    I am currently trying to make yoast's link cloaking script ( Yoast.com script manual // Github Script files ) work together with the Wordpress plugin Advanced Custom Fields. The script fetches 2 values (redirect id, redirect url) via GET and then redirects to this particular URL which is defined in a .txt file called redirects.txt I would like to change the script, so that I can define both the id and redirection URL via custom fields on each post in my WP dashboard.. I would be really happy if someone could help me to code something that does the same as the script above but without using a redirects.txt file to save the values but furthermore gets those values from custom fields.   • Android: Layouts and views or a single full screen custom view?

    I'm developing an Android game, and I'm making it so that it can run on low end devices without GPU, so I'm using the 2D API. I have so far tried to use Android's mechanisms such as layouts and activities where possible, but I'm beginning to wonder if it's not easier to just create a single custom view (or one per activity) and do all the work there. Here's an example of how I currently do things: I'm using a layout to display the game's background as an image view and the square game area, which is a custom view, centered in the middle. What would you say? Should I continue to use layouts where possible or is it more common/reasonable to just use a large custom view? I'm thinking that this would probably also make it easier to port my code to other platforms.

    I have a requirement where I have to display some data (from a custom db) and let the user export it to an excel file. I decided to use the ReportViewer control present in Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ReportViewer. I added the required assembly to the project references and I add the following code to test it out protected override void CreateChildControls() { base.CreateChildControls(); objRV = new Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ReportViewer(); objRV.ID = "objRV"; this.Controls.Add(objRV); } The first error asked me to add this line in the web.config which I did and the next error says The type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal.Analytics.UI.ReportViewerMessages, Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' does not implement IReportViewerMessages Is it possible to use ReportViewer in my custom Web Part? I rather not bind a repeater and write my own export to excel code. I want to use something which is already built by Microsoft? Any ideas on what I can reuse?     Hi, we are migrating from WebLogic web-services to Spring-WS (1.5.X). There is currently one issue we are facing: We need to pass a context object (on WLS it is passed as SOAP-Header element) to other services that are still running on WLS from the Spring-WS powered service. The header element is still formulated on client side and the newly created WS (Spring-WS) should just pass it to other services. I can imagine how the custom element would be passed: override the doWithMessage(WebServiceMessage message) method... Is there a way to generate the wsdl with the help of DefaultWsdl11Definition to contain that custom header element?     I have a custom panel control that I'm trying to dynamically add controls within. When I run the application the static and dynamically added controls show up perfectly, but the dynamic controls do not appear within the visual studio designer. Only the controls placed declaratively in the XAML appear. I'm currently adding the dynamic control in the CreateUIElementCollection override, but I've also tried this in the constructor without success.   • Creating a 'Custom Designer' Visual Studio 2010 Add-in

    A major part of our work is creating and manipulating certain XML files, for which have a custom editor. The editor is starting to get creaky and we are looking at building a replacement. Since VS2010 has recently arrived, ostensibly with an improved add-in architecture (MEF?), I am interested in the possibility of building the editor as a custom editor within Visual Studio. It would have to appear in the same way as the code editor or the Designer - a tab item, of which there can be many open at once, containing the GUI we use to edit the files. It would integrate with VS's Edit menu. It could use the output window to display messages. It would appear the same as any other editor within Visual Studio. Right now, I am looking for examples of add-ins that work in a similar way - ideally with source code - to see whether this model would suit our requirements. I am also looking for any documentation or tutorials relevant to creating a VS2010 add-in, or information about VS2008 add-ins if this is still relevant. Any input is welcome. Thanks!

  • MKMapKit custom annotations being added to map, but are not visible on the map

    I learned a lot from the screencast at http://icodeblog.com/2009/12/21/introduction-to-mapkit-in-iphone-os-3-0/ , and ive been trying to incorporate the way he creates a custom annotation into my iphone app. He is hardcoding annotations and adding them individually to the map, whereas i want to add them from my data source. So i have an array of objects with a lat and a lng (ive checked that the values are within range and ought to be appearing on the map) that i iterate through and do [mapView addAnnotation:truck] once this process is completed, i check the number of annotations on the map with [[mapView annotations] count] and its equal to the number it ought to be, so all the annotations are getting added onto the mapView, but for some reason I cant see any annotations in the simulator. I've compared my code with his in all the pertinent places many times, but nothing seems to stand out as being incorrect. Ive also reviewed my code for the last several hours trying to find a point where I do something wrong, but nothing is coming to mind. The images are named just as they are assigned in the custom AnnotationView, the loadAnnotation function is done properly, etc... i dont know what it could be. so i suppose if i could have the answer to one question it would be, what are possible causes for a mapView to contain several annotations, but to not show any on the map?   • Problem with boost::find_format_all, boost::regex_finder and custom regex formatter (bug boost 1.42)

    I have a code that has been working for almost 4 years (since boost 1.33) and today I went from boost 1.36 to boost 1.42 and now I have a problem. I'm calling a custom formatter on a string to format parts of the string that match a REGEX. For instance, a string like: "abc;def:" will be changed to "abc\2Cdef\3B" if the REGEX contains "([;:])" boost::find_format_all( mystring, boost::regex_finder( REGEX ), custom_formatter() ); The custom formatter looks like this: struct custom_formatter() { template< typename T > std::string operator()( const T & s ) const { std::string matchStr = s.match_results().str(1); // perform substitutions return matchStr; } } This worked fine but with boost 1.42 I know have "non initialized" s.match_results() which yield to boost::exception_detail::clone_implINS0_::error_info_injectorISt11logic_errorEEEE - Attempt to access an uninitialzed boost::match_results< class. This means that sometimes I am in the functor to format a string but there is no match. Am I doing something wrong? Or is it normal to enter the functor when there is no match and I should check against something? for now my solution is to try{}catch(){} the exception and everything works fine, but somehow that doesn't feel very good. EDIT1 Actually I have a new empty match at the end of each string to parse.     Defining custom components in Facelets is easy and quick but there's one thing I can't figure out. Is it possible with Facelets to define what attributes my custom component has? I.e: I've created a component which is used in such a way: <blue:modalWindow id="editFeesWizard" width="500" height="440" title="Wizard"> and is defined in taglib.xml as follows: <!DOCTYPE facelet-taglib PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Facelet Taglib 1.0//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/facelet-taglib_1_0.dtd"> <facelet-taglib> <namespace>http://blue/</namespace> <tag> <tag-name>modalWindow</tag-name> <source>components/modalWindow.xhtml</source> </tag> </facelet-taglib> Taglib doesn't contain any information on component attributes (id, width, height, title) and IDE cannot therefore check my syntax nor can it suggest attributes while I'm typing.     I am developing a web application. The web application generates java classes on the fly. For example it generates class com.people.Customer.java In my code, I dynamically compile this to get com.people.Customer.class and store in some directory say repository/com/people/Customer.class which is not on the classpath of my application server.My application server(I am using WebSphere Application Server/Apache Tomcat etc) picks up the classes from the WEB-INF/classes directory. The Classloader would use this to load the classes. After compilation I need to load this class so that it becomes accessible to other classes using it after its creation. 4.When I use Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader().loadClass(com.people.Customer) obviously the Classloader is not able to load the class, since its not on the classpath(not in WEB-INF/classes). Due to similar reasons, getResource(..) or getResourceAsStream(..) also does not work. I need a way to : Read the class Customer.class maybe as a stream (or any other way would do) and then load it. Following are the constraints: I cannot add the repository folder to the WEB-INF/classes folder. I cannot create a new Custom ClassLoader. If I create a new ClassLoader and this loads the class, it will not be accessible to its parent ClassLoader. Is there any way of achieving this? If not this, in the worse case, is there a way of overriding the default class loader with a custom class loader for web applications the same classloader should be used to load applications throughout entire lifecycle of my web application. Appreciate any solution :)

    Hi all, We have a server written in C# (Framework 3.5 SP1). Customers write client applications using our server API. Recently, we created several levels of license schemes like Basic, Intermediate and All. If you have Basic license then you can call few methods on our API. Similiarly if you have Intermediate you get some extra methods to call and if you have All then you can call all the methods. When server starts it gets the license type. Now in each method I have to check the type of license and decide whether to proceed further with the fucntion or return. For example, a method "InterMediateMethod()" can only be used by Intermediate License and All license. So I have to something like this. public void InterMediateMethod() { if(licenseType == "Basic") { throw new Exception("Access denined"); } } It looks like to me that it is very lame approach. Is there any better way to do this? Is there any declarative way to do this by defining some custom attributes? I looked at creating a custom "CodeAccessSecurityAttribute" but did not get a good success. Thank you, Suresh

    Hello, I'm trying to make my Custom Membership starting from ASP.NET's. I have a users table created by me which has as Primary Key a Guid UserId, exactly the sames as ASP.NET's default user and membership table. I have all the Foreign Key relationships built. However, I cannot insert the user into my custom users table. The data gets inserted correctly into the default ASP.NET's tables. I have tried the following scenarios: First version Receive the user model from POST call the CreateUser method of the Membership.class (stuff gets inserted) without modifying the user object, I try to insert it using EF's AddObject I receive the following error: "Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'LoweredUserName', table 'asp.dbo.aspnet_Users'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.\r\nThe statement has been terminated."} System.Exception {System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException The error actually makes sense as EF's AddObject doesn't know how to create the LoweredUserName value, and I don't want to do it, this is ASP.NET's job. Second version Receive the user model from POST call the CreateUser method of the Membership.class (stuff gets inserted) Get the Guid of the freshly inserted system user get the ASP.NET's User object and overwrite that of user.User get the ASP.NET's Membership object and overwrite that of user.Membership (remember the FKs) try again EF's AddObject new error {"The relationship between the two objects cannot be defined because they are attached to different ObjectContext objects."} System.Exception {System.InvalidOperationException} Don't know what this is, but it certenly doesn't make any sense for me. After some googleing I think that it has something to do with the context, but as I'm a beginner I don't know how to fix it.     I am building an application that implements a custom view on iPhone’s native media player. I want your help in deciding directions to lay this effort. At present I have find out that iPhone SDK doesn’t support APIs to customize media player. I need these things in the player: I would like to have custom views i.e. want to change all control buttons on player like Play/Pause, seek bar etc. The background of player will also need to be different. The player has to play audio or video file from local/remote location. Can i use MPMoviePlayerController if it can be customized (How to do it ??). However, any other third party player approved by iPhone which has an ability to download and play the media file from local/remote location is also fine. It will be great to have an access to media player buffer so that it can be encrypted. I have following questions: 1.Any help in building/customizing player..... 2.Do you see issues in signing of application? 3.Does Apple have any restrictions on customizing media player? 4.Any sample iPhone application where media player is customized Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

  • Custom model validation of dependent properties using Data Annotations

    Since now I've used the excellent FluentValidation library to validate my model classes. In web applications I use it in conjunction with the jquery.validate plugin to perform client side validation as well. One drawback is that much of the validation logic is repeated on the client side and is no longer centralized at a single place. For this reason I'm looking for an alternative. There are many examples out there showing the usage of data annotations to perform model validation. It looks very promising. One thing I couldn't find out is how to validate a property that depends on another property value. Let's take for example the following model: public class Event { [Required] public DateTime? StartDate { get; set; } [Required] public DateTime? EndDate { get; set; } } I would like to ensure that EndDate is greater than StartDate. I could write a custom validation attribute extending ValidationAttribute in order to perform custom validation logic. Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to obtain the model instance: public class CustomValidationAttribute : ValidationAttribute { public override bool IsValid(object value) { // value represents the property value on which this attribute is applied // but how to obtain the object instance to which this property belongs? return true; } } I found that the CustomValidationAttribute seems to do the job because it has this ValidationContext property that contains the object instance being validated. Unfortunately this attribute has been added only in .NET 4.0. So my question is: can I achieve the same functionality in .NET 3.5 SP1? UPDATE: It seems that FluentValidation already supports clientside validation and metadata in ASP.NET MVC 2. Still it would be good to know though if data annotations could be used to validate dependent properties.

  • PJSIP Custom Registration Header (iOS)

    I am attempting to setup SIP communication with an internal server (using the PJSIP library), however, this server requires a custom header field with a specified header value for the REGISTRATION call. For example's sake we'll call this required header "MyHeader". From what I've found, the pjsua_acc_add() function will add an account and register it to the server using a config struct. The parameter "reg_hdr_list" of the config struct has the description "The optional custom SIP headers to be put in the registration request." Which sounds like exactly what I need, however doesn't seem to have any effect on the call itself. Here's what I have so far: pjsua_acc_config cfg; pjsua_acc_config_default(&cfg); //...Some other config stuff related to the server... pjsip_hdr test; test.name = pj_str("MyHeader"); test.sname = pj_str("MyHdr"); test.type = PJSIP_H_OTHER; test.prev = cfg.reg_hdr_list.prev; test.next = cfg.reg_hdr_list.next; cfg.reg_hdr_list = test; pj_status_t status; status = pjsua_acc_add(&cfg, PJ_TRUE, &acc_id); From the server side, there are no extra header fields or anything. And the struct that is used to define the header (pjsua_hdr) has no "value" or equivalent field, so even if it did create the header, how does it set the value?     Hi all, i'm creating custom title for activity by disabling standard one and managing everything myself. I wonder if it's possible to replace/theme standart title to my needs. I can customize size, background image, and text via themes by changing windowXYZStyle items. The only thing i couldn't find - how i can add image instead of text. I've tried requestWindowFeature(Window.FEATURE_CUSTOM_TITLE) and assign custom layout - but it doesn't seems to work.   • Asynchronous Image loading in certain custom UITableViewCells

    So, I'm sure that this issue has been brought up before, but I haven't quite seen a solution for my specific problem. What I'm doing is loading a group of custom UITableViewCell's that are drawn using Loren Brichter's solution, each cell has some content, an icon (representing the user) that is asynchronously loaded into it, and a few other things. Eventually, I'm hoping to add support for images. Not every cell has an image, so in the creation of the cell, it determines if an image is required to be loaded and drawn into the cell. My problem is that I don't know how I can do that while keeping the image loaded asynchronously - with not every cell having the need to load an image (like needed with the icon) I'm not sure how to keep it in order when an cell is thrown off screen and re-rendered when the user scrolls over it. Each cell draws it content from an NSArray containing a custom object called FeedItem. All I'm really looking for is some sort of solution or idea to help me because right now I am at a loss. I placed a regular UIView from the Interface Library onto the full-sized view shown to the user, and then changed it's class name to PricingDataView. It all builds, but at runtime, nothing is rendered where my custom view is supposed to be. I put breakpoints in PricingDataView.initWithFrame, but they don't hit, so I know I'm missing something that would cause the view to be initialized. What I'm curious about is that int the process of loading my other views from nibs, all the initialization happens for me, but not with this one. Why?

Is there a way to create a tag that looks similar like this: <div id="site"> <div id="header">Some title</div> <div id="navigation"> SOME DYNAMIC CONTENT HERE </div> <div id="content"> ${content} </div> <div id="footer"></div> </div> and use it like this: <mytags:template> <h1>Title</h1> <p>My content!</p> </mytags:template> i.e. use body-content inside a custom JSTL-tag... This works: <mytags:template content="some content... not HTML" /> but is not very useful in our case.
