    I'm not sure how to approach this as I am fairly new to jQuery. I'm wanting to create a callback function within a custom function. Here's my example: function doSomething() { var output = 'output here'; // Do something here // This is where I want to create the callback function and pass output as a parameter } I want the callback function to be accessible by any number of scripts (e.g. more than one script can access this callback). This function (doSomething) is not part of a plugin but rather part of another callback function itself. I've also created a var within the function and want to pass that through the callback function as well. How can I do this?

  • Using rsyslog to create different log files for different processes

    Scenario: I am running a cluster of machines. Each machine runs various python programs with a unique (across the cluster), but dynamically set, ID. Right now, they are all logging locally. So, I might have logs that look like: process_5.log process_6.log for processes that had ID's 5 and 6. Another machine may have: process_20.log process_25.log I wish to forward these logs to a logserver running rsyslogd. Python's logging facility has a nice syslog handler, so I understand how I could connect to the remote server. What I haven't figured out is how to use templating/DynFile to maintain log separation. e.g. on the logserver, I will want to see: process_5.log process_6.log process_20.log process_25.log which correspond to the logs of the same name on the sending machine. Is there a way to pull this off with rsyslogd templating?

    I have a network camera that is only able to give me an image, not a video stream. In my home network this image is at http://192.168.1.16/loginfree.jpg I'm able to get this image a few times per second. I would now like to be able to serve it up as a video stream so I can use it in zoneminder. Any idea as to how I do that? I've messed around with named pipes and ffmpeg's image2pipe, but I can't get it to work properly.

  • How can I remove the present view when I have added more than one subView ?

    How can I remove the present view when I touched the close button. I did [self.view removeFromSuperView] when I added only one subView. It worked. But, I have now added another subView to the previous subView. I need to to get the parent view . How can I do it. My code of adding the subView is here.     We have a Plone 4 document that is in a hierarchy. At each node there's either a document, or a folder. Folders then have more documents and folders. We want to be able to print the entire hierarchy, which means rendering the whole thing on one page. I see a number of web sites like this one that seem to have something like this. Is it manually done or is there some add-on I can get to make this feature possible?

    I want to integrate some asyncore.dispatcher instances into GLib's default main context. I figure I can create a custom GSource that's able to detect event readiness on the various sockets in asyncore.socket_map. From C I believe this is done by creating the necessary GSourceFuncs which could involve cheap and non-blocking calls to select, and then handling them using asyncore.read, .write and friends. How do I actually create a GSource from Python? The class glib.Source is undocumented, and attempts to use the class interactively have been in vain. Is there some other method that allows me to handled socket events in the asyncore module without resorting to timeouts (or anything that endangers potential throughput and CPU usage)?

I am trying to teach myself ruby/rails, and as a test project, I want to create a list of tvshows and a list of characters where each tvshow has_many characters and each character belongs_to a specific show.     I need to periodically give temporary and limited access to various directories on a CentOS linux server that has vsftp installed. I've created a user using useradd [user_name] and given them a password using passwd [password]. I've created a directory in /var/ftp and then I bind this to the directory that I wish to limit access to. What else do I need to specifically do to ensure that when this user logs into FTP, they only have access to this directory please?

Actions taken: Downloaded and installed the dotTrace Profiler 5.5 from the JetBrains website Downloaded the dotTrace.Performance.Remote version 5.5.0 from Nuget Published the website to WAWS via Visual Studio 2013 Started the dotTrace application as Administrator Connected to the remote _https://subdomain.azurwebsites.net/AgentService.asmx. See image: http://1drv.ms/1nF5Cyh Selected the w3wp process and pressed Run Got the error message 'Can't create deploy folder'.   • Best Way to View Generated Source of Webpage?

    I'm looking for a tool that will give me the proper generated source including DOM changes made by AJAX requests for input into W3's validator. I've tried the following methods: Web Developer Toolbar - Generates invalid source according to the doc-type (e.g. it removes the self closing portion of tags). Loses the doctype portion of the page. Firebug - Fixes potential flaws in the source (e.g. unclosed tags). Also loses doctype portion of tags and injects the console which itself is invalid HTML. IE Developer Toolbar - Generates invalid source according to the doc-type (e.g. it makes all tags uppercase, against XHTML spec). Highlight + View Selection Source - Frequently difficult to get the entire page, also excludes doc-type. Is there any program or add-on out there that will give me the exact current version of the source, without fixing or changing it in some way? So far, Firebug seems the best, but I worry it may fix some of my mistakes. Solution It turns out there is no exact solution to what I wanted as Justin explained. The best solution seems to be to validate the source inside of Firebug's console, even though it will contain some errors caused by Firebug. I'd also like to thank Forgotten Semicolon for explaining why "View Generated Source" doesn't match the actual source. If I could mark 2 best answers, I would.

  • Create room mailbox in Exchange 2007 - cannot view calendar

    I'm an application developer and I'm trying to play around with Exchange in order to integrate a room booking system with it. I've created a room mailbox and have set it so that it auto-accepts appointment requests. When creating an appointment as a standard user I can add the room as a resource and its availability will display. However, I can add it as a shared calendar to Outlook 2003 (Unable to display the folder. The Calendar folder could not be found) nor can I return the calendar folder using Exchange Web Services (again, could not find the folder). I've also created an appointment via Exchange Web Services with a room as a resource. The resource was successfully booked (as confirmed when opening it as the room's delegate) but it does not appear on the meeting as viewed by any of the attendees. Is there anything further I need to do in order to share this calendar? How do most organisations set up their Exchange with regards to rooms?

    One of my customers is trying to create an interactive "matrix" of interdependencies for the various applications used in their company (it's a travel&leisure company with around 2500 employees). The idea (still at the prototype stage) is to create a sort of Map, based on Visio or similar tool, which traces the communication and interdependencies between all the IT assets in the company, so that when someone asks for a change they can get an overview of the impacts. This was mentioned in a casual setting and it will not be my responsability to directly work on this, but I did contribute the little I know already in terms of vaguely related methodologies (Zachman Framework). I'd like to hear from the people in here if they know of methodologies, or tools, that may help this kind of effort, and if they have any specific experience to contribute. I'll digest the answers and send the result back to my customer, hoping this may be of some help with their task (which I consider a bit visionary and prone to all the pitfalls of any documentation project, but still well worth pursuing).

    I want to start developmet of new application using PrismV4, MEF, Ribbon. But now, I have a problem. How to create tabs for Ribbon dynamically? Each module in application could create own tab in Ribbon. And each tab may have many groups. How can it be done? Where do I need to place each group's definitions (what controls to use (buttons, textboxes, comboboxes, etc) and command bindings and how? Do I need to write XAML somewhere in Module, or all it can be done by code? And last question, how to notify Ribbon (in Shell) to add these tabs to Ribbon?
