    I want to create a backend for my android app with Tapestry5 and this http://code.google.com/p/t5-restful-webservices/ plugin. The app will communicate with the server by calling REST methods both for registered users (that would be easy to secure I guess) as well as unregistered users. Now of course I don't want people to just call that webservice from a browser. How can I make sure that only my app can make calls to this backend?

Currently, I can see computed routes like on this tutorial http://developers.cloudmade.com/projects/web-maps-lite/examples/routing, but I look for a fancier way to do it -- without A and B tags, and with colors, etc. Is this possible ? The text file must contain title, description and keywords of the xml file without the tags and removing other elements and attributes as well. In other words, i need to create 8000 text files containing the title,description and keywords of the xml file. I need codings for this to be done systematically.     We have Youtube videos on a site and want to detect if it is likely that they will not be able to view them due to (mostly likely) company policy or otherwise. We have two sites: 1) Flex / Flash 2) HTML I think with Flex I can attempt to download http://youtube.com/crossdomain.xml and if it is valid XML assume the site is available But with HTML I dont know how to do it. I cant even think of a 'nice hack'

    Hello, I have successfully come up to the access_token step along with final oauth_token and oauth_token_secret values. Now I'm trying to access the Post method given by Yammer API with following request : https://www.yammer.com/api/v1/messages/? body=MyMessage& oauth_consumer_key=Myconsumerkey& oauth_nonce=1825bbc0f0a2875eb94bdb4d51c0638b& oauth_signature=JzG4DCWxuP%2B7xT7u3tFZ2zCC8%2BI%3D& oauth_signature_method=HMAC-SHA1& oauth_timestamp=1257761059& oauth_token=Myfinaloauthtoken& oauth_version=1.0 But I'm getting "Invalid OAuth signature" error. Can somebody help me in this.

Easy enough. But what if the response from the PHP file takes a second or two and the user clicks the button rapidly? I came up with the following workaround, and it works fine, but it seems like this issue would be common enough to have a more built-in solution. So if I'm working locally it can just pull from /home/MyName/images but once it's in production it will pull from http://images.site.com. How would I do that? I'm assuming i can set up my config.groovy with the variables i'm just not sure how i switch between them or use them in code.
