    I have a query as follows: var query = from x in context.Employees where (x.Salary > 0 && x.DeptId == 5) || x.DeptId == 2 order by x.Surname select x; The above is the original query and returns let's say 1000 employee entities. I would now like to use the first query to deconstruct it and recreate a new query that would look like this: var query = from x in context.Employees where ((x.Salary > 0 && x.DeptId == 5) || x.DeptId == 2) && (x,i) i % 10 == 0 order by x.Surname select x.Surname; This query would return 100 surnames. The syntax is probably incorrect, but what I need to do is attach an additional where clause and modify the select to a single field. I've been looking into the ExpressionVisitor but I'm not entirely sure how to create a new query based on an existing query. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks you.

But the method gives me only 3 properties for each entry. IsFolder Url Last modified date So how can we get 'Modified By' field value. Or there is another solution for enumerating folders and subfolders. Thanks.

    firstButton is a UIButton of type Custom. I'm programmatically putting three of them across each cell of a table, thusly: [firstButton setImage:markImage forState:UIControlStateNormal]; [firstButton setContentMode:UIViewContentModeScaleAspectFit]; [cell.contentView addSubview:firstButton]; Elsewhere, I'm telling it to clipToBounds. What I get is a crop of the center square of the image, rather than an aspect-scaled rendering of it. I've tried this lots of ways, including setting the mode property on firstButton.imageView, which also doesn't seem to work.

I want to load in the "url"-attribute from <user> , but only if <name> and <lastname> matches the name values i have stored in my own user database. I know how to parse the rest of it with PHP, but just the matching sequence seems difficult to me. Any help appreciated!

    I'm evaluating JasperReport and iReport, a requirement is the possibility to produce a multiple page report in which every page contains a different report. Example: Page 1 contains an actual invoice for a customer Page 2 contains the invoices list for the customer Page 3 contains a graph of amount of invoices by year Page 4 contains only fixed text (say operator instructions ...)     Based on the MVVM example by Josh Smith, I have implemented the multi tab option which binds to a different tab to a different view model using a simple datatemplate that binds a viewmodel to a view. <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type fixtureVM:SearchViewModel}"> <SearchVw:SearchView/> </DataTemplate> The issue that I'm having, is when I switch tabs and then switch back again, the value in the textbox disappears. When I bind the Text in the textbox to a value in the ViewModel it does not disappear. This is fine, and I can overcome this but I am having another issue for example with the position of the scroll bar in a grid disappearing once the tab has lost focus. Why is the value disappearing? I'm assuming it is a WPF sub system task that cleans up resources!? how can I avoid this? I also feel it might be slowing down my app.

After a category is set to the product all properties show up in the form and the user can set that property to one of the properties possible values. My question is: Is it possible for Thinking Sphinx to filter the products through a property and property value ex: :with => {:property_id => property_value} If it's possible, what is the best way to implement this?     Hi, I create a TableLayout which has 3 equally-wide columns (I put 'stretchColumns="*" in my TableLayout which has 3 TextViews). See below: But my questions is why I set one of the TextView to 'visibility' to Gone in my java code, the TableLayout does not re-size to 2 qually-wide columns which fit the whole screen. I have even call 'tableLayout.requestLayout()' after i set the visibility to Gone.' How can I achieve what I want?   • Rotating images + content - jQuery or MooTools?

    I've found a feature on two different websites that I'd like to include on one of my web projects, but I can't figure out how they're doing it. I think they're using either jQuery or mootools, but I'm not sure. http://www.x-plane.com/index_desktop.html I'm new here so I don't have the reputation to post the other link, but if you do a Google search for "Andrews Institute of Orthopaedics" its the top result. I'll see if I can answer a few questions to earn my keep. The thing that I like about these is that the images and text (including links) are all rotated together. I've done a few web searches related to cycle, rotate and slide but it's not coming together for me. Can anyone give me a nudge in the right direction?

    Hello, I have created a GridView whose columns are dynamically created based on my data source. I have implemented these columns by using the approach described here.Those columns display properly on the initial load. However, I need to implement commanding so that a user can edit / delete a row in the GridView. At this point, I have implemented commanding as I would with a normal GridView. I have a TemplateField with an ItemTemplate that has LinkButton elements for edit and delete. The CommandName for each LinkButton is set to either Edit or Delete respectively. Oddly, when a user clicks either the Edit or Delete link, the data in the GridView disappears. However, I have verified that I am in fact re-binding the data when one of these LinkButton elements is selected. Can anyone provide some suggestions as to what the cause could be? Thank you!

(String vs Number vs Object) Or Can one manipulate the UpperBound value to make it work? i.e. after removing Item 3, I want the UpperBound, or arraylength, to be 2, since this is logically correct.

  • How to fit the paper-size to the content in LaTeX

    Hi, I'd like to create a pdf/ps/eps that contains only one single formula. I thought the easiest way would be to use latex. Unfortunately, I found no option to specify, that the paper-size should automatically be set to fit the contents. I found that dvipng has a "-T tight" option, that actually does the trick, but... I want it in vector-graphics format. Any suggestions? Thanks.
