    There have been a few questions like this asked before but not in the same way. I want to put a Facebook Like or Share or Recommend button on all of my website pages. The site is somewhat like Yelp but for different topics. I am wondering which button to put there. Does it do any good to have individual pages "liked" and does it show anywhere besides on that page? I basically just want people to be able to click a button and have the page show up on their wall and their friend's feeds and I am not sure what the best plugin for that is.

  • Change the output of the facebook like button [migrated]

    I've tied in the code for the facebook like button from the facebook dev site (I currently use the iframe version) directly into the html of a node (or content post). I want to be able to manipulate what text is sent when someone hits the like button. you can see the site and buttons here www.masteringmoneybasics.org I've tried both the iframe and html5 versions of the button and can't see where to alter what is sent. If there is no way to directly alter what is sent, does anyone know what it looks for in content to be sent so I can structure the node correctly? If you notice, when you like the page, it doesn't get the first sentence of the content, but all content after it, and I've tried putting different content in between the two lines (in its own <p>) and it still grabs the latter. Also how it figures out which image to grab from the page? Most times it doesn't take any image, however twice it's grabbed the middle school image.

  • Sensitive middle-button (mouse)

    Whenever I click on the middle-button on my mouse-wheel, it seems that multiple click events are being sent in succession. Case in point: when I middle-click a bookmark folder in Chrome (to open up all the bookmarks in tabs), Chrome opens up the same set of bookmarks three times. This is very annoying. Is there a way in X or Gnome to detune the sensitivity of my mouse's middle button to prevent multiple click events from being sent? Maybe like a double-click speed adjustment for the middle-button?

  • Android ProgressDialog Progress Bar doing things in the right order

    I just about got this, but I have a small problem in the order of things going off. Specifically, in my thread() I am setting up an array that is used by a Spinner. Problem is the Spinner is all set and done basically before my thread() is finished, so it sets itself up with a null array. How do I associate the spinners ArrayAdapter with an array that is being loaded by another thread? I've cut the code down to what I think is necessary to understand the problem, but just let me know if more is needed. The problem occurs whether or not refreshData() is called. Along the same lines, sometimes I want to call loadData() from the menu. Directly following loadData() if I try to fire a toast on the next line this causes a forceclose, which is also because of how I'm implementing ProgressDialog.     I am writing a RTSP client in Android. I am able to receive the Responses for all the requests i.e., DESCRIBE it sends back the 200 OK SETUP with transport: RTP/AVP:unicast:client_port=4568:4569 got the 200 OK Message back Sent PLAY, and got the OK Message After that how to get the audio and video frames? I have searched on blogs, but all say to listen at client_port but I am not receiving any packets. Please let me know am I doing correctly.

    Greetings everyone! I'm getting rather fed up with android's ConnectivityManager class. I've been trying for 5 hours to get the requestRouteToHost to work. I'm running my code on the emulator but the requestRouteToHost always fails. I know I have connectivity because I called getActiveNetworkInfo() and it was connected. I've added the ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE permissions to no avail. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Sam

    In my Android appliction in eclipse I get the following error: UNEXPECTED TOP-LEVEL EXCEPTION: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: already added: Lorg/xmlpull/v1/XmlPullParser; .... Conversion to Dalvik format failed with error 1 this error only appears if I add a specific external Jar to my project. I search long time to the right solution but all possible solutions don't work. I even tried to change to android 1.6 instead of 1.5(current version I use)

Something that gives me the possibility to save small key-value pairs, that are persistent and unchanged even if the user reinstalls the application. Is there something like that? While scrolling, I need to achieve the same behavior you get when setting the paging option on a the iPhone equivalent of the HSW (scrolling the list should stop at every page on the list, not continue moving).     I want to use a custom media controller in my Android app and therefore looking at the vidtry code (http://github.com/commonsguy/vidtry), especially Player.java: The sample works fine as it comes. But I want the sample to play the fixed video automatically on app startup (so I don't want to enter a URL). I added: @Override public void onStart() { super.onStart(); address.setText("/sdcard/mydata/category/1/video_agkkr6me.mp4"); go.setEnabled(true); onGo.onClick(go); } Strange thing here is that if I run the app, the audio of the video plays but the image doesn't show. Everything else works fine (progress bar, etc.). I can't figure out the difference between the manual click on the go-button and the programmatic one. I looked at the code and didn't see any difference that might occur between manual and programmatic click. I checked if any elements (esp. surface) might be hidden, but it's not. I even tried a surface.setVisibility(View.INVISIBLE); surface.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE); in case some issue with the redrawing, but no difference. The video image does show when I manually hit the go button, but just not on start up automatically.

    I was trying to change my default/main/startup (whatever you call it) activity by editing the androidmanifest.xml file. All i did was change the android:name property. however, this completely broke the entire app. when i try to install it fails and reads Installation error: INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES when i tried to change it back to its previous state, it was still giving me the same error... what have i done!?!?!
