debugger, etc.), or do I need to re-install VS 2008?

    In my Cocoa program, I want to examine what programs are registered to run at startup and modify that list as I feel appropriate. In order to be compatible with Tiger it seems like I need to work through AppleScript. I currently have the following code: NSDictionary* errorDict; NSAppleEventDescriptor* returnDescriptor = NULL; NSString *appleSource = @"tell application \"System Events\"\n\ get every login item\n\ end tell"; NSAppleScript *appleScript = [[NSAppleScript alloc] initWithSource: appleSource]; returnDescriptor = [appleScript executeAndReturnError: &errorDict]; If I run that command in AppleScript, I get back an array of login items. However, I can't figure out how to iterate through this array in Objective-C. More specifically, I want to examine the names and paths of the programs registered to run at startup. Any ideas?

    Hi, I am trying to display a JLabel which has a few lines of text and an image as follows: String html = "<html> hello </br> <img src = \"/absolute/path/here\" height = \"30\" width =\"40\"/> </html>"; JLabel l = new JLabel(html); For the image all I get is a broken image, is it possible to nest img tags inside a JLabel? EDIT: I want to add multiple images to the JLabel so I don't think the use of an ImageIcon will do here. Thanks

  • On-screen keyboard not appearing when editing text fields in a UIWebView

    I have a web view which displays a simple login form, containing username and password fields. However when the user clicks in one of the text fields, although the cursor appears in the text field, the on-screen keyboard does not appear. I've tried registering for UIKeyboardWillShowNotifications notifications and I see this notification arrive, however the keyboard doesn't actually appear on the screen. I've also tried sending the web view to the back of the view hierarchy and changing it's frame so it doesn't occupy the whole screen. However neither of these measures have solved the problem. What would people recommend trying next?

  • CKEDITOR - Is there anyway to prevent formatting code in SOURCE mode?

    I've spent the good portion of my day trying to figure this out, and I figured I'd finally just give in and ask. How can you prevent ANY automatic formatting when in SOURCE mode? I like to edit HTML source code directly instead of using the WYSIWYG interface, but whenever I write new lines, or layout tags how I would indent them, it all gets formatted when I switch to WYSIWYG mode and then back to SOURCE mode again. I stumbled upon this earlier: http://dev.fckeditor.net/ticket/993 That alluded to a setting which may have existed once upon a time which would be exactly what I'm after. I just want to know how I can completely turn off all automatic formatting when editing in SOURCE mode. After browsing this site for hours on end and finding absolutely nothing on here or on Google, I came up with a solution I thought would be foolproof (albeit not a pleasant one). I learned about the "protectedSource" setting, so I thought, well maybe I can just use that and create an HTML comment tag before all my HTML and another after it and then push a regular expression finding the comment tags into the protectedSource array, but even that (believe it or not) doesn't work. I've tried my expression straight up in the browser outside of CKEDITOR and it is working, but CKEDITOR doesn't protect the code as expected (which I suspect is a bug involving comment tags, since I can get it to work with other strings). In case you are wondering, this is what I had hoped would work as a work-around, but doesn't: config.protectedSource.push( /<!-- src -->[\s\S]*<!-- end src-->/gi ); .. and what I planned on doing (for what appears to be the lack of a setting to disable formatting in SOURCE mode) was to nest all my HTML within the commented tags like this: <!-- src --> <div>some code that shouldn't be messed with (but is)</div> <!-- end src --> I'd love to hear if you anyone has any suggestions for this scenario, or knows of a setting which I have described, or even if someone can just fill me in as to why I can't get protectedSource to work properly with two comment tags. I really thing it's gotta be a bug because I can get so many other expressions to work fine, and I can even protect HTML within the area of a single comment tag, but I simply cannot get HTML within two different comment tags to stay untouched. :( I've wasted about 6-7 hours on this so far today so if anyone can shed any light on it I would be very grateful!     In bash, when I go back in history, edit some command and run it, this edited command is appended to history and the original one is left intact. But every once in a while I somehow manage to affect the original command, i.e. my edit replaces the original command back in history. I can't put my finger on how this happens. Can someone explain? My goal is to avoid this, so any edit to a previous command always gets appended to history and never replaces the original.

  • Editing a labels text value through JavaScript in VB ASP.NET

    I have a simple form containing two text boxes, I am attempting to apply some validation to the first text box using JavaScript. This is the first time I have attempted this and am having some trouble. I have a label beside the text box stating an error, this labels visibility property is set to False. I wish the labels visibility to turn true if the text box is empty when the user loses focus. For this I have used the onBlur option within the tags of the text box. It then calls the JavaScript function and should set the label to Visible but it does not. I have tested to see if it is entering the function by using an alert instead and that works. The problem seems to be trying to alter the visibility property of the label. Here is the portion of my code: The JavaScript: function myRegEx(frm) { if ( boxUsername.value == "" ) { invalidUser.visible = True; return false; } } The form: <asp:TextBox onblur="return myRegEx(this)" id="boxUsername" runat="server" Width="200px"></asp:TextBox> <asp:Label id="invalidUser" runat="server" visible="False" forecolor="Red" text="* Username must be alphanumeric with no special characters"></asp:Label> Any help would be brilliant.

But is passed to the controller when saving. The way it's set up is this grid will only have 1 horse id at a time (it will exist on a horse's property page.) The only time I've gotten anything to work is when I made it editable, but then that opens it up for the user to modify the id, which isn't a good idea. So is there some way I can set this value before submitting the data? it does exist as a variable on this page, if that helps any (and I've checked that it isn't null). Thanks

  • jQuery - script tags in the HTML are parsed out by jQuery and not executed

    I have an HTML page like so: <html> <body> <div id='something'> ... <script> var x = 'hello world'; </script> ... </div> </body> </html> On another page, I am doing this: $.ajax({ url: 'example.html', type: 'GET', success: function(data) { $('#mydiv').html($(data).find('#something').html()); alert(x); } }); jQuery, however, is not executing the javascript in the first file, even though the documentation says it does. How can I make it do that? EDIT: Unfortunately in the real world application I am working on I don't have control over what the "included" page has. We are on the same domain, but I can't modify the code that it outputs as it is a packaged product our IT department will not let us modify.

  • Does Google submit HTML forms?

    I have a web page, say http://domain/purchase and in this page, I have a web form. User, on submitting this form (which has validation, both client-side and server side and won't be validated until fields are filled appropriately), would be redirected to another page, where (s)he can choose other things, and specify other settings and then purchase our product. Say the second page is http://domain/options. So, user comes to our site and visits http://domain/purchase, fills the form, submits it, and then would be redirected to the second page, http://doamin/options?parameter1=value1&parameter2=value2, which contains parameters from the first page. This is very common in passing parameters between web pages (or technically, between URLs). Now I was reviewing my website, and saw that Google had indexed some of my redirected web pages and URLs, like: http://domain/options?parameter1=value1&parameter2=value2 http://domain/options?parameter1=value3&parameter2=value4 http://domain/options?parameter1=value5&parameter2=value6 http://domain/options?parameter1=value7&parameter2=value8 http://domain/options?parameter1=value9&parameter2=value10 This means that Google Bot has visited our http://domain/purchase page, and has filled our form, and has submitted it, and was being redirected to the other URL, with corresponding parameters. This is the only way that makes sense to me. Does Google really fills forms? PS: All parameters are meaningful, meaning that they are not filled arbitrarily. For example, the phone parameter in indexed pages has correct phone numbers. How is it possible?

  • Collaborative text editing in a web application

    I have a group of writers around the world all trying to work on one story. I want them to be able to work with each other like they would on google documents, but from within our application. Specifically, being able to see who else is working on the document and what they are changing in real time. Something like an embedded etherpad. Are there any good solutions out in the wild? Im sure building something like this would be a significant project.

    In manual hunk edit mode, the docs say this: # To remove '-' lines, make them ' ' lines (context). # To remove '+' lines, delete them. # Lines starting with # will be removed. What I don't understand is how to remove '-' lines. Say if I had had this bit of code: Alfa Bejta And I've edited it in my working tree to: Alpha Beta The diff is: - Alfa - Bejta + Alpha + Beta How do I edit the hunk to only commit the modifications to the first line? I've tried these: - Alfa Bejta + Alpha - Alfa + Alpha Bejta to no avail.
