• Weird functioning of Application event in iPhone

  Hi, iPhone app shuts down when ever any call accepted by user. When call ends, app will resume. I want to capture that event when app resumes after call ends. Howsoever I have tried: on App delegate: - (void)applicationWillTerminate:(UIApplication *)application - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application - (void)applicationDidBecomeActive:(UIApplication *)application - (void)applicationWillResignActive:(UIApplication *)application On view load: viewDidLoad ViewwillAppear But non of the above event occur. Dont know how would I know that user is coming back after receiving a call.

• Automatically running thread stopped after the application idling for more than 1 hour

  I have a web application which runs on IIS 6.0 and it has a thread that runs on the applicaion startup. That thread will run continously after the application startup with a sleep time of 10 seconds (This will update the application cache from getting the data from DB). But once the application is idle for more than 1 hour this thread is no longer running. Please give me a solution for continously run this thread.

I have converted my application into a windows servise. When i try to start my service it shows this error Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly Is it because my program throws an exception when my application is started before the rmiregistry is started.

I have seen that you can use Application_Start() but this is only fired once the first request comes to the application. I need the timer to start as soon as the application is running so that it can check for work to process even if a user is not interacting with the site.   Our ClickOnce application is reporting "Unable to install or run the application. The application requires stdole Version 7.0.3300.0 in the GAC" when one user tries to run the application. It's interesting to note that the GAC (c:\windows\asssembly) does not have stdole installed in it. Any ideas how to get it there? We are using .NET 3.5 and it has been installed on this computer.
