I have many columns in oracle database and some new are added with values. I like to find out which columns have values other than 0 or null. So I am looking for column names for which some sort of useful values exists at least in one row.
How do I do this?
Update: This sounds very close. How do I modify this to suit my needs?
select column_name, nullable, num_distinct, num_nulls
from all_tab_columns
where table_name = 'SOME_TABLE'
The user will have a static list of items to choose from. Using a Picker View they will choose one of the items and then select how many of them they want.
Whats the best way to save this in core data? A Struct?
struct order {
NSInteger item;
NSInteger numberOf;
};
Or some sort of relationship?
Many Thanks
The goal is to have an application that runs in the system tray and can either accept user input from its actual GUI (which isn't the actual issue) OR accept command line parameters (that would actually be done via a context menu in windows explorer). Now, while I'm aware that the command line parameters are not exactly possible once the application has started, I need a way to pass data to the already running application instance via some form of handler. I'm thinking maybe define and raise some sort of event?
Thanks in advance.
Hi, I'm getting up to speed with Flex and I am looking for any example of implementing a drag and drop re-sort within a vbox container. Basically I have a Vbox that contains a number of canvas's that are full width and 35px high. I want to be able to drag and drop them to re-order within the vbox.
Any help is greatly appreciated - thanks,
b
Say I have the following piece of java code
ArrayList<Double> myList = new Double[100];
for (Double x : myList)
x = randomDouble();
Does this actually modify myList or just the dummy variable?
I realize I should just try this code segment out, but I think this is the sort of thing I should be able to google or search for on this site, and several queries so far have turned up nothing useful.
I need to compress a string so it is shorter for a GET method form. Is there any way to compress a string and it will be decrypted later? That way...
?error=LOTS OF STUFFLOTS OF STUFFLOTS OF STUFFLOTS OF STUFFLOTS OF STUFF
is shorter in some sort of key
?error=somekey
so I can get back the result later. Not using MySQL preferably.
Anyone know a good method for this?
I'm really banging my head onto this one. I can't make the Custom Configuration to work with NUnit. It kept on failing to read the configuration file.
I followed carefully this article: http://devlicio.us/blogs/derik_whittaker/archive/2006/11/13/app-config-and-custom-configuration-sections.aspx
placed the references in the Unit test class App.Config, still everything failed.
Is there some sort of a magic setting to do here?
In some languages (ColdFusion comes to mind), you can run a query on the result set from a previous query. Is it possible to do something like that in php (with MySQL as the database)?
I sort of want to do:
$rs1 = do_query( "SELECT * FROM animals WHERE type = 'fish'" );
$rs2 = do_query( "SELECT * FROM rs1 WHERE name = 'trout'" );
Another newbie question: What's the best way to store data in a Cocoa application written in Obj-C? For example if I want to create a sort of "quizzer" that quizzes the user with pre-written (and user-written) questions? How would I store these questions and answers? Core Data?
Thanks!
I have a SortedDictionary as defined like this:
SortedDictionary<TPriority, Queue<TValue>> dict;
But I want to sort the keys in reverse order. I assume I need set the Comparer, but what comparer do I use for a generic TPriority? Note that TPriority implements IComparable.
I'm parsing Xml data which has entries like this:
<item name="UserText" type_name="gh_string" type_code="10"> </item>
I'm supposed to read the 6 spaces as a String, but both the InnerText and InnerXml values of the System.Xml.XmlNode are zero length Strings.
Is there any way I can get at this whitespace data in existing files and what do I need to do in the future to prevent this sort of screw up?
If you have a C++ project that has a bunch of .ODL files and the generated .h files from the ODL compiler, should doxygen be told to parse both .odl and .h, or only one or the other? In general I don't like documenting generated code but IDL is sort of a special case.
In any case, it seems like the member listing of ODL files is not quite working properly in my tests, are ODL files properly parsed?
i'm trying to get a list of the most recent used applications. NSWorkspace returns me a list of active applications and i can sort them on a few options using NSRunningApplication. see list below:
launchDate
finishedLaunching
processIdentifier
i dont want the lauch date but the recent 'active' date (like the way cmd-tab sorts).
Does anyone knows the solution for this?
I am building a custom CMS in ASP.NET MVC and one of the requirements is that the content has a start and end date that dictates whether or not the page appears on the site. What is the best approach to this? Should I run some sort of chron job to mark the status of the page according to its publish dates? Does anyone have any resources or advice on the matter?
I want images that gradually "gradient" to blend in with the background color (white/transparent) as it gets to the bottom. Is there a way I can apply a CSS3 gradient or some sort of gradual transparency using CSS3 to the bottom edges of the image so it looks like its fading into the background color? I know I can make images with some photoeditor to achieve that effect, but I am curious to know if CSS3 can accomplish it.
I have a cell that takes the time value from another cell. I want to include an addition of this time as well as a dash '-' to format the time into a sort of schedule.
Example:
userinput cell: 5:00 AM
Formated cell (how I would like it to look): 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
What would the function be to get something like this?
Sorry for the long title, I didn't know how to make it any shorter.
My code:
My model:
public class CarFilter {
public String carMake { get; set; }
public String carModel { get; set; }
public String carEdition { get; set; }
.
.
.
public String SortBy { get; set; }
}
public class CarSearch : CarFilter {
public List<Car> Car { get; set; }
}
My controller:
public ActionResult SearchResult(CarSearch search)
{
var cars = from d in db.Cars
select d;
if (Request.HttpMethod == "POST")
{
search.SortBy = "Price";
}
search.Car = new List<Car>();
search.Car.AddRange(cars);
var temp = new List<CarSearch>();
temp.Add(search);
return View(temp);
}
My Index view (where user filters results):
@model IEnumerable<Cars.Models.CarSearch>
@using (Html.BeginForm("SearchResult", "Home", FormMethod.Post)){..forms and other stuff..}
My SearchResult view (where user sees the results of filtration):
@model IEnumerable<Cars.Models.CarSearch>
@using (Html.BeginForm("SearchResult", "Home", FormMethod.Get))
{
@Html.Hidden("carMake")
@Html.Hidden("carModel")
@Html.Hidden("carEdition")
.
.
.
@Html.Hidden("SortBy", temp.SortBy)
<input name="SortBy" class="buttons" type="submit" value="Make"/>
My goal
What I'm trying to do is when user clicked on sort by Make it will have to GET back all the variables in hidden field back to the SearchResult action in order to sort the result (same filtered results).
Result
Is: <input id="SortBy" name="SortBy" type="hidden" value=""/>. The value is null and it's not being passed but all the other hidden fields such as carMake and etc have value. But when I use foreach it works perfect.
Question
Why is this like this? the SortBy is in the same model class as other fields in the view. The only difference is that SortBy is not being filled in the Index view with other fields, instead it's being filled in controller action. What is the explanation for this? Am I missing any C# definition or something such as dynamic objects or something?
I'd like to write a templated function which changes its behavior depending on template class types passed in. To do this, I'd like to determine the type passed in. For example, something like this:
template <class T>
void foo() {
if (T == int) { // Sadly, this sort of comparison doesn't work
printf("Template parameter was int\n");
} else if (T == char) {
printf("Template parameter was char\n");
}
}
Is this possible?
I have an XSD document that I need to communicate with an endpoint (client side only) - is there this functionality built into spring? I have been using JAXB, but was wondering if spring has some sort of wrapper. Thanks.
How can I view and override the full definition for built in classes? I have seen the library docs but am looking for something more.
For e.g. is it possible to override the Array Class such that the base index starts from 1 instead of 0, or to override .sort() of list to a sorting algorithm of my own liking?
It has to be self contained, some sort of Erlang runtime library, and the BEAM files. This is so that anyone can run the program with one click, by running a .exe off a network drive, without having to install Erlang or anything else.
i have passportno(varchar) in database.
i am entering values like this 001,002,003. and i want to display like sorting order.
now i wrote query like this "select * from passport_registration where status=1 ORDER BY passportno" then displaying output like this......077,088,099,100,1000,1001,1009,101,1010
i want to diplay sort order. how to do?
hi all
