  • Very fast Laptop Heating due to very high CPU usage by dwm.exe

    My laptop gets heated very fast and when I check the task manager, I find dwm.exe consuming very high CPU (mostly 100%). In the beginning I found the message "The graphic adapter has been stopped and recovered".Also I am getting one error message "Cidaemon.exe has stopped working" very frequently. During this period also, cpu usage is 100% which is consumed by dwm.exe. I have run ccleaner and Kingsoft PC doctor monitor to fix the register problem but the problem has not been solved. My display adaptor is : NVIDIA NVS 5200M. After the driver update, I am not getting "The graphic adapter has been stopped and recovered" but dwm.exe is still consuming 100% CPU one time in about 5 mins. Multiple restarts has not helped. Laptop Model: Dell Latitude E6430. Thanks in advance.

    I need a command that can be run from the command line to create a folder for each file (based on the file-name) in a directory and then move the file into the newly created folders. Example : Starting Folder: Dog.jpg Cat.jpg The following command works great at creating a folder for each filename in the current working directory. for %i in (*) do md "%~ni" Result Folder: \Dog\ \Cat\ Dog.jpg Cat.jpg I need to take this one step further and move the file into the folder. What I want to achieve is: \Dog\Dog.jpg \Cat\Cat.jpg Can someone help me with one command to do all of this?

  • How to find spyware dll launched using svchost.exe

    This weekend I found my PC was possibly infected by some virus or spyware. There is one "svchost.exe -k netsvcs" in my task manager, and it is running under my user name, rather than SYSTEM accounts. There is already another same process with same command line options under SYSTEM account. This user account svchost.exe consistently consumes 50% CPU (1 of 2 cores of my CPU). In Process Explorer, I can see it is started by explorer.exe, instead of services.exe. However, I failed to find its real service dll place in registry or disk. Does anyone know how to find this malicious program?

    I want to delete all folders starting with "A" letter (including subfolder/files). For example There are three folder in D directory (D:\Air, D:\Abonden, D:\All....) And we need to delete all folders with "A" I try this: == RMDIR D:\A* /s /q <== but I get error :( del command works with * but I dont want to delete only files also I want to delete folders ...     For some reason when I boot my laptop now (winxp), it doesn't start explorer.exe automatically; I'm left with a desktop background and a mouse pointer. I have to run taskman and start explorer.exe manually. Recently I had Spyware Dr. detect a severe threat, and I was wondering if there was anyway to re-hookup explorer.exe on startup.

  • php-cgi.exe Taking out server, multiple running

    I have been using ZendServer CE for over a year and have never had a problem. Recently, about a week or two ago I have found my server to be acting up and even causing RDP to be un-connectable. After some looking around I have 20, 25, 30+ php-cgi.exe running. With my IIS7 service starting with Windows once my server started all these php-cgi.exe would start running (even though the limit is 10) and I could not even connect to it. After disabling the Web Server as startup which stops php-cgi.exe from running the server runs flawless, like it always has. As soon as I run the web server all these odd issues start. I have a post over at Zend http://forums.zend.com/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=41043&p=95133 where I was told to update my Zend install. After doing so this issue has not gone away. Even running 1 php-cgi.exe (somehow 2 start anyway) the server begins to go silly. The first issue I find myself with running php-cgi.exe is that Windows Services, weather be stock or using FireDaemon begin to lag, slow start, crash, etc. If anyone can help me with this I would GREATLY appreciate it. At this time I am forced to look for a alternative to running PHP other than cgi as it simply takes out the whole box. On another note, I run this same version of Zend on a similar server with no issues. Starting to think its a IIS issue. (UPDATE) Installed newest version of PHP, separate from Zend, same issue. Server Specs: Intel Xeon Quad w HT Nehlam Based 24GB DDR3 1333 2x1TB Raid Mirror OS 2x1TB Raid Mirror (Other) 4x2TB Raid 5 (Storage) Server 2008 R2

  • Multiple FIle Upload in FTP Using CMD

    I've large number of files, over 10,000, which I want to upload in FTP server. Now, I can't zip those files & upload it as I've to read those files individually in SAS software for my analysis. If I use mput commant, then the prompt as me to say "y" eact time it tries to upload the file. This is very cumbersome. Is there any method by which it automatically upload the files without I've to manually entering "y" each time file wants to upload. The command I was using was: ftp ftp.myftp.com *my ftp server name username:myusername password:mypassword ftp> lcd c:\local_folder ftp> mput *.*

  • Ubuntu automatic logout whenever I execute exe files

    I have a problem. Here's the thing. There were 4 partitions in my hard drive: One for ubuntu root folder One for ubuntu home folder One for general stuffs like music, movies... And the last one for SWAP To install Windows 7, I resized partitions and moving the order of partitions by using GParted. I moved all of the ext formatted partitions to the left, so that means the spare space would be at the right. And I formatted that spare space in NTFS and install windows 7. After successfully installing windows 7, I used LiveUSB to fix grub. I installed Boot Repair and, with just one click, now I can dual boot ubuntu and windows 7. But, the point, because of changing the order of partitions, especially the partition consisting of home folder, I couldn't log in the ubuntu. I used recovery mode and changed file /etc/passwd. Everything almost got back to normal except one thing. The windows apps that I installed via wine don't work anymore. I run them via accessing menu Applications/Wine/Programs but nothing loads. One more thing, when I double click on exe files to run them, ubuntu suddenly log outs. Thank you for reading my post, it's quite long and my English is fairly poor. I found that the vcbuild.exe always call the "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Csc.exe /noconfig .." the problem is how can I change the Framework version to v3.5? I found my project works fine with the v3.5 but it's broken in the v2.0.50727. I try to use msbuild.exe instead of vcbuild.exe, everything goes well, I just don't understand how can I make it with the vcbuild.exe? win7+vs2005+vs2008 installed.

    Hi, A year back i have developed a small script in perl for a customer and developed its .exe using pp . we delivered .exe file along with basic cygwin(1.52) install files to run that .exe to customer. Now we got an enhancement in the script .we lost all dev environment for cygwin .Again we installed fresh cygwin with 1.7 version ,coded and generated .exe file.this file is not running in the customer environment who have cygwin 1.52.Just it will be balnk after executing the .exe we cannot ask customer to upgarde the test environment. what is other way to make it run .exe with cygwin dll 1.7 on cygwin 1.52.   • Which hosting will let me execute my own EXE with PHP?

    I have a task that PHP (or any server-side scripting language) isn't practical for. It involves a lot of file I/O, processing, etc. and it will execute a lot faster using the program I made in C instead of PHP. Do any hosts allow you to upload your own EXE files and run them on the server using PHP's exec, shell_exec, etc. functions? Do you need a dedicated server to do this? Also, I don't know if Facebook's PHP HipHop is out yet, but I really don't want to use that.

    Hello all, i have sth.bat file which launches my java program on compuiter A. i start this application from computer B by using "psstart \computerA "c:\sth.bat" ". but i when it comes to kill it in the same way, im limited with the process name. Because when sth.bat is run, i see a cmd.exe and java.exe in process list. I have to use the process name with "pskill \computerA processName". But i have more than one applications named cmd.exe and java.exe. How can i solve this problem?

  • w3wp.exe in ASP.NET production app is using 100% CPU. How to find the problem ?

    Hi, we have an asp.net app in production where w3wp.exe is taking 100% CPU ( 4 cores - 4 threads at 25% ) and cpu load never goes down until we recycle the application pool ( the app is alone in the application pool ). Our error log has nothing, there is no exceptions being emitted ( or at least we don't catch them ) so we suspect it's code problem ( infinite loop / deadlock ). The problem only arises after some hours running with high load ( several thousand users ). There is any way to profile one of the EXISTING threads that is causing cpu load ? After taking a look to JetBrains's DotTrace Profiler seems like it's not possible for limitations of Profiling API and man, we haven't get to reproduce the problem in our testing environment. The app uses SQL Server 2005, LINQ2SQL and System.Transactions API. Any suggestion to find the problem ?

    Hello all, My software has two .EXE files : A.exe and B.exe. After installed on Window 7, the shortcut to A.exe is always shown in the start menu. (I don't know if 'Start menu' is the correct name or not, what I mean is the area above 'All Programs').     In C#, I am using form1 as homescreen,.. while running exe from Debug folder, form1.exe appears in Process tab in task manager,... The problem is: Through form1 at runtime, i may create more instances of form1 while trying to close particular instance, the instances closed,.. but still exe appears in task manager. what i found: If i close the instances in the order what we created,.. all exe closes correctly,.. but if close the 4th instance and then 3rd instance,.. exe remains in task manager. (instead of 3rd and then 4th instance) I also used Application.Exit() but still the Exe remains in taskmanager,......

    Hello, I want to develop using a framework called symfony BUT, i do not have a MAC and i don't want to dual boot with Debian. I tryed virtual hosts via Virtual Box but it's too crappy. So i decided to stay on windows So when the tutorial tells me to do php lib/vendor/symfony/data/bin/check_configuration.php i do in the windows cmd : php lib\vendor\symfony\data\bin\check_configuration.php and it tells me : 'php' is not recognized as an internal or external command I use UwAmp (php 5.2.12 + mysql + apache) which is stored in E:\logiciels\UwAmp\ inside i have buch of file, but i guess that is important : E:\logiciels\UwAmp\apache\php_5.2.11 How to make the cmd PHP in the windows cmd work propely please?

I have set up Notepad++ to open the Python script in the command prompt when I press F8 but all Swedish characters looks messed up when opening in CMD but perfectly fine in e.g IDLE. As you can see the output of the batch file I use to open Python in cmd below shows the characters correctly but not the Python script above it. How do I fix this?
