  • Perl Threads with binmode

    Hi Folks, this call my $th = threads->create(\&print, "Hello thread World!\n"); $th->join(); works fine. But as soon as I add binmode(STDOUT, ":encoding(ISO-8859-1)"); to my script file, I get an error like "segmentation fault", "access denied". What is wrong to define an encoding type when trying to call a perl thread? Kind Regards --Andy

I have been checking all the String allocations and have released all of them at appropriate places. The responsible library: Foundation. Has anyone encountered this problem before?     Hello, I've got an input box that allows UTF8 characters -- can I detect whether the characters are in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean programmatically (part of some Unicode range, perhaps)?     Hello, It is possible to create an instance of a C# class within a aspx.vb codebehind file? When I try this within the Page_Load event: Dim oFlow As New Flow(HttpContext.Current.Request) I get the Type 'Flow' is not defined. The Flow class itself is located here: App_Code/CSCode/Cust/Frm/Flow.cs There's no namespace associated with this class. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. cheers, devin
