    Hi, I'd like to know if there's any way to send data to the server for the selected rows using the checkboxes I've put on those rows? I mean , how can I send only the data of those selected rows to the server?     Okay..this is kind of an interesting question. I have a php form through which user enters values for x and y like this: X: [1,3,4] Y: [2,4,5] These values are stored into database as varchars. From there, these are called by a python program which is supposed to use them as numerical (numpy) arrays. However, these are called as plain strings, which means that calculation can not be performed over them. Is there a way to convert them into numerical arrays before processing or is there something else which is wrong? Helpp!!

  • How can I get a iterable resultset from the database using pdo, instead of a large array?

    I'm using PDO inside a database abstraction library function query. I'm using fetchAll(), which if you have a lot of results, can get memory intensive, so I want to provide an argument to toggle between a fetchAll associative array and a pdo result set that can be iterated over with foreach and requires less memory (somehow). I remember hearing about this, and I searched the PDO docs, but I couldn't find any useful way to do that. Does anyone know how to get an iterable resultset back from PDO instead of just a flat array? And am I right that using an iterable resultset will be easier on memory? I'm using Postgresql, if it matters in this case. . . .     I'm trying in an asp web application to code a function that would loop through a list of files in a multiple upload form and send them one by one. Is this something that can be done in ASP? Because I've read some posts about how to attach several files together, but saw nothing about looping through the files.   • Using a different array for vertices and normals in glDrawElements (OpenGL/VBOs)

    I'm currently programming a .obj loader in OpenGL. I store the vertex data in a VBO, then bind it using Vertex Attribs. Same for normals. Thing is, the normal data and vertex data aren't stored in the same order. The indices I give to glDrawElements to render the mesh are used, I suppose, by OpenGL to get vertices in the vertex VBO and to get normals in the normals VBO. Is there an opengl way, besides using glBegin/glVertex/glNormal/glEnd to tell glDrawElements to use an index for vertices and an other index for normals? Thanks

I tested the value of (mean) and data[i] using return data[i] and return mean they are valid. when i replaced mean with an actual number, the operation returned a finite number. but with mean as a variable, it produced NaH. I can't see anything wrong with my code at the moment. Again, I am sure mean, data are getting the right number based on those tests. Thank you

There is a numerical field on the form and I would like to sort the results by this number (highest first). How would I go about doing this in jQuery?   • Improve Efficiency in Array comparison in Ruby

    Hi I am working on Ruby /cucumber and have an requirement to develop a comparison module/program to compare two files. Below are the requirements The project is a migration project . Data from one application is moved to another Need to compare the data from the existing application against the new ones. Solution : I have developed a comparison engine in Ruby for the above requirement. a) Get the data, de duplicated and sorted from both the DB's b) Put the data in a text file with "||" as delimiter c) Use the key columns (number) that provides a unique record in the db to compare the two files For ex File1 has 1,2,3,4,5,6 and file2 has 1,2,3,4,5,7 and the columns 1,2,3,4,5 are key columns. I use these key columns and compare 6 and 7 which results in a fail. Issue : The major issue we are facing here is if the mismatches are more than 70% for 100,000 records or more the comparison time is large. If the mismatches are less than 40% then comparison time is ok. Diff and Diff -LCS will not work in this case because we need key columns to arrive at accurate data comparison between two applications. Is there any other method to efficiently reduce the time if the mismatches are more thatn 70% for 100,000 records or more. Thanks

I need to display the average and maximum wait times. How can I take the entire list of time from the server and get the average time? Also, what would be the best method to simply grab a new time from the server when it is updated without having to pull the whole list again? Thanks!

    I have a php variable that comes from a form that needs tidying up. I hope you can help. The variable contains a list of items (possibly two or three word items with a space in between words). I want to convert it to a comma separated list with no superfluous white space. I want the divisions to fall only at commas, semi-colons or new-lines. Blank cannot be an item. Here's a comprehensive example (with a deliberately messy input): Variable In: "dog, cat ,car,tea pot,, ,,, ;;(++NEW LINE++)fly, cake" Variable Out "dog,cat,car,tea pot,fly,cake" Can anyone help?

Except when I have a group of checkboxes...the error messages will display right after the first checkbox...like so: <tbody> <c:forEach items="${list}" var="item"> <tr> <td align="center"> <input type="checkbox" name="selectItems" value="<c:out value="${item.numberPlate}"/>" /> </td> <!--some other columns--> </tr> </c:forEach> </tbody> I found that I can use a wrapper for these checkboxes ,then place the error message there, but I have no idea how to do it since I'm creating the rows dynamically.     At the very beginning of the javascript file, I have: var lbp = {}; lbp.defaults = { minLength: 40 }; I can successfully alert it afterwards, with: alert(lbp.defaults.minLength); But as soon as I put it inside a function, when I alert, I get "Undefined". What gives, and how do I avoid this? Is it absolutely necessary to pass this variable into each function, for example, by doing: function(lbp) { alert(lbp.defaults.minLength); } I would have thought that defining it first, it would attain global scope and not be required to be passed in? Thanks in advance for enlightening me :)

    Hi I am currently needing to load the contents of a folders filenames to an arraylist I have but I am unsure as how to do this. To put it into perspective I have a folder with One.txt, Two.txt, Three.txt etc. I want to be able to load this list into an arraylist so that if I was to check the arraylist its contents would be : arraylist[0] = One arraylist[1] = Two arraylist[3] = Three If anyone could give me any insight into this it would be much appreciated.

    Hey guys . i have two classes, SelectionScreenTable & GraphView. In the SelectionScreenTable class .h, i declared a NSMutableArray called usagedatas NSMutableArray *usagedatas; } @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableArray *usagedatas; In the SelectionScreenTable class.m i remembered to @synthesize. Later on, while processing my methods, i did a NSLog(@"usagedatas count:%i",usagedatas.count); to check whether it has value and it returned 1. so yeah its good up to this point. And in the -(void) dealloc , i remembered to released it . [usagedatas release]; So now comes ME trying to use it in another class. In GraphView.m i imported the "SelectionScreenTable.h". in the -(void)viewDidLoad i did SelectionScreenTable *UD = [SelectionScreenTable alloc]; NSLog(@"GraphView UD.usagedataas.count = :%i",UD.usagedatas.count); it returned 0. Any idea guys?
