  • HOWTO use UIWebView to display a downloaded file later?

    - by Roboprog
How do I format an NSURL (what path, or path generator function) so that I can display a downloaded local file (NOT part of the application NSBundle) for use offline? The idea is to snag an HTML file, clean it up and stash it in the iFoo application specific storage area, then later use UIWebView to display it. Next, I go off to RTFM about working with files on iFoo (iPhone / iPad) in general, but any fast-start tips are appreciated.

  • How to determine who changed a file?

    - by Cocowalla
In Windows, how can I programmatically determine which user account last changed or deleted a file? I know that setting up object access auditing may be an option, but if I use that I then have the problem of trying to match up event log entries to specific files... sounds messy! I can't think of any other way, so does anyone either have any tips for this approach or any alternatives?

I have read many strong views (both for and against) SPs or DS. I am writing a query engine in C++ (mySQL backend for now, though I may decide to go with a C++ ORM). I cant decide whether to write a SP, or to dynamically creat the SQL and send the query to the db engine.# Any tips on how to decide?

How to lock file in Windows so that this file can be opened/read/wrote only by one process? I found out that file can be locked with CreateFile by giving 0 to dwShareMode flag. Please help me to solve this issue or give some tips...

Tips and trix on how to handle this situation?

  • Shopping Cart with multiple orders in ASP

    - by Joao Heleno
I'm building an e-commerce website in ASP.Net/C# and I'm having some difficulties with my shopping cart... I want my costumers to be able to say "I want X boxes, and each box carries Y items". Let's say, for instance, my website sells flowers. A client logs in and then chooses X bouquets and then for each bouquet he adds flowers from the catalog. Can you point me out some links or tips in order to achieve this behaviour? Thanks
