  • How to remove the "button" effect for a menu item (WPF)

    - by Sorin Comanescu
    Hi, When the mouse is over a menu item (first level) it displays a 3D button effect. How can this be removed? Thanks. EDIT: Tried <Style TargetType="MenuItem"> <Style.Triggers> <Trigger Property="IsMouseOver" Value="True"> <Setter Property="BorderBrush" Value="Transparent"> <Setter Property="BorderThickness" Value="0"> </Trigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> with no effect. The menu XAML: <Window x:Class="UCWPF.Window3" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:conv="clr-namespace:UCWPF.Converters" Title="Window3" Height="600" Width="600" Background="{StaticResource WindowBackgroundBrush}" > <StackPanel Style="{StaticResource WindowContainerStyle}"> <Menu> <MenuItem Header="New" Icon="{StaticResource ImageExport}" /> <MenuItem Header="Open" Icon="{StaticResource ImageOpen}" /> <MenuItem Header="Save" Icon="{StaticResource ImageSave}" /> <MenuItem Header="Export" Icon="{StaticResource ImageExport}" /> </Menu> ... And here's the screenshot:

  • How to avoid using the plld.exe utility in VS2008 (for linking C++ and Prolog codes)

    - by Joshua Green
    Here is my code in its entirety: Trying "listing." at the Prolog prompt that pops up when I run the program confirms that my Prolog source code has been loaded (consulted). #include <iostream> #include <fstream> #include <string> #include <math.h> #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <stdafx.h> using namespace std; #include "Windows.h" #include "ctype.h" #include "SWI-cpp.h" #include "SWI-Prolog.h" #include "SWI-Stream.h" int main(int argc, char** argv) { argc = 4; argv[0] = "libpl.dll"; argv[1] = "-G32m"; argv[2] = "-L32m"; argv[3] = "-T32m"; PL_initialise(argc, argv); if ( !PL_initialise(argc, argv) ) PL_halt(1); PlCall( "consult(swi('plwin.rc'))" ); PlCall( "consult('hello.pl')" ); PL_halt( PL_toplevel() ? 0 : 1 ); } So this is how to load a Prolog source code (hello.pl) at run time into VS2008 without having to use plld at the VS command prompt.

  • Cann Boost Program_options separate comma separated argument values

    - by lrm
    If my command line is: > prog --mylist=a,b,c Can Boost's program_options be setup to see three distinct argument values for the mylist argument? I have configured program_options as: namespace po = boost::program_options; po::options_description opts("blah") opts.add_options() ("mylist", std::vector<std::string>>()->multitoken, "description"); po::variables_map vm; po::store(po::parse_command_line(argc, argv, opts), vm); po::notify(vm); When I check the value of the mylist argument, I see one value as a,b,c. I'd like to see three distinct values, split on comma. This works fine if I specify the command line as: > prog --mylist=a b c or > prog --mylist=a --mylist=b --mylist=c Is there a way to configure program_options so that it sees a,b,c as three values that should each be inserted into the vector, rather than one? I am using boost 1.41, g++ 4.5.0 20100520, and have enabled c++0x experimental extensions.

  • How to do binding programmically?

    - by user175908
    Hello, Could anyone identify the problem in this code? (I'm kinda newbie in WPF bindings.) Now no error occur but chart looks completely blank (no columns) Update: Code now looks like this: // create a very simple DataSet var dataSet = new DataSet("MyDataSet"); var table = dataSet.Tables.Add("MyTable"); table.Columns.Add("Name"); table.Columns.Add("Price"); table.Rows.Add("Brick", 1.5d); table.Rows.Add("Soap", 4.99d); table.Rows.Add("Comic Book", 0.99d); // chart series var series = new ColumnSeries() { IndependentValueBinding = new Binding("[Name]"), // How to deal with DependentValueBinding = new Binding("[Price]"), // these two? ItemsSource = dataSet.Tables[0].DefaultView // or maybe I do mistake here? }; // ---------- set additional binding as adviced ------------------ series.SetBinding(ColumnSeries.ItemsSourceProperty, new Binding()); // chart stuff MyChart.Series.Add(series); MyChart.Title = "Names 'n Prices"; // some code to remove legend var style = new Style(typeof(Control)); style.Setters.Add(new Setter(LegendItem.TemplateProperty, null)); MyChart.LegendStyle = style; XAML: <Window x:Class="BindingzTest.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="MainWindow" Height="606" Width="988" xmlns:charting="clr-namespace:System.Windows.Controls.DataVisualization.Charting;assembly=System.Windows.Controls.DataVisualization.Toolkit"> <Grid Name="LayoutRoot"> <charting:Chart Name="MyChart" Margin="0,0,573,0" Height="289" VerticalAlignment="Top" /> <Button Content="Button" Height="23" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="272,361,0,0" Name="button1" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="75" Click="chart1_Loaded" /> </Grid> Thanks for help in advance once more.

  • Consulting a Prolog Source Code from within a VS2008 Solution File

    - by Joshua Green
    I have a Prolog file (Hanoi.pl) containing the code for solving the Hanoi Towers puzzle: hanoi( N ):- move( N, left, middle, right ). move( 0, _, _, _ ):- !. move( N, A, B, C ):- M is N-1, move( M, A, C, B ), inform( A, B ), move( M, C, B, A ). inform( X, Y ):- write( 'move a disk from ' ), write( X ), write( ' to ' ), writeln( Y ). I also have a C++ file written in VS2008 IDE: #include <iostream> #include <string> #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> using namespace std; #include "SWI-cpp.h" #include "SWI-Prolog.h" predicate_t phanoi; term_t t0; int main(int argc, char** argv) { long n = 5; int rval; if ( !PL_initialise(1, argv) ) PL_halt(1); PL_put_integer( t0, n ); phanoi = PL_predicate( "hanoi", 1, NULL ); rval = PL_call_predicate( NULL, PL_Q_NORMAL, phanoi, t0 ); system( "PAUSE" ); } How can I consult my Prolog source code (Hanoi.pl) from within my C++ code? Not from the Command Prompt - from the code, something like include or consult or compile? It is located in the same folder as my cpp file. Thanks,

  • zend session exception on zend_session::start with forms

    - by Grant Collins
    Hi I'm having issues with trying to use Zend_Form_SubForm and sessions. My controller is in essance acting a wizard showing different subforms depending on the stage of the wizard. Using the example I am planning on storing the forms in a session namespace. My controller looks like this. include 'mylib/Form/addTaskWizardForm.php'; class AddtaskController extends Zend_Controller_Action{ private $config = null; private $log = null; private $subFormSession = null; /** * This function is called and initialises the global variables to this object * which is the configuration details and the logger to write to the log file. */ public function init(){ $this->config = Zend_Registry::getInstance()->get('config'); $this->log = Zend_Registry::getInstance()->get('log'); //set layout $this->_helper->layout->setLayout('no-sidemenus'); //we need to get the subforms and $wizardForms = new addTaskWizardForm(); $this->subFormSession = new Zend_Session_Namespace('addTaskWizardForms'); if(!isset($this->subFormSession->subforms)){ $this->subFormSession->subforms = $wizardForms; } } /** * The Landing page controller for the site. */ public function indexAction(){ $form = $this->subFormSession->subforms->getSubForm('start'); $this->view->form = $form; } However this is causing the application session to crash out with Uncaught exception 'Zend_Session_Exception' with message 'Zend_Session::start() Any idea why this is having issues with the Zend Session?? thanks.

  • Why my async call does not work?

  • Do COM Dll References Require Manual Disposal? If so, How?

    - by Drew
    I have written some code in VB that verifies that a particular port in the Windows Firewall is open, and opens one otherwise. The code uses references to three COM DLLs. I wrote a WindowsFirewall class, which Imports the primary namespace defined by the DLLs. Within members of the WindowsFirewall class I construct some of the types defined by the DLLs referenced. The following code isn't the entire class, but demonstrates what I am doing. Imports NetFwTypeLib Public Class WindowsFirewall Public Shared Function IsFirewallEnabled as Boolean Dim icfMgr As INetFwMgr icfMgr = CType(System.Activator.CreateInstance(Type.GetTypeFromProgID("HNetCfg.FwMgr")), INetFwMgr) Dim profile As INetFwProfile profile = icfMgr.LocalPolicy.CurrentProfile Dim fIsFirewallEnabled as Boolean fIsFirewallEnabled = profile.FirewallEnabled return fIsFirewallEnabled End Function End Class I do not reference COM DLLs very often. I have read that unmanaged code may not be cleaned up by the garbage collector and I would like to know how to make sure that I have not introduced any memory leaks. Please tell me (a) if I have introduced a memory leak, and (b) how I may clean it up. (My theory is that the icfMgr and profile objects do allocate memory that remains unreleased until after the application closes. I am hopeful that setting their references equal to nothing will mark them for garbage collection, since I can find no other way to dispose of them. Neither one implements IDisposable, and neither contains a Finalize method. I suspect they may not even be relevant here, and that both of those methods of releasing memory only apply to .Net types.)

  • Organizing Eager Queries in an ObjectContext

    - by Nix
    I am messing around with Entity Framework 3.5 SP1 and I am trying to find a cleaner way to do the below. I have an EF model and I am adding some Eager Loaded entities and i want them all to reside in the "Eager" property in the context. We originally were just changing the entity set name, but it seems a lot cleaner to just use a property, and keep the entity set name in tact. Example: Context - EntityType - AnotherType - Eager (all of these would have .Includes to pull in all assoc. tables) - EntityType - AnotherType Currently I am using composition but I feel like there is an easier way to do what I want. namespace Entities{ public partial class TestObjectContext { EagerExtensions Eager { get;set;} public TestObjectContext(){ Eager = new EagerExtensions (this); } } public partial class EagerExtensions { TestObjectContext context; public EagerExtensions(TestObjectContext _context){ context = _context; } public IQueryable<TestEntity> TestEntity { get { return context.TestEntity .Include("TestEntityType") .Include("Test.Attached.AttachedType") .AsQueryable(); } } } } public class Tester{ public void ShowHowIWantIt(){ TestObjectContext context= new TestObjectContext(); var query = from a in context.Eager.TestEntity select a; } }

  • Using C++ DLL in C# project

    - by Frank
    Hello, I got a C++ dll which has to be integrated in a C# project. I think I found the correct way to do it, but calling the dll gives me this error: System.BadImageFormatException: An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B) This is the function in the dll: extern long FAR PASCAL convert (LPSTR filename); And this is the code I'm using in C# namespace Test{ public partial class Form1 : Form { [DllImport("convert.dll", SetLastError = true)] static extern Int32 convert([MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.LPStr)] string filename); private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { // generate textfile string filename = "testfile.txt"; StreamWriter sw = new StreamWriter(filename); sw.WriteLine("line1"); sw.WriteLine("line2"); sw.Close(); // add checksum Int32 ret = 0; try { ret = convert(filename); Console.WriteLine("Result of DLL: {0}", ret.ToString()); } catch (Exception ex) { lbl.Text = ex.ToString(); } } }} Any ideas on how to proceed with this? Thanks a lot, Frank

  • How to install a desktop shortcut (to a batch file) from a WiX-based installer that has "Run as Admi

    - by arathorn
    I'm installing a desktop shortcut (to a batch file) from a WiX-based installer -- how do I automatically configure this shortcut with the "Run as Administrator" setting enabled? The target OS is Windows Server 2008 R2, and the installer is running with elevated priveleges. Update: Thanks to the link provided by @Anders, I was able to get this working. I needed to do this in a C# CustomAction, so here is the C# version of the code: namespace CustomAction1 { public class CustomAction1 { public bool MakeShortcutElevated(string file_) { if (!System.IO.File.Exists(file_)) { return false; } IPersistFile pf = new ShellLink() as IPersistFile; if (pf == null) { return false; } pf.Load(file_, 2 /* STGM_READWRITE */); IShellLinkDataList sldl = pf as IShellLinkDataList; if (sldl == null) { return false; } uint dwFlags; sldl.GetFlags(out dwFlags); sldl.SetFlags(dwFlags | 0x00002000 /* SLDF_RUNAS_USER */); pf.Save(null, true); return true; } } [ComImport(), Guid("00021401-0000-0000-C000-000000000046")] public class ShellLink { } [ComImport(), InterfaceType(ComInterfaceType.InterfaceIsIUnknown), Guid("45e2b4ae-b1c3-11d0-b92f-00a0c90312e1")] interface IShellLinkDataList { void GetFlags(out uint pdwFlags); void SetFlags(uint dwFlags); } }

  • MAPI find the contacts and calendar folder

    - by Rogier21
    In my outlook I have 1 exchange connection and 2 Personal Folders. I want to go fetch ALL items from the calendars and contacts so I use: /** * Create outlook application */ Outlook.Application oApp = new Outlook.Application(); Outlook.NameSpace oNS = oApp.GetNamespace("mapi"); oNS.Logon(Missing.Value, Missing.Value, true, true); /** * Loop through all the folders */ foreach (Outlook.MAPIFolder oFolder in oNS.Folders) { if (oFolder.Name == "Public Folders") { break; } /** * Get calendar items */ //Outlook.MAPIFolder oCalendar = oNS.GetDefaultFolder(Outlook.OlDefaultFolders.olFolderCalendar); Outlook.MAPIFolder oCalendar = oFolder.Folders[5]; Outlook.Items oCalendarItems = oCalendar.Items; //Outlook.MAPIFolder oContacts = oNS.GetDefaultFolder(Outlook.OlDefaultFolders.olFolderContacts); Outlook.MAPIFolder oContacts = oFolder.Folders[7]; Outlook.Items oContactItems = oContacts.Items; But this does not work oFolder.Folders[5] is not always 5 for the calendar, sometimes it's a different value. I cannot find the items by name oFolder.Folders["Calendar"]; because in Dutch the folder will be named "Agenda". Usually I use: Outlook.MAPIFolder oCalendar = oNS.GetDefaultFolder(Outlook.OlDefaultFolders.olFolderCalendar); But then I only get the default calendar. How can I get the other calendars?

  • Xerces C++ SAX Parsing Problem: expected class-name before '{' token

    - by aduric
    I'm trying to run through an example given for the C++ Xerces XML library implementation. I've copied the code exactly, but I'm having trouble compiling it. error: expected class-name before '{' token I've looked around for a solution, and I know that this error can be caused by circular includes or not defining a class before it is used, but as you can see from the code, I only have 2 files: MySAXHandler.hpp and MySAXHandler.cpp. However, the MySAXHandler class is derived from HandlerBase, which is included. MyHandler.hpp #include <xercesc/sax/HandlerBase.hpp> class MySAXHandler : public HandlerBase { public: void startElement(const XMLCh* const, AttributeList&); void fatalError(const SAXParseException&); }; MySAXHandler.cpp #include "MySAXHandler.hpp" #include <iostream> using namespace std; MySAXHandler::MySAXHandler() { } void MySAXHandler::startElement(const XMLCh* const name, AttributeList& attributes) { char* message = XMLString::transcode(name); cout << "I saw element: "<< message << endl; XMLString::release(&message); } void MySAXHandler::fatalError(const SAXParseException& exception) { char* message = XMLString::transcode(exception.getMessage()); cout << "Fatal Error: " << message << " at line: " << exception.getLineNumber() << endl; XMLString::release(&message); } I'm compiling like so: g++ -L/usr/local/lib -lxerces-c -I/usr/local/include -c MySAXHandler.cpp I've looked through the HandlerBase and it is defined, so I don't know why I can't derive a class from it? Do I have to override all the virtual functions in HandlerBase? I'm kinda new to C++. Thanks in advance.

  • How to Declare Complex Nested C# Type for Web Service

    - by TheArtTrooper
    I would like to create a service that accepts a complex nested type. In a sample asmx file I created: [WebService(Namespace = "http://tempuri.org/")] [WebServiceBinding(ConformsTo = WsiProfiles.BasicProfile1_1)] // To allow this Web Service to be called from script, using ASP.NET AJAX, uncomment the following line. // [System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptService] public class ServiceNest : System.Web.Services.WebService { public class Block { [XmlElement(IsNullable = false)] public int number; } public class Cell { [XmlElement(IsNullable = false)] public Block block; } public class Head { [XmlElement(IsNullable = false)] public Cell cell; } public class Nest { public Head head; } [WebMethod] public void TakeNest(Nest nest) { } } When I view the asmx file in IE the test page shows the example SOAP post request as: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"> <soap:Body> <TakeNest xmlns="http://schemas.intellicorp.com/livecompare/"> <nest> <head> <cell> <block xsi:nil="true" /> </cell> </head> </nest> </TakeNest> </soap:Body> </soap:Envelope> It hasn't expanded the <block> into its number member. Looking at the WSDL, the types all look good. So is this just a limitation of the post demo page creator? Thanks.

  • ListBox selector odd behavior when there are dupes

    - by byte1918
    I'm working on a bigger project atm, but I made this simple example to show you what happens.. using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Windows; namespace txt { public partial class MainWindow { public MainWindow() { InitializeComponent(); } private void Window_Loaded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { var obsLst = new List<Info> { new Info { name = "asd" }, new Info { name = "asd" }, new Info { name = "asd" }, new Info { name = "asd" } }; var temp = new List<Info>(); for (var i = 1; i <= 3; i++) { temp.Add(obsLst[0]); //I add 3 of the same item from obsLst to temp } lst.DataContext = temp; //lst = ListBox } } public class Info { public string name { get; set; } } } The ListBox ItemsSource is set to {Binding}.. When I start the application I get 3 txt.Info objects displayed and if I click any of them, 2 or even all of them get selected aswell. From my understanding the problem relies in the fact that the listbox selector cannot differentiate between the items and therefor doesn't know which one I selected. Here's a picture of what it looks like.. I only clicked on the second txt.Info item. I found a solution where someone said that I have to specify the DisplayMemberPath, but I can't really do that in the other project because I have a datatemplate for the object. Any ideas on how I could fix this would be great.. Thx in advance.

  • Piping EOF problems with stdio and C++/Python

    - by yeus
    I got some problems with EOF and stdio. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. When I see an EOF in my program I clear the stdin and next round I try to read in a new line. The problem is: for some reason the getline function immediatly (from the second run always, the first works just as intended) returns an EOF instead of waiting for a new input from py python process... Any idea? alright Here is the code: #include <string> #include <iostream> #include <iomanip> #include <limits> using namespace std; int main(int argc, char **argv) { for (;;) { string buf; if (getline(cin,buf)) { if (buf=="q") break; /*****///do some stuff with input //my actual filter program cout<<buf; /*****/ } else { if ((cin.rdstate() & istream::eofbit)!=0)cout<<"eofbit"<<endl; if ((cin.rdstate() & istream::failbit)!=0)cout<<"failbit"<<endl; if ((cin.rdstate() & istream::badbit)!=0)cout<<"badbit"<<endl; if ((cin.rdstate() & istream::goodbit)!=0)cout<<"goodbit"<<endl; cin.clear(); cin.ignore(numeric_limits<streamsize>::max()); //break;//I am not using break, because I //want more input when the parent //process puts data into stdin; } } return 0; } and in python: from subprocess import Popen, PIPE import os from time import sleep proc=Popen(os.getcwd()+"/Pipingtest",stdout=PIPE,stdin=PIPE,stderr=PIPE); while(1): sleep(0.5) print proc.communicate("1 1 1") print "running"

  • Excel 2010 64 bit can't create .net object

    - by aboes81
    I have a simple class library that I use in Excel. Here is a simplification of my class... using System; using System.Runtime.InteropServices; namespace SimpleLibrary { [ComVisible(true)] public interface ISixGenerator { int Six(); } public class SixGenerator : ISixGenerator { public int Six() { return 6; } } } In Excel 2007 I would create a macro enabled workbook and add a module with the following code: Public Function GetSix() Dim lib As SimpleLibrary.SixGenerator lib = New SimpleLibrary.SixGenerator Six = lib.Six End Function Then in Excel I could call the function GetSix() and it would return six. This no longer works in Excel 2010 64bit. I get a Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object. I tried changing the platform target to x64 instead of Any CPU but then my code wouldn't compile unless I unchecked the Register for COM interop option, doing so makes it so my macro enable workbook cannot see SimpleLibrary.dll as it is no longer regsitered. Any ideas how I can use my library with Excel 2010 64 bit?

  • Adding an ASP.NET Web User Control to a Control Dynamically

    - by RandomBen
    I have a simple ASP.NET Web User Control. It looks like this: <%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="NewsArticle.ascx.cs" Inherits="Website.Controls.NewsArticle" %> <div> <asp:Literal ID="ltlBody" runat="server" /> </div> My code behind looks like this: namespace Website.Controls { public partial class NewsArticle : System.Web.UI.UserControl { public String bodyText { //get { return ltlBody.Text; } set { ltlBody.Text = value; } } } } On a .aspx page I have <asp:Panel ID="pNews" runat="server" /> In the code behind I have: foreach (vwNews news in newsQuery) { NewsArticle article = new NewsArticle(); aticle.bodyText = news.Body; pNews.Controls.Add(article); } Every time I run this code the newsQuery is populated correctly and I get to the line aticle.bodyText = news.Body; and then I received the error article.bodyText threw an exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException' I am not sure what is causing this error message or how to fix it. I would think that there should not be an issue. I tried creating a constructor for my Web User Control so that it would give default values to my properties but that didn't work. Any idea how to make this work? It doesn't seem like it should be that
