• MySQL help, counting information on last records

• ImageMagick help -- need to change DPI

  I have a 1000x1000 300dpi image that I need to convert to a 100x100 96dpi thumbnail. How do I do this in ImageMagick? I'm after the smallest possible file size at the highest possible quality. Doing something like this: convert myimage.png -quality 100 -resize 100 PNG8:mynewimage.png .... does change the dimension, but still maintains the DPI. If I can get this to change to 96dpi, I should get a smaller file size. I've tried -density, etc., but can't seem to make them work for me. Maybe I put the commands in the wrong order or passed the wrong parameters. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Furthermore IE7 displays an error message asking me to stop the page from running scripts as it's might make my computer not responsive (yeah, scary enough). Same thing on olx.com - location and number of items for each category. Now imagine I have tables: [products] (Id, Name, CategoryId, LocationId) [Categories] (Id,Name) [Location] (Id, Name) My question how can I do the same, cause count things even with caching looks expensive? The principal is the same to, say a forum, where you say: A user gets points for every new thread. Then, calculate the ratio of points for the number of threads. Example: User A has 300 points. User A has started 6 thread. The point ratio is: 50:6 My schemas look as following: student(studentid, name, class, major) course(courseid, coursename, department) courseoffering(courseid, semester, year, instructor) faculty(name, office, salary) gradereport(studentid, courseid, semester, year, grade) The relations is a following: Faculity(name) = courseoffering(instructor) Student(studentid) = gradereport (studentid) Courseoffering(courseid) = course(courseid) Gradereport(courseid) = courseoffering(courseid) I have this query to select the faculty names there is teaching one or more students: SELECT COUNT(faculty.name) FROM faculty, courseoffering, gradereport, student WHERE faculty.name = courseoffering.instructor AND courseoffering.courseid = gradereport.courseid AND gradereport.studentid = student.studentid My problem is to find the ratio between the faculty members salary in regarding to the number of students they are teaching.   I'm trying understand how to interpret the output of, and use, the Lisp debugger. I've got a pretty simple Backtrace for the evaluation of my function, but I cann't seem to work out how to use it to find out in which Lisp 'form' in my function the exception occurred. I'd appreciate any clues as to what I should be doing, to find the source of the error. I've attached a screen shot (if it's too small to read I can re-post it in parts), with the debug output, the function and the repl (please ignore my very wrong function, I'm just interested in learning how to use the debugger properly). In addition, I hit 'v' on the first frame to go to the source, but this resulted in the error at the bottom of the screen.

  I apologize in advance, I am a PHP noob! I have form with some hidden fields. I need the values to POST to "submit_rma.php" so that they're not missing from the db--I need $qty, $estmate_id and $rma_type. The rest of the fields are just displaying data for the user and are readonly. Currently I only get value from the qty text field. Is there any easier way to pass these values?   i am having some troubles understanding threads in NVIDIA gpu architecture with cuda. please could anybody clarify these info: an 8800 gpu has 16 SMs with 8 SPs each. so we have 128 SPs. i was viewing stanford's video presentation and it was saying that every SP is capable of running 96 threads cuncurrently. does this mean that it (SP) can run 96/32=3 warps concurrently? moreover, since every SP can run 96 threads and we have 8 SPs in every SM. does this mean that every SM can run 96*8=768 threads concurrently?? but if every SM can run a single Block at a time, and the maximum number of threads in a block is 512, so what is the purpose of running 768 threads concurrently and have a max of 512 threads? a more general question is:how are blocks,threads,and warps distributed to SMs and SPs? i read that every SM gets a single block to execute at a time and threads in a block is divided into warps (32 threads), and SPs execute warps.

• Help me understand WebDAV and Autoversioning

  I just read the WebDAV Appendex in the O'Reilly Subversion book. I don't quite understand it. It talked about users being able to "mount" WebDAV directories (trees) and manipulate the files like they would normally and on saves the server would automagically create a new revision. The way it explained it, it sounded like it would work for any program, but then at the end of the appendix, it listed a series of programs that worked with WebDAV servers, which leads me to think that maybe it doesn't work like it originally described it. My question is this: How exactly do you interact with a WebDAV repository? Can I do this for example: Copy a file locally via ftp, edit it with notepad++, and then upload it via ftp to the server and have the server do a commit and create a new revision with the file I just edited and uploaded. Also, if that is possible, what happens if two people edit the file locally (on their machines) and uploaded two reversions to the server? With webDAV will I be able to replace Dreamweaver's "Oops, someone edited this before you" with simple ftp uploads and subversion conflict resolutions?

• Help with setting up panels in Java

  I'm new to Java awt, so I am having trouble with setting up panels. I have one giant panel, which needs to hold 3 panels inside (photo is attached at the bottom). One will go on top(1), second one will be in the middle(3), and third goes on the bottom(2). Any remaining space has to be divided equally between (1)/(3) and (3)/(2). Also, the middle panel (3) is a table, so GridLayout has to be used. How can I achieve this? Thanks in advance! P.S. I've tried to draw it in MS Paint (http://i45.tinypic.com/2w523ie.jpg)
