  • SimpleXMLElement (PHP) throwing error on XML root attributes

    I am working on a project that will take XML data submitted through a textarea input in a form then extract the data and throw it into a database. I am getting errors about the attribute in the root field of my XML (it is the same schema each time, but with different values).   • PHP: Writing non-english characters to XML - encoding problem

    Hello, I wrote a small PHP script to edit the site news XML file. I used DOM to manipulate the XML (Loading, writing, editing). It works fine when writing English characters, but when non-English characters are written, PHP throws an error when trying to load the file. If I manually type non-English characters into the file - it's loaded perfectly fine, but if PHP writes the non-English characters the encoding goes wrong, although I specified the utf-8 encoding. Any help is appreciated.     Is there a full tastypie django example site and setup available for download? I have been wrestling with wrapping my head around it all day. I have the following code. Basically, I have a POST form that is handled with ajax. When I click "submit" on my form and the ajax request runs, the call returns "POST http://192.168.1.110:8000/api/private/client_basic_info/ 404 (NOT FOUND)" I have the URL configured alright, I think. I can access http://192.168.1.110:8000/api/private/client_basic_info/?format=json just fine. Am I missing some settings or making some fundamental errors in my methods? I want to try updating the entry now. Would that just be appending the pk to the ajax url? For example /api/private/client_basic_info/21/? When I submit that form I get a 501 NOT IMPLEMENTED message. What exactly haven't I implemented? I am subclassing ModelResource, which should have all the ORM-related functions implemented according to the docs.

  • No Properties path set - looking in classpath

    For whatever reason my project has decided it cannot find my transaction.properties file. It is located in the : src/main/resource However it looks in looks in target/classes/ The file also resides yet throws the errors(see below) These all seem to stem from the whole in the init of code I have no acces to which is always fun.   • Should I be wary of signing a non-disclosure agreement with someone I just met?

    tl;dr: Some guy I just met says he wants me to join his company. Before he shows me what they do, he wants me to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Is this weird? I'm traveling right now. Someone who saw me coding seemed to think I was smart or something and started talking with me. He explained that he owns a software company, told me a bit about what it does and told me that he was looking for a programmer who would work for a stake in the company. He explained that the company's product is being developed rather secretly, so he couldn't tell me much. But he did tell enough about the product to convince me that he's not completely making this up, which is a decent baseline. He suggested that he show me more of what he's been working on and, after seeing that, I decide whether I want to join. Because of the secrecy behind the product, he wants me to sign a non-disclosure agreement before we talk. I'm obviously somewhat skeptical because of the random nature by which we met. In the short term, I'm wondering if I should be wary of signing such an agreement. He said it would be easier to show me the product in person rather than over the internet, and I'm leaving town tomorrow, so I'd have to figure this out by tomorrow. If I decide to talk with him, I could decide later whether I trust that it's worth spending any time on this company. The concept of being able to avoid telling a secret seems strange to me for the same reason that things like certain aspects of copyright seem strange. Should I be wary of signing a non-disclosure agreement? Is this common practice? I don't know the details of the agreement of which he was thinking, (If I end up meeting with him, I'll of course read over the agreement before I decide whether to sign it.) so I could consider alternatives according to the aspects of the agreement. Or I could just consider the case of an especially harsh agreement. This question seems vaguely related. Do we need a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)? Thanks

    Can you help me further this investigation? Here is about 10% of the work I have done on it. I present it only to see if there are any truly curious people among you. I made a video a few weeks ago showing some strange things about the Governor General's Coat of Arms and the binary on it. Today, I noticed something kinda cool and thought I would share. Here is the binary as it appears on the COA: 110010111001001010100100111010011 As DEC: 6830770643 (this is easily found on the web) Take a close look at that number. What do you notice about it? It has a few interesting features, but here is the one no one has pointed out... Split it down the middle and you have 68307 70643. The first digit is double the value of the last digit. The second digit is double the second last digit. The third digit is half of the third to last digit. And the middle ones are even or neutral. At first, I thought of it as energy. ++-nnnn+-- But actually you can create something else with it using the values. 221000211. See how that works. You may be asking why that is significant. Bare with me. I know 99% are rolling their eyes. 221000211 as base3 gives you this as binary: 100011101000111 100011101000111 as HEX is 4747, which converts to "GG". Initials of Governor General. GG.ca is his website. When you convert to base 33 (there are 33 digits in the original code) you get "GOV" Interesting? :D There is a lot more to it. I'll continue to show some strange coincidences if anyone is interested. Sorry if I am not explaining this correctly. By now you have probably figured out that I have no background in this. For example if I had a video playing on one workspace, I'd be able to view it in another workspace while working on something.   • Conflict between Change Control and ASL Mapping

    Yesterday I got one strange report that on Agile 9.3.1.2, adding a Supplier into Item's Supplier tab will always remove all the data from Item.PageTwo.MultiList01 field which is assigned to a User Group list. The detailed problem description is like below. In JavaClient, MultiList01 attribute on Parts class's PageTwo tab is enabled and assigned with User Group list. On WebClient, user created a new Part and assign MultiList01 with two UserGroups: "Global User Group Test1" and "Personal Group_Test1". Then go to Suppliers tab to add three Suppliers. Switch back to Part's TitleBlock, will see MultiList01 loses the User Group data. To confirm if MultiList01 really loses the data or it saves with other wrong data, I need to check the database and find strange data that MultiList01 saves wrong data ",7976911,7976907,7976959,", which are exactly the ID of these three Suppliers. Then I can suspect the Supplier attribute on Suppliers tab must be mapped to MultiList01. However when I check Supplier in JavaClient, the "ASL mapped to" is blank. More interesting thing is the database clearly shows Supplier attribute (Base ID =2000004219) is mapped to 2090, which is PageTwo.MultiList01 Base ID. Till now, we can get a conclusion that Supplier data is really mapped to MultiList01, though we assign MultiList01 to User Group list and Supplier does not set "ASL mapped to". It must be another function which overrides "ASL mapped to" visibility in JavaClient with high priority. That is the "Change Controlled" function. We immediately see "ASL mapped to" with value "MultiList01" when we disable Change Controlled for Multilist01 If one attribute is Change Controlled, Supplier data cannot be mapped to this attribute theoretically because Supplier could be dynamically modified by users, not by Changes. In real situation of Agile 9.3.1.2, it could be a Code Defect. We can imagine the scenario customer met. He setup Parts.PageTwo.Multilist01 assigned with Supplier list, then in Parts.Suppliers.Supplier attribute, he set "ASL mapped to" to "Multilist01". Later company business is changed, so he set Multilist01 with Change Controlled and re-assign with User Group list. He forgot to remove "ASL mapped to" before he did modifications to Multilist01. Finally we know the solution, it depends on real business. If still need to mapping Supplier to Parts.PageTwo attribute, should modify "ASL mapped to" to other one attribute which already has assigned with Suppliers list. If do not need "ASL mapped to" function, should delete the data from database level. We cannot do it from JavaClient UI. delete propertytable where id in (select p.id from propertytable p, nodetable n where p.parentid =n.id and n.inherit=2000004219 and propertyid=794)

  • Map caps-lock key to middle mouse click

    Since I rarely use caps-lock, I'd like to map the key to a middle mouse click instead. I would also like to map Alt+Caps Lock to the original function of the caps lock key, should I ever need it. I can map any keyboard shortcut to xdotool click 2, but the Gnome Keyboard Shortcuts dialog won't let me assign a command to the caps-lock key, even with modifiers. I know this is a bit of a strange undertaking; How would I go about doing it?
