  As more presentational html properties get deprecated the natural response for me was to make single property CSS classes such as .text-align-left{text-align:left}. My question is, is this preferred versus inline styles? Stackoverflow actually uses quite a bit of inline styles. PS: I know this isn't really a coding question and it is likely to incite debate but stackoverflow is the largest stack exchange for code and this question does have some use for future individuals.

• Calling to_xml on an Array of ROXML objects results in an empty collection

  Hi there. I have a ROXML object that looks like: class Activity include ROXML xml_accessor :id end If I have an array of these objects and call .to_xml on the array, I receive an empty xml collection: "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>\n<activities type=\"array\">\n</activities>\n" Any idea why or how to fix this? I'm running Rails 2.3.5 with the newest version of ROXML. Thanks

• Tabs very dark on api level 5, but used to be lighter with api level 4?

  Hi, I've been using api level 4, and am moving to 5. I had a tab widget in my activity. The tabs used to b pretty light greys, after moving to api level 5, they are quite dark. The unselected tabs are almost black! I've tried setting the theme to light, but the colors remain very dark. Anyone else seeing this? Thanks

  Hi As i know, all the threads share memory location. For example a global variable changes in one thread will reflect in another thread. Since each thread has its own stack, the local variables that are created inside the thread is unique. In this case, why do we need to go for thread specific data mechanism?. • mongodb java driver - raw command?

  Is it possible to execute raw commands as javascript through the Java driver for MongoDB? I'm tired of wrapping everything in Java objects using Rhino, and would happily sacrifice performance for the convenience of passing javascript directly through to the DB. If not, I can always use sleepymongoose or something, but I don't really want to add yet another language (python) to the stack at this point. Any insights are appreciated.

  Hi I'd like to programatically increase the height allocated to a TextView, and have the activity layout redrawn accordingly (the text view has a maximum height until the user clicks it, then it takes up all height required, wrap_content). setHeight() isn't working, even coupled with invalidate() or postInvalidate(). I am able to change the contents of the TextBox with setText() but it isn't altering the existing specified height. Android 1.5 under the 1.6 SDK.

  I'm referencing my js files before the closing body tag, hoping they will be parsed last (as they're not needed untill last). However when I analyse activity with PageSpeed in Firebug, the images seem to be requested last. How can i make the images higher priority than the js?
