  • How to manage a large dataset using Spring MySQL and RowCallbackHandler

    - by rmarimon
    I'm trying to go over each row of a table in MySQL using Spring and a JdbcTemplate. If I'm not mistaken this should be as simple as: JdbcTemplate template = new JdbcTemplate(datasource); template.setFetchSize(1); // template.setFetchSize(Integer.MIN_VALUE) does not work either template.query("SELECT * FROM cdr", new RowCallbackHandler() { public void processRow(ResultSet rs) throws SQLException { System.out.println(rs.getString("src")); } }); I get an OutOfMemoryError because it is trying to read the whole thing. Any ideas?

  • XSLT Global count of grouped items

    - by Chris
    Hi there, I have a set of items which i am grouping using the muenchian method using keys. This is working great however when i try to do things with the first x number of items it is doing it on the x number of items in each group rather than across the whole set of results. How would i get the individual position of each item accross the whole collection? <xsl:key name="pictures-by-productid" match="/dsQueryResponse/Rows/Row" use="@ProductId" /> <xsl:template match="/"> <div style="border:1px solid red; float:left;"> <xsl:apply-templates select="/" mode="sub"> </xsl:apply-templates> </div> </xsl:template> and the second template <xsl:template match="/" mode="sub"> <xsl:for-each select="/dsQueryResponse/Rows/Row[count(. | key('pictures-by-productid', @ProductId)[1]) = 1]"> <xsl:for-each select="key('pictures-by-productid', @ProductId)"> <xsl:sort select="@PictureType" /> <div style="float:left; margin:2px;"> <img src="{@ThumbNailUrl}" width="58" /> <br /> Download <xsl:number value="position()" format="1. " /> <xsl:value-of select="." /> </div> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:template> Thanks Chris

  • why this Javascript function doesn't work?

    - by udaya
    I use the following javascript function, function get_check_value(formId,checkboxId,TxtboxId) { alert(formId); var c_value = ""; for (var i=0; i < document.formId.checkboxId.length; i++) { if (document.formId.checkboxId[i].checked) { c_value = c_value + document.formId.checkboxId[i].value + "\n"; } } alert(c_value); document.getElementById(TxtboxId).value= c_value; // alert(c_value.value); } and my php page has this, <form name="orderform" id="orderform"> <input type="text" name="chId" id="chId" > <table align="center" border="0"> <tr> <td>Country</td> </tr> <? foreach($country as $row){ ?> <tr> <td><?= $row['dbCountry']; ?></td> <td><input type="checkbox" name="CountrycheckId" id="CountrycheckId" value="<?= $row['dbCountryId']; ?> " onClick="get_check_value('orderform','CountrycheckId','chId')"></td> <? } ?> </tr> </table> </form> I am getting formname,checkboxid,textid in alerts inside the javascript function... But the problem is with the line for (var i=0; i < document.formId.checkboxId.length; i++) Webdeveloper toolbar shows this error document.formId is undefined

  • Binary Search Tree Implementation

    I've searched the forum, and tried to implement the code in the threads I found. • Office Automation: What does destroy my encoding?

    - by Filburt
    I'm facing a problem with a Word Mail Merge Automation controlled by our CRM system. The setup Base for the Mail Merge is a Word .dot template which fires a macro on Document.New. Inside this macro I create a .Net component registered for COM. Set myCOMObject = CreateObject("MyCOMObject") The component pulls some data from a database and hands string values which are assigned to Word DocumentVariables. Set someClass = myCOMObject.GetSomeClass(123) ActiveDocument.Variables("docaddress") = someClass.GetSenderAddress(456) All string values returned from the component are encoded in UTF-8 (codepage 1200). What happens The problem arises when the CRM system calls Word to perform the Mail Merge: The string values from the component are turned into UTF-8 encoded strings. All the static text inside the template and the data pulled for the Mail Merge stay nicely encoded in UTF-16 - example the umlaut ü inside my DocumentVariables is turned into c3 b0 while it stays fc for the rest of the document (checked file in hex editor). If I'm creating a document from a template with the same macro functionallity but without performing a Mail Merge all strings are fine; i.e. are encoded in UTF-16. What changed According to the CRM software vendor the encoding of the Mail Merge data export was changed to UTF-16 with the new version we're currently testing. I found out that MS states that you'll expirience issues when the document and the Mail Merge data file encoding don't match. What I tried Since I'm assuming to merge with UTF-16 encoded data I added the following lines to my macro: ActiveDocument.TextEncoding = msoEncodingWestern ActiveDocument.SaveEncoding = msoEncodingUnicodeLittleEndian This is what the Mail Merge data document specifies in its document properties.

  • Trying to use an Xslt for an xml in asp.net

    - by Josemalive
    Hello, i have the following xslt sheet: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0"> <xsl:variable name="nhits" select="Answer[@nhits]"></xsl:variable> <xsl:output method="html" indent="yes"/> <xsl:template match="/"> <div> <xsl:call-template name="resultsnumbertemplate"/> </div> </xsl:template> <xsl:template name="resultsnumbertemplate"> <xsl:value-of select="$nhits"/> matches found </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> And this is the xml that im trying to mix with the previous xslt: <Answer xmlns="exa:com.exalead.search.v10" context="n%3Dsl-ocu%26q%3Dlavadoras" last="9" estimated="false" nmatches="219" nslices="0" nhits="219" start="0"> <time> <Time interrupted="false" overall="32348" parse="0" spell="0" exec="1241" synthesis="15302" cats="14061" kwds="14061"> <sliceTimes>15272 </sliceTimes> </Time> </time> </Answer> Im using a xslcompiledtransform and that's working fine: XslCompiledTransform transformer = new XslCompiledTransform(); transformer.Load(HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("xslt\\" + requestvariables["xslsheet"].ToString())); transformer.Transform(xmlreader, null, writer); My problems comes when im trying to put into a variable the "nhits" attribute value placed on the Answer element, but i'm not rendering anything using my xslt sheet. Do you know what could be the cause? Could be the xmlns attribute in my xml file? Thanks in advance. Best Regards. Jose

  • Silverlight file download for COM Interop

    - by rip
    Is the following possible in Silverlight when a button is clicked? An Excel template is downloaded from a remote server and saved to the local machine An instance of the template is then opened on the client A macro is then executed within the new Excel document I can do everything apart from saving the template to the local machine. I can save this in isolated storage but then I don’t know where this is when trying to open it from the Excel COM interop code. Has anyone any ideas or is this not possible?

  • What is causing my HTTP server to fail with "exit status -1073741819"?

    - by Keeblebrox
    As an exercise I created a small HTTP server that generates random game mechanics, similar to this one. I wrote it on a Windows 7 (32-bit) system and it works flawlessly. However, when I run it on my home machine, Windows 7 (64-bit), it always fails with the same message: exit status -1073741819. I haven't managed to find anything on the web which references that status code, so I don't know how important it is. Here's code for the server, with redundancy abridged: package main import ( "fmt" "math/rand" "time" "net/http" "html/template" ) // Info about a game mechanic type MechanicInfo struct { Name, Desc string } // Print a mechanic as a string func (m MechanicInfo) String() string { return fmt.Sprintf("%s: %s", m.Name, m.Desc) } // A possible game mechanic var ( UnkillableObjects = &MechanicInfo{"Avoiding Unkillable Objects", "There are objects that the player cannot touch. These are different from normal enemies because they cannot be destroyed or moved."} //... Race = &MechanicInfo{"Race", "The player must reach a place before the opponent does. Like \"Timed\" except the enemy as a \"timer\" can be slowed down by the player's actions, or there may be multiple enemies being raced against."} ) // Slice containing all game mechanics var GameMechanics []*MechanicInfo // Pseudorandom number generator var prng *rand.Rand // Get a random mechanic func RandMechanic() *MechanicInfo { i := prng.Intn(len(GameMechanics)) return GameMechanics[i] } // Initialize the package func init() { prng = rand.New(rand.NewSource(time.Now().Unix())) GameMechanics = make([]*MechanicInfo, 34) GameMechanics[0] = UnkillableObjects //... GameMechanics[33] = Race } // serving var index = template.Must(template.ParseFiles( "templates/_base.html", "templates/index.html", )) func randMechHandler(w http.ResponseWriter, req *http.Request) { mechanics := [3]*MechanicInfo{RandMechanic(), RandMechanic(), RandMechanic()} if err := index.Execute(w, mechanics); err != nil { http.Error(w, err.Error(), http.StatusInternalServerError) } } func main() { http.HandleFunc("/", randMechHandler) if err := http.ListenAndServe(":80", nil); err != nil { panic(err) } } In addition, the unabridged code, the _base.html template, and the index.html template. What could be causing this issue? Is there a process for debugging a cryptic exit status like this?

  • Mixins, variadic templates, and CRTP in C++

    - by Eitan
    Here's the scenario: I'd like to have a host class that can have a variable number of mixins (not too hard with variadic templates--see for example http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/summary?doi=10.1.1.103.144). However, I'd also like the mixins to be parameterized by the host class, so that they can refer to its public types (using the CRTP idiom). The problem arises when trying to mix the too--the correct syntax is unclear to me. For example, the following code fails to compile with g++ 4.4.1: template <template<class> class... Mixins> class Host : public Mixins<Host<Mixins>>... { public: template <class... Args> Host(Args&&... args) : Mixins<Host>(std::forward<Args>(args))... {} }; template <class Host> struct Mix1 {}; template <class Host> struct Mix2 {}; typedef Host<Mix1, Mix2> TopHost; TopHost *th = new TopHost(Mix1<TopHost>(), Mix2<TopHost>()); With the error: tst.cpp: In constructor ‘Host<Mixins>::Host(Args&& ...) [with Args = Mix1<Host<Mix1, Mix2> >, Mix2<Host<Mix1, Mix2> >, Mixins = Mix1, Mix2]’: tst.cpp:33: instantiated from here tst.cpp:18: error: type ‘Mix1<Host<Mix1, Mix2> >’ is not a direct base of ‘Host<Mix1, Mix2>’ tst.cpp:18: error: type ‘Mix2<Host<Mix1, Mix2> >’ is not a direct base of ‘Host<Mix1, Mix2>’ Does anyone have successful experience mixing variadic templates with CRTP?

  • Rendering sass template from a sinatra app doesn't work. Is this due to v.1 incompatibility? Workaro

    - by aaandre
    get '/stylesheets/style.css' do header 'Content-Type' => 'text/css; charset=utf-8' sass :style end does not produce the stylesheet anymore. What would be a version 1.0 compatible way to do this? Or, troubleshooting suggestions if you think that the issue is with the code? The style.sass file is in the /views folder. Haml files from the same folder render OK. Thank you.

  • How can I match a twitter username with angular ui router

What I have are routes like the following $stateProvider .state('home', {url:'/', templateUrl:'/template/path.html'}) .state('author', {url:'/{username:[regex-to-match-@username-here]}'}) .state('info', {url:'/:slug', templateUrl:'/template/path.html'}) .state('entry', {url:'/:type/:slug', templateUrl:'/template/path.html'}); I need a bit of regex for the 'author' route that will match @usernames. Currently, everything I try is caught by the 'entry' route.

  • what libraries or platforms should I use to build web apps that provide real-time, asynchronous data

    - by Daniel Sterling
    This is a less a question with a simple, practical answer and more a question to foster discussion on the real-time data exchange topic. I'll begin with an example: Google Wave is, at its core, a real-time asynchronous data synchronization engine. Wave supports (or plans to support) concurrent (real-time) document collaboration, disconnected (offline) document editing, conflict resolution, document history and playback with attribution, and server federation. A core part of Wave is the Operational Transformation engine: http://www.waveprotocol.org/whitepapers/operational-transform The OT engine manages document state. Changes between clients are merged and each client has a sane and consistent view of the document at all times; the final document is eventually consistent between all connected clients. My question is: is this system abstract or general enough to be used as a library or generic framework upon which to build web apps that synchronize real-time, asynchronous state in each client? Is the Wave protocol directly used by any current web applications (besides Google's client)? Would it make sense to directly use it for generic state synchronization in a web app? What other existing libraries or frameworks would you consider using when building such a web app? How much code in such an app might be domain-specific logic vs generic state synchronization logic? Or, put another way, how leaky might the state synchronization abstractions be? Comments and discussion welcomed!

  • PHP Inverting content adding (sorting)

    - by Adrian
    Hello, I have this code which will include "template.php" file from inside each of these folders: "content/templates/id1", "content/templates/id2", "content/templates/id3" etc. etc. $page_file = basename(__FILE__, ".php"); require("content/" . $page_file . "/content.php"); $iterator = new RecursiveIteratorIterator( new RecursiveDirectoryIterator($page_path), RecursiveIteratorIterator::SELF_FIRST); foreach($iterator as $file) { if($file->isDir()) { include strtoupper($file . '/template.php'); } } This code works pretty well, the problem is I want to inverse the content adding, meaning that I want first "content/templates/id9/template.php" included before "id8/template.php" and so on till the first.. How can I do this by modifying the code above? A million thanks!

  • can these be made unambiguous

    - by R Samuel Klatchko
    I'm trying to create a set of overloaded templates for arrays/pointers where one template will be used when the compiler knows the size of the array and the other template will be used when it doesn't: template <typename T, size_t SZ> void moo(T (&arr)[SZ]) { ... } template <typename T> void moo(T *ptr) { ... } The problem is that when the compiler knows the size of the array, the overloads are ambiguous and the compile fails. Is there some way to resolve the ambiguity (perhaps via SFINAE) or is this just not possible.

  • How to properly use references with variadic templates

    - by Hippicoder
    I have something like the following code: template<typename T1, typename T2, typename T3> void inc(T1& t1, T2& t2, T3& t3) { ++t1; ++t2; ++t3; } template<typename T1, typename T2> void inc(T1& t1, T2& t2) { ++t1; ++t2; } template<typename T1> void inc(T1& t1) { ++t1; } I'd like to reimplement it using the proposed variadic templates from the upcoming standard. However all the examples I've seen so far online seem to be printf like examples, the difference here seems to be the use of references. I've come up with the following: template<typename T> void inc(T&& t) { ++t; } template<typename T,typename ... Args> void inc(T&& t, Args&& ... args) { ++t inc(args...); } What I'd like to know is: Should I be using r-values instead of references? Possible hints or clues as to how to accomplish what I want correctly. What guarantees does the new proposed standard provide wrt the issue of the recursive function calls, is there some indication that the above variadic version will be as optimal as the original? (should I add inline or some-such?)

  • highlight the text of the DOM range element,

    - by ganapati
    I am able to highlight the text on the HTML page(rendered through gtkmozembed), which is selected, like below. var range, sel; if (window.getSelection) { sel = window.getSelection(); if (sel.getRangeAt) { range = sel.getRangeAt(0); } document.designMode = "on"; if (range) { sel.removeAllRanges(); sel.addRange(range); } document.execCommand("HiliteColor", false, colour); document.designMode = "off"; } Well,it works very fine.Now i am trying to store the information(startNode, startOffset,endNode, endOffset) about the highlighted text, and next time when i open the same page,highlight the same text. I am able to successfully store the info and retrieve them when the same page opens. And i am trying to highlight the text using following code. var range = document.createRange(); range.setStart(startNode, startOffset); range.setEnd(endNode, endOffset); document.designMode = "on"; range.execCommand("HiliteColor", false, colour); document.designMode = "off"; But it is not working as i am expecting. Can anyone help me to achieve the required? Thanks...

    Good Afternoon All, I'm having trouble integrating this template into my rails application. I've changes all the images and loaded all the files into their relevant areas. However they still have the subdirectories. Does anyone know of a guide I can walk through which might explain how you do this, especially to include the revolution-slider which has a whole subdirectory of CSS and images. • How to save highlighting to a database

    - by vman
    Hi I am trying to highlight a part of the text on my website. This highlighted text will be saved for the specific user in a database and when the document is opened again it will show the previously highlighted text. I assumed I would be using javascript to highlight the text but I cannot seem to find a way to pinpoint where the word is that I am highlighting. function getSelText() { var txt = ''; if (window.getSelection) { txt = window.getSelection(); } else if (document.getSelection) { txt = document.getSelection(); } else if (document.selection) { txt = document.selection.createRange().text; } else return ""; return txt; } I am using that to get the selection but I cannot figure out where the selection is in the text. The biggest annoyance is when I have duplicates within the line or text so if I were to use search then I would find the first instance and not the one I was looking for. So the question is : How do you pinpoint a word or a selection in the entire document?

  • Convert JavaScript to jQuery

    - by bloggerious
    I have the following JavaScript code which I like to convert to jQuery but has no luck. I would like to convert it to jQuery specifically beginning from this: <?php if(Voting_Method == 2){ if (mnmxmlhttp[htmlid].readyState == 4) { xvotesString[htmlid] = mnmxmlhttp[htmlid].responseText; if (xvotesString[htmlid].match (errormatch)) { xvotesString[htmlid] = xvotesString[htmlid].substring (6, xvotesString[htmlid].length); <?php if(Voting_Method == 1){ echo "changemnmvalues (htmlid, value, true);"; }?> } else { <?php if(Voting_Method == 2){ echo "var mySplitResult = xvotesString[htmlid].split('~');\n"; echo "target3 = document.getElementById ('xvote-' + htmlid);\n"; echo "target3.style.width = mySplitResult[0] + 'px';\n"; echo "if (target4 = document.getElementById ('mnma-' + htmlid))"; echo " target4.innerHTML = mySplitResult[1];\n"; echo "if (target5 = document.getElementById ('mnmb-' + htmlid))"; echo " target5.innerHTML = mySplitResult[2];\n"; echo "if (target6 = document.getElementById ('mnmc-' + htmlid))"; echo " target6.style.display='none'; \n"; echo "if (target6 = document.getElementById ('mnmd-' + htmlid))"; echo " target6.style.display='block'; \n"; echo "target7 = document.getElementById ('xvotes-' + htmlid);\n"; echo "target7.className = 'star-rating-noh';\n"; }?> <?php if(Voting_Method == 1){ echo 'if (xvotesString[htmlid].substring (1, 6) == "ERROR") { '; echo "alert(xvotesString[htmlid]); } else {"; echo "changemnmvalues (htmlid, value, false); } "; }?> } Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Preventing a button from responding to 'Enter' in ASP.net

    - by kd7iwp
    I have a master template that all the pages on my site use. In the template there is an empty panel. In the code-behind for the page an imagebutton is created in the panel dynamically in my Page_Load section (makes a call to the DB to determine which button should appear via my controller). On some pages that use this template and have forms on them, pressing the Enter key fires the click event on this imagebutton rather than the submit button in the form. Is there a simple way to prevent the imagebutton click event from firing unless it's clicked by the mouse? I'm thinking a javascript method is a hack, especially since the button doesn't even exist in the master template until the button is dynamically created on Page_Load (this is ugly since I can't simply do <% =btnName.ClientId %> to refer to the button's name in my aspx page). I tried setting a super-high tabindex for the image button and that did nothing. Also set the button to be the DefaultButton in its panel on the master template but that did not work either.

  • Why does SFINAE not apply to this?

    - by Simon Buchan
    I'm writing some simple point code while trying out Visual Studio 10 (Beta 2), and I've hit this code where I would expect SFINAE to kick in, but it seems not to: template<typename T> struct point { T x, y; point(T x, T y) : x(x), y(y) {} }; template<typename T, typename U> struct op_div { typedef decltype(T() / U()) type; }; template<typename T, typename U> point<typename op_div<T, U>::type> operator/(point<T> const& l, point<U> const& r) { return point<typename op_div<T, U>::type>(l.x / r.x, l.y / r.y); } template<typename T, typename U> point<typename op_div<T, U>::type> operator/(point<T> const& l, U const& r) { return point<typename op_div<T, U>::type>(l.x / r, l.y / r); } int main() { point<int>(0, 1) / point<float>(2, 3); } This gives error C2512: 'point<T>::point' : no appropriate default constructor available Given that it is a beta, I did a quick sanity check with the online comeau compiler, and it agrees with an identical error, so it seems this behavior is correct, but I can't see why. In this case some workarounds are to simply inline the decltype(T() / U()), to give the point class a default constructor, or to use decltype on the full result expression, but I got this error while trying to simplify an error I was getting with a version of op_div that did not require a default constructor*, so I would rather fix my understanding of C++ rather than to just do what works. Thanks! *: the original: template<typename T, typename U> struct op_div { static T t(); static U u(); typedef decltype(t() / u()) type; }; Which gives error C2784: 'point<op_div<T,U>::type> operator /(const point<T> &,const U &)' : could not deduce template argument for 'const point<T> &' from 'int', and also for the point<T> / point<U> overload.
