  • Disabling repeating keyboard down event in as3

    now I'm trying to make the keyboard events to stop repeating. My idea was to have a true and false condition for when the key is pressed so that it wont repeat if the key is down already. //Mouse Event Over keyCButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, function(){gotoAndStop(2)}); //Variable var Qkey:uint = 81; //Key Down Event stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, keydown); var soundplayed = false; function keydown(event:KeyboardEvent){ if (event.keyCode==Qkey) { this.soundplayed=true;} } if (this.soundplayed==false){ gotoAndPlay(3); } else {} //Key Up Event stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_UP, keyup); function keyup(event:KeyboardEvent){ if (event.keyCode==Qkey) { this.soundplayed=true; gotoAndStop(1); } } doing this just turns off the key event I think i need to add a "&& keyDown..." to "if (this.soundplayed==true)" but i dont know how to do it without getting errors here is the keyboard player i'm trying to fix http://soulseekrecords.org/psysci/animation/piano.html

    In my iPhone app I am developing, I have defined two windows: @interface The_NoteAppDelegate : NSObject <UIApplicationDelegate> { IBOutlet UIWindow *newNoteWindow; IBOutlet UIWindow *homeWindow; } @property (nonatomic, retain) UIWindow *newNoteWindow; @property (nonatomic, retain) UIWindow *homeWindow; and they are linked correctly in IB - but how do I show/hide these windows? [homeWindow makeKeyAndVisible]; works in appDidFinishLaunching but when I try [newNoteWindow makeKeyAndVisible]; again to open the other window (on a button touch event) in front of the other, the app freezes. I know this is a very n00by question but please help me out :)

I wanna get some data from oracle server like: 1-get all the function,package,procedure and etc for showing them or drop them & etc... 2-compile my *.sql files,get the result if they have problem & etc... becuz I was beginner in oracle first of all I for solve the second problem I try to connect to sqlPlus by RUN sqlplus and trace the output(I mean,I change the output stream of shell and trace what happend and handle the assigned message to customer. NOW THIS PART SUCCEED. just a little bit I have problem with get all result because the output is asynchronous.any way... [in this case I log in to oracle Server by send argument to the sqlplus by make a process in c#] after that I try to get all function,package or procedure name,but I have problem in speed!so I try to use oracle.DataAccess.dll to connect the database. now I m so confusing about: which way is correct way to build a program that work like Oracle Developer! I do not have any experience for like these program how work. If Your answer is I must use the second way follow this part plz: I search a little bit the Golden,PLedit (Benthic software),I have little bit problem how I must create the connection string?because I thinking about how I can find the host name or port number that oracle work on them?? am I need read the TNSNames.Ora file? The problem is that the NIB file is the main application NIB that gets loaded automatically by the application and therefore I cannot set up the UINibProxiedObjectsKey dictionary as described in the documentation. Is there a way to set up a proxy object in the main application NIB? Or can I tap into the code that loads the main application NIB?

  • flex data provider not working if XML has single node value or less

    hello, i get this error when i retrieve an XML that only has 1 node (no repeating nodes) and i try to store in an ArrayCollection. -When I have MORE than 1 "name" nodes...i do NOT get an error. My test show that XMLListCollection does NOT work either. TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert "XXXXXX" to mx.collections.ArrayCollection. this error occurs as the line of code: myList= e.result.list.name; Why can't ArrayCollection work with a single node? I'm using this ArrayCollection as a dataprovider for a Component -is there an alternative I can use that will take BOTH single and repeating nodes as well as work as a dataprovider?     Hello all, I am trying to display a text field that has text inside it, and display the flashing Caret at the end of the text. I have tried the following: Code: // ti_title is my textField stage.focus = ti_title; ti_title.setSelection( ti_title.length, ti_title.length ); I have also tried: // ti_title is my textField ti_title.stage.focus = ti_title; ti_title.setSelection( ti_title.length, ti_title.length ); The field is focused because I can type into it, but I do not see a Caret until I have started typing. This is not very good for usability. I have even tried removing text then re-adding it and then setting the selection again, but still not working. Any ideas? all the best nG
