  • Django fails to find static files served by nginx

    I know this is a really noobish question but I can't find any solution despite finding the problem trivial. I have a django application deployed with gunicorn. The static files are served by the nginx server with the following url : myserver.com/static/admin/css/base.css. However, my django application keep looking for the static files at myserver.com:8001/static/admin/css/base.css and is obviously failing (404). I don't know how to fix this. Is it a django or an nginx problem ? Here is my nginx configuration file : server { server_name myserver.com; access_log off; location /static/ { alias /home/myproject/static/; } location / { proxy_pass http://127.0.0.1:8001; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Host $server_name; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; add_header P3P 'CP="ALL DSP COR PSAa PSDa OUR NOR ONL UNI COM NAV"'; } } Thanks for the help !

  • Troubleshooting my internet connection

    While I was out of the house, my father rearranged the network cables a bit. I don't know what he has done exactly - He says nothing more then pulling and untangling. When I came back home, my internet connection changed its IP from 192.168.0.205 to 169.254.197.233. The speed changed from 1Gbps to 10Mbps. It has also been at 100Mbps for a while. My subnetmask changed from 255.255.255.0 to 255.255.0.0. The standard gateway changed from 192.168.0.1 to no standard gateway. My DNS servers remain the same. I have checked the lights of the UTP ports, and it looks like it's only sending a heartbeat every few seconds. A sketch of the (relevant part of) the network: My PC ----- extender ----- modem ^ ^ ^ Wired | Wired | This thing connects two cables to each other All the cabling is gigabit, my network card is a Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20). THe modem is a CBN SVG6540E I have no idea what is going on here and I don't know how to find out either. Any help is welcome! If you need any more info, please ask.

  • MySQL simple replication problem: 'show master status' produces 'Empty set'?

    I've been setting up MySQL master replication (on Debian 6.0.1) following these instructions faithfully: http://www.neocodesoftware.com/replication/ I've got as far as: mysql > show master status; but this is unfortunately producing the following, rather than any useful output: Empty set (0.00 sec) The error log at /var/log/mysql.err is just an empty file, so that's not giving me any clues. Any ideas? This is what I have put in /etc/mysql/my.cnf on one server (amended appropriately for the other server): server-id = 1 replicate-same-server-id = 0 auto-increment-increment = 2 auto-increment-offset = 1 master-host = 10.0.0.3 master-user = <myusername> master-password = <mypass> master-connect-retry = 60 replicate-do-db = fruit log-bin = /var/log/mysql-replication.log binlog-do-db = fruit And I have set up users and can connect from MySQL on Server A to the database on Server B using the username/password/ipaddress above.

  • Windows 7 security and Avast antivirus turned off by themself

    I was just browsing around when at once I got messages that UAC, windows defender, Avast, etc. got turned off, without me doing anything. Then my PC turned by itself. I'm now running virus scans and I checked my eventlogs, but found nothing yet. Windows Update also failed to install a new definition after I rebooted. Any idea what this could've been? EDIT: Forgot to mention that everything was turned on again after rebooting. I have since the reboot got nothing abnormal.

  • Certain websites won't load with DHCP server

    Hi, I recently configured a server using Windows Server 2008 to take over from my router using DHCP Server. I disabled my router from assigning IPs too. All works well, except for certain sites that refuse to load e.g. "Firefox could not find www.amazon.co.uk" http://www.google.co.uk/ http://www.amazon.co.uk/ http://www.jobsite.co.uk/ I think it may have something to do with co.uk domain. If I reboot the server everything goes back to normal but of course thats not a good solution to do that every other day. Does anyone know of this problem or what it might be - I am very new to server technology.

  • Trying to figure Windows 2008 Server and Active Directory - complete novice!

    I am a novice in networking and I want to learn more about Windows Server 2008 and Active Directory. Basically I have serveral Windows 7 PC's in my home and an IBM server with Win Server 2008 installed. I have enabled Active Directory and set the server to have a static IP. Thats as far as I have got and I feel a little overwhelmed at the moment as I am not sure what to do next. What I eventually want to do is have the Windows 7 PC's to be able to be authenticated by the server - basically a mock up of what most large or medium sized businesses/organisations run. Sorry if I sound a bit sketchy, but I understand some things but not the whole picture, I guess I just need confirmation that I am sort of on the right track :) Also what are some good resources out there you can point me to, what are the absolute basics I need to to get started so I can further my learning?

  • Best way to partition 1 TB (Linux and Windows 7)

    Is there an intelligent way to partition 1 TB and be prepared for resizing/adding/deleting partitions? I was thinking about LVM, but as far as I remember, Windows 7 can't be installed on logical volume right? For now my plan is: - ~150 GB for Windows 7 and other stuff (Visual Studio..., maybe I'll split it 100/50 or something like that) - simple NTFS - 850 GB = LVM - disk for Linux (Ubuntu) and other stuff virtual machines, etc. I'm mostly interested in how and what tools should I use to get easy in maintain partitions for both systems.

    I use emacs org-mode to manage work items. Every week, I manually remove all Done items older than 2 weeks. Is there an easy way to perform this automatically? EDIT: I am currently trying to add a new custom command like this: (setq org-agenda-custom-commands '(("P" "Show old entries" todo "DONE" ( (org-agenda-files '("c:/git/org/tickets.org")) (tags "CLOSED<=\"-2w\"") ) )) ) The filter on the CLOSED timestamp is not working correctly.

    I have a web app that uses a WCF service that utilizes a behaviorExtension like so: <behaviorExtensions> <add name="clientCredentialsExtension" type="Simon.Web.Giftcard.WCFSecurity.ClientCredentialsExtensionElement, Simon.Web.Giftcard, Version=1.0.3736.20411, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null"/> </behaviorExtensions> The problem is this web app's version changes with every compile (i think) and thus invalidating this entry. How can I avoid having to change the version number every time I compile this? Can I specify the extension in code somewhere?

  • Pushing a variable onto a vector, value at that point in vector changes when the variable does.

    I have a programming problem =) std::vector<char*> Names; if(MyPacket.ID == 3) {Names.push_back(MyPacket.Buffer);} I push the recieved buffer onto a vector like so, but when the buffer changes so does the value of the variable at that point in the vector. So say I sent and pushed a buffer containing 'Simon' onto the vector that would be fine so at point [0] on the vector would be the word Simon. but then when I recieve a new buffer it overwrites position [0] even though the packets ID is different, a breakpoint within the if statement is not reached with this new buffer. I really hope i'm explaining this well enough, I tried asking a friends advice and he pointed me towards this site. Any help appreciated David Andrews

    WebLogic Server 12c Certified with Java 7 for Production Use WebLogic Server 12c (12.1.1) has been certified with JDK 7 for development usage since December and we have now completed JDK 7 certification for use with production systems. In doing so, we have updated the WebLogic Server 12c (12.1.1) distributions incorporating fixes associated with JDK 7 support as well as some bundled patches that address several issues that have been discovered since the initial release.     Oracle Poland held a Developer Day in Warsaw on November 28. The event was a great success with 100+ attendees thanks to great speakers like Simon Ritter and David Delabassee. David led a lab on JAX-RS, HTML 5 Server-Sent Events and WebSocket using GlassFish (this is the same hands-on lab presented at JavaOne).     Hi, I'm new to moq and setting up mocks so i could do with a little help. Title says it all really - how do I mock up an SqlDataReader using Moq? Thanks Update After further testing this is what I have so far: private IDataReader MockIDataReader() { var moq = new Mock<IDataReader>(); moq.Setup( x => x.Read() ).Returns( true ); moq.Setup( x => x.Read() ).Returns( false ); moq.SetupGet<object>( x => x["Char"] ).Returns( 'C' ); return moq.Object; } private class TestData { public char ValidChar { get; set; } } private TestData GetTestData() { var testData = new TestData(); using ( var reader = MockIDataReader() ) { while ( reader.Read() ) { testData = new TestData { ValidChar = reader.GetChar( "Char" ).Value }; } } return testData; } The issue you is when I do reader.Read in my GetTestData() method its always empty.
