  • Disable MySQL general logging without restarting?

    - by shantanuo
Can I disable general logging completely without restarting the server? Because, per the documentation: SET sql_log_bin = {0|1} Disables or enables binary logging for the current connection (sql_log_bin is a session variable) if the client has the SUPER privilege. The statement is refused with an error if the client does not have that privilege. Can I enable/disable general log without restarting MySQL?

  • HG takes too much time to push

    - by phmr
I commited a lot of files locally (including binary files removing & adding...) and now when I try to push it takes a lot of time. Actually I messed up my local repo history. How could I avoid this mistake in the future ? Can I transform a set of local revision 1-2-3-4 to 1-2 with 2 being the final revision of the local clone ?

  • Any software to auto generate doxygen comment blocks?

    - by Simone Margaritelli
Hello, i'm developing a quite big C++ software and now (better late than neve :)) i've decided to document it in the doxy standards. There are plenty of classes, methods, functions, macros and so on therefore i'm searching for a software that would scan my source tree and insert doxy comment blocks on top of every "documentable item" to let me edit them later and add details such as methods description and so on. Some hint?

  • Treeview drag and drop

    - by David Thorisson
I'm using the jQuery droppable/dragable to reorder a treeview (made up of ul/li items) I have no problems making a element and dragging it into the tree When I define the items to be draggable, the code doesn´t work any more (the items are classed as "droppables" but the drop event won´t run) Isn't this supposed to be possible?

  • Commit changes to a different branch than the currently checked out branch with subversion

    - by Paul Alexander
I've been working on code checked out from the development line and discovered that the changes made might be breaking changes and need to be moved to an experimental branch before committing to the main dev tree. However, I don't have the experimental branch checked out and I don't want to loose the changes that have already been made. Is there a way to commit the changes in the working folder to a different branch than originally checked out?

  • Automatically Sizing an ASP.NET Treeview Control

    - by Robert Harvey
Is there a way to automatically resize a TreeView control so that when it is rendered (or re-rendered, if a node is expanded), the TreeView automatically resizes itself to match the overall height of the tree? The purpose of this is to eliminate the scroll bar that accompanies the TreeView, so that the treeview blends seamlessly into the background.

  • TreeView Root Node Style

    - by ScG
I have a tree view <asp:TreeView ID="TreeView1" runat="server" DataSourceID="SiteMapDataSource1" ShowExpandCollapse="False"> </asp:TreeView> As you can see, root node is hidden. However when the treenode gets rendered, there is a whitespace to the left of each leafnode. This is probably because the root node is hidden but is taking up space. How do i remove that white space.

  • Is there a compiled* programming language with dynamic, maybe even weak typing?

    - by sub
I wondered if there is a programming language which compiles to machine code/binary (not bytecode then executed by a VM, that's something completely different when considering typing) that features dynamic and/or weak typing, e.g: Think of a compiled language where: Variables don't need to be declared Variables can be created doing runtime Functions can return values of different types Questions: Is there such a programming language? (Why) not? I think that a dynamically yet strong typed, compiled language would really sense, but is it possible?

  • How to use bundler gem binaries in path

    - by Sean Chambers
I just started using bundler for gem packaging in vendor/. The problem is with certain gems (like rspec and cucumber) that have binaries. The binary path that is under my_app/vendor/gems/ruby/1.8/...cucumber-0.6.2/bin/ is not in my path, therefore when I go to run cucumber i get command cannot be found. What is the easiest way to execute the bundled gem binaries from within the app rather than adding a large number of folders to my path? Thanks

    - by Jerome WAGNER
Hello, I have a schema schema1 in a postgres database A. I want to have a duplicate of this schema (model + data) in database B under the name schema2. What are my options ? I currently : * dump schema1 from database A * sed my way through schema renaming in the dump : schema1 becomes schema2 * restore schema2 in database B but I am looking for a more efficient procedure. For instance, via direct file operations on postgres binary files. Thanks for your help Jerome Wagner

How do I create a UNMODIFIED hex dump of a binary file in linux with bash? The od and hexdump commands both insert spaces in the dump, I DON'T WANT THIS, I need something that will simply write a long string with all the hex characters without inserting spaces or newlines in the output. How do I do this in bash?

  • How to add dynamically a component in JSF2 during an Ajax request.

    - by Guillaume
Hello, I am currently trying to dynamically add a new component to the JSF component tree during an ajax request. In fact I add a child to the UIViewRoot component in my AjaxBehaviorListener which is fired on server side during the ajax request process. The issue is that the new component is not rendered. It seems that this component is not taken into account in the render response phase. Could you help me on this issue ? Regards, Guillaume

  • Python Code Introspection and Analysis

    - by oneself
Hi, I am trying to write a Python code analyzer, and I am trying to avoid having to parse bare Python text files. I was hoping that once the Python compiler/interpreter parses the code there's a way to get to the object code or parse tree from within a running Python program. Is there anyway to do this? Thank you
